  1. Didn't realise The Grill did cocktails?
  2. For passing it onto your Mum? Yes.
  3. AIDS will do that to a person.
  4. Is this a move by United to hurt us in the pocket in the hope there will be a lot less Reds in attendance? If it is, ach, scrub that...... even if it isn't, I'd like there to be a lot less Reds at the next United game on their turf. See how they like an empty stadium the next time we play them instead of us filling their coffers. Not like we ever win there anyway.
  5. No. You would hope so, but nope. It's mostly because he's pureranjursbyrawaybigman, especially now he's pulled on the blue. Or some such shit.
  6. Whether you believe that or not it's up to you. But you can bet your bottom dollar that he'll have a finger in that pie along with the building of the new stadium somewhere along the line. Providing man power, materials, equipment, etc. All at a tidy profit for his back pocket. To think otherwise would be just as foolish as to believe he was just in it to get the land Pittodrie sits on.
  7. Foster is a win-win situation for Aberdeen. Either we get money for him or we get back a versatile right back on our books for nothing. I don't see why anyone should not feel pleased about that.
  8. Couldn't have been cheap all these changes. Where do we send the money to this time? igotmadweaponz@bondworld.com microwaves@currys.ls
  9. *ST goes to search ebay.
  10. Never heard of him.
  11. £800 a week do him? Didn't think so.
  12. That's it, take a slice of what happened and claim it to be the whole story. I'm fairly certain that's what I told the post-it note wavers what would happen if they went ahead with their laughable quest to get McGhee in the hot seat.
  13. New photos eh. Still no word on how they're gonna pay for it though. Maybe they should get the artist to sketch up a few thousand buckshee £100 notes whilst he's at it? Farcical.
  14. Better than Langfield now. 'Come on leaps and bound over the past 12 months' isn't quite in the 'snap-him-up' bracket I'm looking for to be honest and quite possible he could fall into the 'not-as-good-as-Langfield' in 6 months time catagory if Leighton gets him back on course. If we're going to replace Langfield then I'll say it one more time - we need a 'keeper who is a good all-rounder, one who will outshining all the others in the Kjaer, Theo or Leighton mould. Swapping like for like is pointless.
  15. Give them time, they'll probably be lucky if they've even unpacked their travelling rugs and Tunnocks yet. To get 'better players' we're going to have to spend money. We don't have any and we won't be given anything anywhere in the region of what we need. So the plan will be to offload players and bring in whoever falls into the bracket of 'free', 'cheaper', 'lower wages', 'available' and 'better'. None of which fills me with a sense of 'good will to all men'. If you want proof of this, take a look at the past 15 years. Then look at what has happened during those 15 years. Then realise that it's the same shite, different day/week/month/year/decade/era/ambitionless board. "Nothing to lose"..... but their health or a couple hunner grand to top up the Werthers Originals fund when it's time to collect the next Stuart Milne golden handshake.
  16. Well until you name a suitable replacement I don't see why we should go out looking to sign one. We currently have no full backs at the club and if we were to plug these gaps first then I'm certain the lump of flesh we have between the sticks might actually start to perform.
  17. Cashing in to achieve what exactly? I have zero doubt in my mind that the money we 'gain' from his departure will result in his wages being halfed to bring in someone even worse, whilst any dosh we might make off of him won't even cover a few month's interest on the quagmire of debt we owe to the banks. And so the downward spiral shall continue.
  18. I'll agree with most of that. I'll still laugh at the thought that there are 7 better 'keepers in the SPL. They're simply all just different shades of shite.
  19. Is the right answer. On form Langfield was getting Scotland call ups and was being offered a parking space on the Hun bench. The rest were not. None of those names bar McGregor jump out at me. None of them scream 'better'.
  20. Aye, we need players who will fight for the claus. Ho-ho-ho.
  21. I'm utterly convinced that the serious lack of competition for starting places is the main problem at our club. High wages and shite performances are rewarded with a starting place each weekend.
  22. Name them. Whilst you're at it, tell me how many caps and/or call ups they have. Outwith the OF there are no stand-out 'keepers. They're all much of a muchness and Langfield was at least getting labelled as being the best of them until McGhee started trying to play football manager.
  23. Better players are all south of the border making a packet. There are also a fair few who have gone down there and been found out but still earned a packet. The location of Aberdeen, 9-0 drubbings, no cups in decades and penny pinching all works against us. So we pay decent wages to shit players from the bargain basement and end up no better off than anyone else in the league and the downward spiral continues.
