  1. Are any of you doing this I did a sponsored Zipslide over the River Clyde from Finneston Crane for Alzheimer Scotland a few years ago. Scary climbing up the open metal stairs of Finneston Crane, but what a buzz jumping off!
  2. Duff said sorry so I now feel so much better about being humiliated by Peterheid
  3. Transfer request submitted by PM
  4. ----------- Reading this thread ... more and more in disbelief initially until realisation fought it's way through the alcohol induced haze! ... eventually my brain registered the fact that we really had been gubbed by Peterheid - and it wasn't a wind up That result is a fucking disgrace, and I know where I'd stick the 'It's only a friendly' excuses!. With the lack of depth we have in the squad - a few injuries, add suspensions, then throw what's left into the tombola - realistically that could be the team we have to play sometime soon Getting myself annoyed again!!
  5. That, combined with hearing Hibees only drew with Raith Rovers, put's last night's AFC "permormance" in perspective. We were the least shite of the 3 SPL teams!!
  6. Very I said similar last night Funster in that I think he shows genuine flashes of quality, and like at the end of last season when he is played in his favoured position he scores goals as well as performs better overall. I think it's a good piece of business by AFC getting him signed up on a longer deal now.
  7. Anyone know where Diamond was tonight?
  8. We were just amazed you lasted longer than half-time Jager! Aberdeen were shockingly bad, pre-season game is not an excuse for that performance. Clangers even managed to kick out the ball for a corner Dinnae ask me how all the new players did, as the team were mainly playing in the wrong numbers and I got all confussed! (nae spelling mistake FJ, intentional!). In others opinions on train back Young, Duff and McDonald were worst three (7, 11 and 8 ). I haven't renewed my ST yet, and on that performance I'm now even less likely too

  10. Moi?!!,
  11. Don't you mean three minds?
  12. Where's the Maguire option?! I voted Zander, though close call with Barry Nic
  13. Voted Severin in the awards thread, and that hasn't changed.
  14. Agree that was definitely the best extended bounce, still even thinking about it! It was a hard choice but I went for Mackie v Dnipro, the bounce in The Globe was amazing
  15. Life of Riley gets my vote, best laugh of the season by far
  16. I will be buying the home top (well, getting it free with this years Red Rewards points ) but I do agree that the stars would look better filled in on the home top and the away top should have all the detail in either red or black.
  17. I didn't, 1 point to me! RIP Jimmy Bonthrone, a true gentleman
  18. In AFC kit teaser pic the neckline does look round, albeit I agree it is more like your description when generic Nike top is shown. I like neither!. I do agree with you that the ADT logo was hideous, and the Apex logo was tastefully done. Had read Acergy were possible sponsors for next season, so :fingerscrossedsmilie: for a classy design
  19. Sad news. Thanks again for the Aberdeen v Liverpool tickets in 1980 RIP Jimmy
  20. I concur
  21. 55. Aberdeen FC start waiting list for Season Tickets
  22. I know I'm very much in the minority, but I'm happy Maguire is apparently "not for sale". Maguire is always one of the best players in Aberdeen and Scotland U19's games. He has alot of potential which he has shown when he is actually played in position and not on the wing. I agree with rocket that ... Alot of people appear to have short memories as seem to have already forgotten it was Maguire who scored the 2 goals against Falkirk to take us into the Top 6, as well as the late winner at ICT the previous game. Maybe it is fortunate that he is confident, possibly arrogant. He will need it to cope with the boo boys, and girls, within the Aberdeen "support".
  23. . That song reminds me of the drunken aftermath of that game in April 51. I am now 40 years old and have NOT given up all hope of the Dons winning at Ibrox again in my lifetime
