  1. From the little I’ve heard, he’s done ok. It’s just that he’s made of glass and can’t play more than 2 games without getting injured.
  2. Contract was terminated by mutual consent. Fell out with Sheerin soon after Sheerin was appointed. Went straight down the road and signed for Leicester.
  3. West Ham are signing Scottish right back Michael Kelly from Bristol Rovers. If his name is familiar it’s because he was on our books until a few years ago.
  4. I work in Abu Dhabi. Not somewhere I would choose to go on holiday when you have the rest of the world to choose from.
  5. Was there, he also scored a header from a corner but the ref disallowed it for a push on the defender who was about 5 yards away. He was also hacked down in the box, but was one of about half a dozen stonewall penalties not given. Bit of a feisty match, seemed to be a bout of handbags every 10 minutes, lots of meaty challenges going in. Cosgrove seemed to be enjoying himself. Gleeson was always the first team mate steaming in as back-up which was good to see. Started off: Lewis Ball Considine McKenna Shinnie McLennan Gleeson Campbell Wright Wilson Cosgrove Campbell went off at half time and was replaced by Reynolds. Reynolds went central defence, Considine to left back and Shinnie to midfield. Shinnie went back to left back later when Forrester came on for Considine. GMS came on at half time for McLennan and looked very, very sharp. Virtanen (I think that's who it was, he was wearing 25 which I think is Anderson's number?) came on at right back and looked fairly solid. Not much else to report, my 4 year old daughter got a big cheer for hitting a sweet first time left footed pass back onto the pitch when a loose pass came our direction
  6. We turned down £6m from Aston Villa. Hendry + Hayes are not worth £2m. Plus I’d be looking for more money from a direct rival.
  7. NYC are funded by the same guys who own Man City, should be possible to squeeze them for a few hundred k’s you’d think?
  8. Just been released by an Australian team for being shite. I’d hope there’s nothing in it.
  9. Why is May taking set pieces? His striking of the ball is atrocious.
  10. Shinnie just followed what Scott Brown did down at Section Y near the end of the first half. Ref made it clear he was willing to give a foul for that. Our defence was as weak as you'd expect with 2 of the 4 defenders being played out of position. As much question marks there are over Gleeson in midfield, if Dom Ball playing in central defence is preferable to Gleeson in central midfield, we might as well terminate his contract now.
  11. I fancy Gleeson not to lose his arse in a battle with Scott Brown like Shinnie does far too often.
  12. Another yellow card we should be appealing, this time for Ferguson. His crime was being manhandled over then pushed again when he tried to get up. Did absolutely nothing to retaliate.
  13. Never been that impressed with McGeouch, and I certainly wouldn't be throwing a massive contract at him.
  14. If we have such financial constraints, we shouldn’t be wasting our wage budget on squad fillers. We have our youth team and/or the loan market for that (precisely why he’s here in the first place). Instead of giving him a 2/3 year contract, we should easily be able to switch him out with another disposable loan player.
  15. Not for me. He's been here 18 months and hasn't been able to cement himself in our starting 11 despite not really having that much competition - he's been getting a game because Gleeson/Tansey have been shite, not because he's played his way into the team.
  16. He’s a miserable whingebag, every anecdote I’ve heard about him from old team mates has been about how grumpy he is. I remember his book signing at Costco in Westhill, sat there with a face on barely engaging with anyone. Great goalkeeper but fed up hearing how he’s so hard done by.
  17. We've got a cup final song this year:
  18. Complacency after a good run of form.
  19. He’s spot on about the fear of failure and the “ach that’ll never work” attitude.
  20. Going to see The Weeknd and Guns N Roses next weekend. Also have tickets for Sam Smith but letting my missus take her friend instead. Also got tickets for Post Malone but sold them after googling who that was and listening to some of his music. Dreadful stuff.
  21. 33 year old Richard Foster bumping his gums this morning about not being called up to Scotland squad because he plays for St Johnstone
  22. As above, the team more or less picks itself now. The only question marks are on the ‘No.9’ and ‘No.10’ positions. We’re suffering a bit from Forrester being pap as we don’t really have a ‘No.10’ to be the main creative outlet in the centre.

    Aberdeen Mad

The bigger problem is that there’s a culture that Rangers and Celtic must be treated equally because if you show even a tiny bit of preference for one or the other, you’re automatically a rabid Hun/Fenian. I hate Rangers more than Celtic. Celtic are pricks but they’re one dimensional pricks. There’s something a lot more sinister about Rangers. They’re a grotesque organisation in all aspects.
  24. It'll be something to do with the contract along the lines of not being able to open the road until they give the contractor the taking over certificate which will start the defect liability period, which they won't want to do while the contractor is still working. There will be payment milestones connected to most likely. The MSP chap said something about them being able to open the completed stretch once the contractor agrees to the proposed variation order, that sounds about right. I imagine the VO will be incredibly unfavourable towards the contractor.
  25. Safe to say that we have now found our strongest starting 11?
