Personally I think he's been fucking shit. If he actually spent his time trying to win the ball rather than win free kicks then I'm sure he'd go a long way to me eating my words. Until then I'm going to keep thinking his pathetic attempts at cheating are ruining his game. Apparently he's "good in the air", anyone got any stats of how many he's scored with his head? Dropping him to the bench will take away the option of our dire long ball game and actually mean we might play some football for a change.

....and who took the arm band?

.......and we put in a performance. Any link between the two or is it just coincedence?

Red Army wrong to boo Dons players

I wasn't there and I never even bothered to listen to the game but I'll wager nobody booed the team off the park on Saturday. Surprising what a little effort can do isn't it. -

Just me that thinks Jimbo hasn’t done anything of note then? Perhaps he’s good at putting them through their paces and keeping them fit but none of the (quite frankly – shite) ‘keepers mentioned have improved with time. My memory (surprisingly) isn’t as bad as some of yours as I still remember Preece being absolutely shocking with pass backs. In fact he made Langfield look like Johnnie Wilkinson. So that’s 2 ‘keepers there that can’t kick a ball properly being coached by someone who struggled as soon as the pass back rule came into play. Preece was a good shot stopper but he was glued to that line and never commanded his area. Langfield makes the same errors week in, week out and Esson was letting corner kicks sail over his head into the net…….. twice………. in the same game…….. more than once. Peter Kjaer reminded us how a good it was to have a proper ‘keeper at the club. If Jimbo was such a good goalkeeping coach then why aren’t there any young loons knocking at the managers door for a game? Common sense says that a little trip out to Poland and picked up some bruiser to mind our nets would be the sensible thing. Wages surely wouldn’t be a problem? They should find it easy enough to settle in the city and make themselves a local hero with the new population flooding in and there’s a few thousand more barmen / plasterers / joiners through the gates each week right there which will also benefit the club. Then again; Common Sense + Goalkeeping does not = Aberdeen Football Club. -
It looks like you've drawn a more convincing couple of 'keepers than Souter and Bossu.

Worrying times as Aberdeen lose four
Superstar Tradesman replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
I'm sick of reading about the players "hurting". If they hurt half as much as they've made out they'd be deid from the pain. Year on year the team just keeps getting worse and although the knee-jerk reaction is to blame JC, you can't get away with the fact that you can only piss with the 20 or so cocks you've got. We finished 3rd, had a few great European days in the sun and then we sold or binned half those players after getting large lump sums in the bank that could easily have went towards building on something. I'm fucking sick of it. Again. -

Jimmy: Please don’t panic!

Those stats also say that there were 11041 in attendance which I find hard to believe. I can only remember Maguire’s half-arsed attempt which trundled through the legs of a few folk and was easily smothered by the ‘keeper. After which he reacted like he couldn’t believe that someone had actually managed to save it. The rest just found it a good day out to shoot into the stands from 5 yards out. 4 shots on target at home to Dundee United. Says it all really. -
Jimmy: Please don’t panic!

Yes. And no. The pre-season is when the team should be looking to gel, speaking of which, I believe we played particularly shite then and were also gubbed 4-0 by Peterhead. There’s nothing that suggests to me that this team can play any better and year on year when we have a chance to build on the previous season we seem to stall and just tread water. Jimmy's brought us out of mediocrity but only gained us a new level of mediocrity. Top 6 finishes and scrambling for the Euro places, whilst breaking even each year might be a decent business plan but it’s boring the fans to tears. The diehards are beginning to turn their backs on it and I really fear for them bringing in any of the new generation. One shot on target at home to Dundee United. Says it all really. -
Ref offers to teach Tommy "about the laws of the game"

Good to see the consistancy that referees are famed for shining through: But... Because.... So do they or don't they.... Anyone any the wiser? -

It's the same with Langfield. Fuck knows what some of them have to do to get dropped?

I think that's glaringly obvious for anyone that doesn't have painted on eyes. In fact someone with painted on eyes could probably point at a better captain, in a room full of Scott Severins and a half chewed Aikens rowie.

When you try scrolling back through the earlier messages it keeps jumping back to the last post. For example when ? ? ? says something stupid and then changes his story 5 minutes later you can only use the scroll bar for about 2 seconds until it jumps back to the next posted item.

HA! Magic! Never even noticed that before!

I'm sick to death of these Dutch signings and I'm convinced we're not being told the whole truth behind them. On the rare occassions they're ever fit enough or not injured then they hardly get 2 games back to back regardless of how they performed.

Yet something else in the UK that they've been talking about for around a decade and still no further on with it. It worked before, it's working other places at the moment and can easily work again if some just has the fucking bollocks to ok it. Get it fucking done.

There are very few things in life as certain as Aberdeen losing when: They are on tv. There is cheaper tickets to entice fans back. We are playing the team that was recently promoted to the SPL. When we're looking like we've finally turned the corner, put in a decent performance and we've a chance to go ahead with a couple 'easy' games.

Darling Moderators, Any chance we could have links to the various boards on every screen or maybe some fancy little icons you could click on to move from board to board? It would be handy if you could jump from Off Topic to Football without having to go back to the Home page everytime. Love you, ST.
