  1. Foster and Langfield were dropped for speaking out of line. I meant dropping players for being shite.
  2. 19. Never dropping players unless you're called Andrew Considine.
  3. Noah And The Whale. Good wee album that.
  4. Well no, not really. I made a point in saying 'we'll strive for 3rd place by pulling our collective fingers out' rather than trotting out the age old statements such as "we'll beat.....", "3rd is ours", "we're going to do....... this....... that....... the other" and other such bullshit that they always seem to promise but never go halfway to deliver.
  5. Please list the worst points, games, records or underachievements under JC so we can compile some sort of for and against list to see if there's been more highs or lows. Try to keep it to a few words or one line. 1. 5-0 gubbing at Ibrox.
  6. Please list the best points, games, records or achievements under JC so we can compile some sort of for and against list to see if there's been more highs or lows. Try to keep it to a few words or one line. 1. 4-0 gubbing of Copenhagen.
  7. There is no broon option so I had to type it. We've broken all sorts of records under JC. Good and bad. I fully expect that to be another one for the pundits to add to his list.
  8. Well how about words along the lines of: Instead we get: No Jamie, it's disappointing when 90 minutes of football against a lower league team doesn't go quite to plan and it goes to a second leg. It's a fucking embarrassment however when you can't perform well enough to beat that same team a week or so after, after another 90 minutes of ineptitude, extra time and a fucking penalty shoot out!
  9. I can confirm it's actually 3. But I just made that up.
  10. Jobs for the boys. Hope the Ultras never binned that bedsheet from last weekend.
  11. What he's saying is true but...... The simple fact of the matter is, we'd went 100 or so minutes up until that point and I'm sure most of those booing were feeling pretty exasperated by then. Taking Sone off and replacing him with Duff was the reason I was tearing my hair off. Not because he was subbing Sone.
  12. As I'm not there to see the performances other than the odd tv appearance, I've a slightly different view to most on here. Some might say that means my views don't really count for much but I prefer to think of it as having a bit more perspective. As I've said on another thread; I doubt JC will be getting his jotters over the odd blip here and there. Managers of middle of the road clubs just don't get binned after being dumped out a cup by a lower league team whilst they're still in with a shout of Europe. Especially as we have nobody at the helm of our club with anything that resembles anything like ambition. You just have to look at the new stadium 'progress' whilst another 2 million Milne homes get the go ahead and are built in the meantime. What I will say is and here's the perspective I'm talking about; If JC could only learn from his mistakes then I still feel he could still do a job for us. Problem is, he never seems to and it's the same mistakes each time that it counts that keeps fucking us over.
  13. Broon option for me, in fact I'm not even going to bother voting as I've seriously lost interest.
  14. Always liked what Spiers had to say. Doesn't pull punches and is quite happy to take shots at the folk who pay his wages. That could easily have been written by a fan of the club. Especially liked this part: Far too easy to say we're asking too much because of former glories when in fact we're just asking for a slice of the pie.
  15. Of course it could go horribly wrong but I'd rather we went down fighting rather than just going through the motions.
  16. Spurred them on to draw with a team that's below them in the league. Marvelous.
  17. Managers don't get sacked because their team gets pumped by a lower league team in a cup game. We're still in with a shout of Europe, although that's more to do with there being more places available this season than us actually being good enough to be there. We're also still nearer the top half of the table than the relegation battle. Since we're still very much a middle of the road club and we've nobody at the helm with any great asperations then I'd say they're not going to give anyone their marching orders whilst we're very much still playing middle of the road stuff. That said, I don't think I'd be too concerned if there was to be some sort of head-on collision on that road.
  18. You think young lads looking to make an impression would put in performances like last Wednesday night?
  19. Dropping any underperforming player whilst your arse is on the line sounds like a good idea to me.
  20. Dropping at least one to the bench after a shite performance would be a start and send a clear message. Seve hasn't been 'a magic player' on 'one of his days' for so long I'm beginning to wonder if he ever was.
  21. As Bob says, it's been far too long since we've seen silverware and although it would be nice, it'll just be a flash in the pan like the last dozen or so names on the trophey. Europe for me is only about the money. Until we get that loan from round our neck we're never going to compete on a regular basis.
  22. These so called 'better players' that will get us 3rd place are also the same players who continually fuck us over. Reputation counts not one jot come kick-off and too many of them are resting on their half-arsed laurels. Personally I don't trust any of them.
