Oh....... and CAPSLOCK iz yo Daddy!

Cashier No 9 Stumbled upon them and I'm quite pleasantly impressed so far. Don't know anything about them though. Think I'll have to have a dig.

I'll give you the stadium issue but I'm struggling to see the investment potential of your second point. You saying if 'the rich' Ian Wood spends £50m that he'll profit by Milne building a few hundred flats across the road? Even with an underground carpark they're going to have to charge some amount to park there to claw back the £140m. Had it been more retail or business orientated then I'd agree but it is, as far as I can tell, it's still going to be a park or garden. I'm sure someone will profit but I don't necessarily think those investing, this illuminati of yours, are the ones looking to merely cash in.

At least Milne might actually have a clue what he's doing in his new role. -
If they dumped £50m of notes into the gardens I might actually pay them a visit.

It's the tall poppy syndrome. -
Amazing? Really? Or would they just be gardens with lights in them? I'd imagine the £140m isn't sitting in the bank burning a hole in someone's pocket. That figure will be for the gardens and gardens alone. If it isn't spent on the garden project then it'll cease to exist. I'm sure Ian Wood said that of his £50m at least.

Who gives a flying fuck what the Huns or their supporters think? Other than our Board that is. Fuck them. Board included.

Kind of agree to a certain extent. My feelings are that the article could have been written after any OF game and it's only a collective licking of the Red Army wounds. Skip forward a few months and we'll be witnessing another halfbaked sending off of a red whilst an OF player gets awarded a penalty at the other end for assaulting one of our players. The game's a bogey.

First game I've been to since Hartley scored a hat-trick of pens on his debut. Had to buy a programme as I didn't have a clue who half the team were. Don’t think we ever looked like winning that game but I don’t think we played too badly. Just lacked some punch going forward and I couldn’t really see where goals could possibly come from, other than set pieces, but they were generally quite poor. Thoughts: Considine has really matured into a good solid defender. Clears his lines well, doesn’t panic, and looks to pass his way out of trouble rather than lumping it up the park. Probably man of the match for me. Mawene doesn’t look like quite the bomb-scare that he did when I’ve watched us on the box. Would be interested to hear how that performance stands against his usual Saturday showing. The RDS is beginning to look pretty weathered. I guess they’re just leaving it to crumble with the rest of Pittodrie now but still, it was sad to see the state of it. Think we’ve got a decent back-bone of a squad now but still a few players that are below par. We look a lot more physical than we have done in years and that can only be a good thing with all the smaller, young guys coming through. Don’t think relegation is of concern now. Top six obscurity/security would be my prediction.

People always hate change, but I'm staggered at how many on this occasion. On a slight tangent.... I saw a picture of some building that's going in round the region of The Adelphi. Can't remember the name of it, City Gate or some such pish. If you were standing down market street by the harbour you could see it sticking out over the granite by quite some distance. Sore thumb-esque. In fact it looked a lot like the council one that should have been knocked down the minute it was put up, and still hasn't been. Think it was some sort of office space as well. That said, I'm all for changing the gardens.

Good news travels fast it seems. I received an email from a lass I met in Japan asking if it were true. Sent me this link of her mates band.... (although it's probably not of any interest to anyone other than those who love mad quirky lovable Japanese folk) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQqgNpPLe2Y -
No idea. Crazy notion. Blue skies?

.......followed by a world tour with new music. How many times we going to read the headline 'What The World's Been Waiting For' over the next few weeks? -
2, 4 or 6 for me. 5 maybe, looks a little like the Oslo Opera House up the back there but I can't really make out what's going on. 1 won't look anything like the design. For starters it will be grey instead of white and there'll be 6' high railings all over the shop to stop folk killing themselves and each other. It'll end up looking like motorway flyovers on spaghetti junction. I'll go for 4 so I'm not sitting on the 6' fence. Looks like it's nice and open, slopes around and links nicely into the various levels of the streets in and around the gardens. Couple beer gardens at the back of Belmont wouldn't go a miss though.

Cheer up sleepy dreams, just pulling your plonker. That's why I said 'I'm beginning to wish they'd just stop (releasing new albums), so that they don't tip the scale in the wrong direction'. Burgess getting hitched and moving to LA seems to have been the turning point for me. A messy divorce and a fair amount of gear should get them back on track. Otherwise they should step aside for the big boys. One love BB. -

Here fishy-fishy. The albums they had from Some Friendly up to and including Wonderland I've listened to on repeat for the past 20 years. That's probably why I've seen the band (at a guess) around 20 times. The albums since then I really can take or leave them. In fact after a new one comes out I'll give it a good few listens to see if it's a grower then it'll start gathering dust. 'Songs From The Other Side' I'd have in my Desert Island Discs any day of the week because it has everything from that era and a whole lot more (The Chemical Brother stuff) and that's a B-Side and rarities album! I'm sure they'd manage to compile a good second 'Best Of' since 'Melting Pot' but albumwise they're just not coming close for me. To be honest, it's taken me around 5 years to admit that to myself. -

For as much as I love The Charlatans, and I do really love The Charlatans. They must have released as many bad albums as they have great ones. In fact I'm beginning to wish they'd just stop doing so, so that they don't tip the scale in the wrong direction. -

Aye, but can he run a chipper? -
Agreed. I'm certainly not having a go at him although I would prefer if we were a little more gung ho in games. I just think he sounds like a beaten man before he's even started talking be that matches, team selections, tactics or the Scottish game in general. Maybe he's realised he's on a hiding to nothing? I seem to remember when he first accepted the job that he was beating his chest about grass-roots-football, grass-roots-football, grass-roots-football. But then I've not heard him mention it once since. Reminds me a bit of a politician who says he'll change the world before he's elected in and does nothing once he's in the hot seat. Although I'm sure that's down to having his hands tied by the 'powers' that be.

I quite liked Levein before he took the Scotland job. Certainly don't remember him being so negative in his demeanour or approach despite being in charge of United. Especially liked the way him and Thompson went on a rant about the OF getting all the refereeing decisions after his team had basically been cheated out of a win. I have fond memories of that and remember wishing we had someone at our club willing to make a stance like that rather than constantly rolling over and taking one in the arse. Sadly he seems to have had that knocked out of him these days.
