  1. The ones in September are definitely used for qualifiers normally. February too, I believe.
  2. They're surely days when Friendlies can be played, not necessarily days when Scotland will or have played friendlies and are actually the dates that are generally used for the qualifiers, no?
  3. Scotland play three friendlies a year during the season? as much as that? What a joke.
  4. The league season is broken up enough by international fixtures these days, adding more to it will needlessly extend the season.
  5. Livi 3 Red Stars 6 (SIX) Great performance by Red Stars, passing and movement was superb and our backline were on top throughout. A few tremendously worked goals helped stamp our authority on the game and a few of the Livi lads had the good grace to let us know we are the best side they've come up against this season. Hopefully the lads can take this into Sunday when we play in a tournament down in Troon (get your boots on BigAl! )
  6. Nice one Harcus. Always thought Bain looks a thoroughly dodgy guy, and at least McIntyre can get back to making documentaries in his free time now...
  7. Word going about that Bain has been suspended due to financial irregularities at Ibronx. Not sure how accurate it is.
  8. Did that not finish last week..?
  9. No doubt "JT" will be crying. "Lamps" will be pointing to the sky. "Cech" will be putting massive helmets on his head so he doesn't die talking to someone about lampshades. etc
  10. Ancelotti sacked by the London Huns. why? I dont get this. There's no way Torres was his signing, that's obvious, but why force a struggling Torres on Ancelotti? He's clearly a good manager, this is totally nonsense. As much as i hate the club, they really should realise how lucky they are to have Ancelotti there. Been somthing very wrong there since Wilkins left..... Who's next?
  11. Precisely. Same with West Ham. Someone did a "half time league table" and West Ham were way up the league... but if you can't defend leads for 45 minutes then I'd say you probably deserve to go down.
  12. He's not talking about Adam who does the cocktails....
  13. Blackpool will be missed by many, Birmingham missed by very few I'd imagine. Turgid fare from them throughout the season. Big Eck sacked tonight and takes the West Ham job within a couple of days is my prediction.
  14. Geordie Munrovers 6 Red Stars 3 After a great result and performance midweek, only 4 players who started that game could make it today. With a goalkeeper and two outfield players making their debut it was always going to be a struggle. We lost a horrendous goal inside a minute from a corner and looked unsettled for the next ten, but after that we grew into the game, and captain for the day Martin started putting in an excellent display of midfield work setting up a couple of chances before "Diet Gordon" sprung clear of the home defence to fire into the top corner from 18 yards. Unfortunately a soft goal was conceded almost straight away and then another defensive lapse caused the third on the stroke of half time. The second half started positively but a plethora of missed chances eventually led to the inevitable of them breaking and getting a fourth from a nothing attack. A fifth soon followed that was allowed to stand despite the fact the scorer was only 5 yards offside. A second was claimed for Red Stars before another debatable goal for Rovers was allowed to stand. The ref chuckling away with his Fife cohorts as they went back to the half way line. The goal of the game came from Red Stars man Stu C as he spun away from two inside his own half and sped into the opposition half. He ran at their defence and two of them claimed for offside (honestly, that's what we were up against today ) and Stu just kept running and went right through them, into the box and finished with great aplomb in the bottom corner. Away to top of the league Livi on Wed. Come on Reds!!!!!!!
  15. In which case Foster is both the best and only full back at the club. Hardly a ringing endorsement.
  16. Are we all talking about the same Ricky Foster? There is not a chance he's better than Smith at full back. Foster can be a good player, but too often he just isn't good enough. The ten yard pass is his nemesis for FFS sake!!
  17. And there's not a chance you'd be paying £1m per man for them, either.
  18. Why wouldn't you? Weakens them financially, doesn't particularly strengthen them on the field, doesn't particularly weaken us on the pitch as he's not been here for a year and when he was he was .... well, occasionally competent. He's not David Robertson. Which is a shame.
  19. If it was he'll need to give it a good wash... he was blowing out his hole after 30 seconds of penalties.
  20. Can't believe i missed Hollyoaks for that...
  21. ... and will be in goals facing penalties from Rod Stewart and some wee girl shortly. I've had to sit through this pish waiting for it to come on.
  22. Exactly. And they know we're skint and they know how tight Milne is. If it's a great deal more than £250k i'll be shocked... remember, the huns will know full well what his salary is, and that is the driver in these deals.
