  1. Have cut remainder of your post Slim, sorry, but this part hit a nerve with me when I listened to McGhee interview. McGhee himself said his reaction to booing.... "As a player, I would have wanted to challenge that, prove them wrong" .... but with regards today's players ... ".... we live in different different times and different players take different attitudes?" #... WTF does that mean?! To me it means they don't give a shit for the club they signed for. They have a contract, guaranteed money. Fans boo me, "am I bovvered?!" £Noooo, feck the Pie&Bovril minions!
  2. Apologies, didn't read your previous post correctly. Off the booze too after Saturday!!
  3. +1 Hebrew Raith played nae bad , definitely in effort and passion. Seriously though we did have some short bursts of good play... Scotsport played them all! For financial reasons I haven't got to as many games this season as I'd have liked to, but Saturday definitely didn't inspire me to pay £74 for a game at Pittodrie, excluding any food or drink. [£22 ticket, £10 (return) taxi's to nearest train station and £42 return to Aberdeen for train] I agree that there many things I'd rather be doing than watch the Dons play like that, remember miserable home gubbings by Livvy (and their fecking drum!) under Paterson , but have to ask, can I have the you and your other halves version of kama sutra as nae getting near a million things to do!
  4. Note from poll, 2 votes for no, however quick scan of posts I don't see anyone admitting to that?
  5. Partially agree Padre, with your latter point. Imho Zander was our MOTM on Saturday, despite only being on the pitch for several minutes, as as you said he inspires his team mates and us as supporters. We all know he is not an Aberdeen fan, but we also know that whilst he is in our team he would run through a brick wall for the club. He is a leader, vocal and hopefully will be fit for the rest of the season as we have really missed him. Re Kerr, I'm not convinced he even has a future at the club, farless as Captain, unless he gets back to the player we had last sesaon.
  6. I acknowledge what you are saying GS, however it could be a huge relief to him to relinquish the captaincy; which in turn could mean a return of his performances of last season? Yes, it could go either way, but he can't get much worse can he?
  7. re severinitis! Does sum it up though. Zander ONLY option for captain. Kerr has just not been the player he was last season, passing atrocious, nae leadership, and majority of time seems nae much effort either.
  8. Weatherwatch: Raith's pitch is reportedly like a tattie field (nae suited to our silky passing game then ), and it has rained constantly in Kirkcaldy for over 8 hours
  9. Quote fae Jagerdeen's post... Raith Rovers v Aberdeen Active Nation Scottish Cup 5th Round 3.00pm Stark's Park - Away End Sold Out Mark McGhee quotes from RedTV "The fans want to see a totally committed performance and the supporters will be demanding that, therefore the players have to try and produce it." Correct. Not just this game though, I expect a totally commited performance EVERY game. ".. therefore the players will have to try and produce it" ... try, just feckin try 100%!!
  10. In/oot: In Prematch: Pub for a drink or 12 Match: Away end, row xx Postmatch: Pub then long journey home! Prediction: 1-2 Dons
  11. Closest free parking to the ground will be in Beveridge Park car park, there are road signs for "football traffic" once you get into Kirkcaldy East or West. It is circa 10 mins walk from there down to the High Street where there are lots of pubs. Free parking is also available at the Railway Station, but I think it costs to park on the Esplanade which is nearer the pubs.
  12. Gutted! Who am I going to perv over now?!
  13. I'm disappointed, as on reading thread title imagined my fav players in their speedos!
  14. Novar will be mobbed. How old is his Son?
  15. The Abbey (previously Abbotshall Hotel) is closest to Starks Park. I've emailed them and football tops are allowed.
  16. Agree it's a decent ground now. If I recall correctly Raith invested in their stadium to meet the criteria at the time, when other clubs invested in players resulting in Raith going down the leagues. Criteria for stadiums were subsequently challenged and reduced.
  17. ` Reminiscing great FJ You intending to come back to the streets of Raith for this game?
  18. Why re trash?!, suprised at you Mizer, nae like you to want to trash anywhere. Only mentioned nae place for us sheep shaggers to go before game v Raith next week.
  19. Just mentioned one to avoid, whilst enquiries ongoing into one's to go to
