Well I just watched another episode of Lost and they've introduced another dozen folk who you don't really care about, just so they can kill them off at a later date without explaining anything. Does that make them The Other-Other-Others?

It's the cloak-and-dagger act that I can't be fucked with any more. What's his injury exactly? How long before he's back? Is he even training? At the moment he's worse than a man down as he's sucking money we badly need to be spent each weekend.

Exciting league finishes? Run in - schmun in! I preferred it when we were pumped in the league but going to Hampden to do congas with a striker in goals. -

You saying he's no longer wearing concrete boots? It has improved, there's no denying that but then he comes in for some rough treatment and if there wasn't someone alongside him to take the pressure off then I doubt he'd see as much of the ball.
-
Why? If you've got someone alongside you hassling defenders, stretching play, making space for you or doing all the running then wouldn't that be a benifit? Two players playing in the same position doing the exact same job as each other doesn't always work. Look at Gerrard and Lampard when they play for England. (yes I can see the difference between G&L and M&M)

Sounds like a mix between Weeds and My Name Is Earl.

What's the gist Padders?

I was going to say just that. He was booed rotten every time he kicked the ball on his debut, heard his young family was reduced to tears in the stand. Seem to remember he then pinged in a volley straight from a corner kick then followed it up again shortly after with another. Boo boys eh.

It's the age old arguement surrounding the Dazzler but you've got to realise that there's no lump sum of money sitting in the bank to buy a better striker. If it's a kid that you're after, who will be just as cheap and probably just as ineffective then we've already got that in Maguire. Shades of shite in otherwords. But at least the Dazzler does the hard work, chases balls and knocks fuck out of the opposition's back 4. Something that Miller the great white hope will never do, nor Maguire. It may just be that Miller's having such a good spell because he has someone alongside him to do all that. The problem is that when either/or is injured then we'll be royally fucked. Unless of course Wright has realised he's not taking part in a game of volleyball.

I emersed myself in Grand Designs for a while but haven't watched it in ages. It's like gadget porn for auld cunts! Anyone see the one where they showed windows that turn from clear to opaque at the flick of a lightswitch?

You obviously missed the winky at the end which might have alerted you to the fact I was taking the piss. Here's another one in reply to your post - Big time!

Yeah, the wooden handle scene was my breaking point. I could quite easily take it or leave it now. I'll maybe just watch the whole series in one sitting instead of spreading it out. Generation Kill is another that I was meaning to get into. Gold star to whoever mentioned that.
-
I'm at that stage now. I couldn't give a toss who lives and dies now.
-
I've watched it from the start and am onto the 5th series now but I think they've 'jumped the shark' at the end of the 4th. Spend the whole time watching it trying to work out what's happening now which isn't very enjoyable but I'm so far into it now I.... must.... watch.... next.... week.... regardless....
-
The Bowie episode in the first series still makes me wee myself. Dexter hasn't been mentioned in here yet. Thumbs up from me. If you liked 6 Feet Under and The Sopranos then get it watched.

That was one that I was contemplating for the next download but I had reservations mostly along what you've outlined regarding the stereotypical yank cops. Prison Break was another that seemed to get a lot of hype but I bodyswerved as I thought it looked a bit rank.

To be fair, I'm sure the first few days would be a laugh but the UK seriously lacks any diversity these days. Take a walk down practically an highstreet and you could easily mistake it for any other city. "Right Oz, where we drinking today?" "How about All-Bar-One?" "Nah, we did that yesterday, fancy a couple at or the Wetherspoons instead?" "Aye, magic" Back on topic: I decided a year or so ago that tv was a huge waste of time. I mean that's old news and I'm sure we probably all agree with that, but I actually decided to switch it off more or avoid channels. Other than documentaries or the news stations where I might actually learn something other than 'Box 2 is worth 20p' or sport, I've only really been watching films and downloaded tv series. MTV doesn't even bother to show music these days and there's only so many people hurting themselves on skateboards or Sweet Sixteen birthday parties you can watch before you buy a scoped rifle and slot some fuckers.

Worcester, Burton-on-Trent, Dublin, Edinburgh’s Princes Street Gardens, Wigan, Dover......... Hud me back.

Amen brother. I don't get the people who knock it. It's always worked perfectly for me other than the first few games where they were ironing out the glitches and for a few quid a month I think it's a bargin!

The thing is, there's not really a huge hole in the team where he's being missed each Saturday. Sure if he came back all-systems-go then he'd improve the squad. But how many times and how long ago was it that he last did either of those on a regular basis? I say he's got until the end of the season to show what he's made of. If it's fits and starts then we bin him and strengthen the squad because I just don't think his heart is in it.
