Club to appeal Pawletts red card v hibs
Superstar Tradesman replied to mizer's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
That's fucking ridiculous! > The guy tackling him says there was contact but the club are basically saying there's no point appealing. I've honestly had it. Can they just not be arsed? -

Over the last week or so I've spoke with a good few friends and collegues who have all told me they can't wait for this year to draw to a close. All for a variety of reasons which I won't bother to go into. Ahhh......... go on then......... No, best not. Anyway, it got me thinking and despite nothing untoward happening in my own life, I too am looking forward to wrapping up 2011. I suspect that could have something to do with a couple 'big' holidays coming up in Dec, Jan and Feb. I'm a little peturbed by that though. I have always looked forward to what the future might bring and the start of a new year but I cannot ever remember wishing my time away so much before, or maybe I have and I've just not noticed and it's been highlighted by others wishing the same? What is the general consensis out there, was 2011 a bogey, or have you had a string of good luck? Or was it just a bog standard year, same as any other with the usual ups and downs?

I've seen that Dali in the flesh and I can't for the life of me remember where.

So Ian McCall's a winner for sporting a tracksuit but Fergie's a loser for wearing a shirt and tie. Cuckoo.

Ifs, buts and maybes in there. Here are some facts: We can't fill the stadium we currently have that is within walking distance of the city centre and people's homes. Pittodrie is "falling down" despite our chairman building thousands of constructions all over Scotland each year. Not one aspect of the club has been a success under Milne's stewardship, why should this be any different?

.......unless you cannot afford to make repayments, regardless of the extensive cost cutting exercises you've done over a 15 year period, much to the detriment of your very existance.

The 108th Aberdeen Football Club AGM
Superstar Tradesman replied to mizer's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Was that written by Kim Jong-Il's spin doctor? -
It just keeps on getting worse doesn't it? I'm certain we were sold the new stadium on the grounds that it would clear out debt. Now we're being told we'll still have the same amount of debt but own less. What's the fucking point in that?!

Club to appeal Pawletts red card v hibs
Superstar Tradesman replied to mizer's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
The Huns appealed the Aluko decision and that didn't result in any more of a punishment when it was knocked back so surely we're going to? Someone from AFC needs to go in armed with the facts from the players involved. -
Boyd at Aberdeen? Don't make me laugh. He's yet another Central Belter that gets a nose bleed when he up sticks and moves away from home. Kenny Miller being another one, just like Boyd's fellow lover of Bolivia; O'Connor. Surprised Aiden McGeady hasn't arrived back at Prestwick yet with his extensive collection of shell suits. But then again he never wanted to admit any links to Scotland in the first place.

Club to appeal Pawletts red card v hibs

I can see him getting off with both tbh honest. The penalty was a soft one but there's no denying the fact that he was sandwiched between two players. Unlike Aluko, who had nobody within arms length of the cheating, diving, Hun fuck. -

Surprised not to see Darren Mackie in there dropping off a few dozen of his old books. -
The "How much will we get for Pittodrie" Sweepstake
Superstar Tradesman replied to Tyrant's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
If that's the case then they've already managed to pull the wool over my eyes. I was under the impression that the 80% that they've raised wasn't through loans. Then again I'm not really surprised to hear that they have raised it this way. Doing it by themselves would involve effort. All in all I've not paid much attention as I simply don't give enough of a fuck about the club and even less so for the move. -
"Hibernian's head of performance" I love a good oxymoron.

The "How much will we get for Pittodrie" Sweepstake
Superstar Tradesman replied to Tyrant's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Why we talking about mortgages? I'm sure I read somewhere this week, possibly in another thread, that Milne and his stooges had raised 80% of the new stadium. -
Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications Bill
Superstar Tradesman replied to mizer's topic in Off Topic
More dumbing down of society. Targeting football fans is the easy option of course. These football fans will no doubt have had a decade or more of 'religious hatred' brewed up before they even entered a football ground and started chanting about Fenians and Blue Noses. How about tackling the problem at the source. Knock Catholic/Protestant only clubs, schools and organisations on the head and they'll have nothing to chant about at the football other than the football. Then they can concoct some other half-baked law about not being allowed to sing in public without a licence. -
Somebody has to go........ So we can't even afford free players now. What's the point?

He certainly came across as having done his homework on us. In fact the way he was speaking it seemed like he's seen a lot of our games despite us not being on the box that often. I wonder if he's paying attention because his old gaffer Brown is there? I think the 'individual errors' remark was echoing Brown's comments of the team not having played poorly in games all season, we've just had moments of madness from players that have cost us. I suppose if the team have gelled, they have a good dressing room and they're all of a similar standard with everyone pulling their weight then there has to be a reason we are where we are. Brown thinks it's not gettng the rub of the green. McCann thinks it's individual errors. Personally I think it's because the standard of player just isn't good enough and these moments where they switch off are part and parcel of bargain basement spending.

Darren Fletcher takes "extended break"
Superstar Tradesman replied to glasgow sheep's topic in Football Chat
Another blow to *Man U. Their players are dropping like flies this season. *Edit - should probably add that it is a huge blow to Scotland too. -
As long as he doesn't write about assaulting someone on Facebook he should be fine.
