My take on it would be if the only offered exactly what they were already on. Meaning with the price of inflation they'd be on slightly less. Although I've yet to read anywhere that any of the 4 rebels were actually offered less. Someone did mention that they'd be looking to cut the higher earners but that won't include those 4.

Would be slightly more exciting if we had half decent players coming in mind you. But I'm going to say no. Better the devil you know and until results start to slide then I'm happy to be making £200k from selling Chris Clark*, still being in a good position all four competitions, trips abroad to watch us play Bayern München* and Atletico Madrid. Of course we'd all like to dream that Yogi, Dingus or A.N. Other could take us to the mystical 'next level' but then the nightmare's of Pele and Ebbe are still too fresh in my memory. * These still haven't quite sunk in with me yet.

You've also go to remember it may not purely be down to money. These lads could easily have clocked up around 30 years playing in the SPL. Watching the average SPL game for 30 minutes is sobering enough. Imagine having to turn up sober each week and take part in it!

If that were the case then we'd have sold Zero for millions. What's the chances of Clark doing a McNaughton/Anderson and sticking a few quid into the Dons kitty? Always a nice jesture imo.
