  1. Doesn't matter if you're any good, if you're good for the dressing room then you're in.
  2. 68. Mizer has too much time on his hands.
  3. BTR sounds like he went to the same school of football as myself. Oh, wait..... You just can't beat mixing it up on the park, that's what it's all about!
  4. "To be honest", you are acting like a grade-A penis. Have you even bothered to read any of my posts where I've stated the reasons why I think he's good for the club. The only one who appears to be arguing for the sake of it appears to be you. As for me being embarressed? You really don't seem to know me at all. Which must really grate on you as you seem to appear to know it all. Having given you the benifit of the doubt up until now and a wide berth to see if it was just a phase you were going through, I've decided to confront the problem head on. Perhaps you're the one who should be embarressed having been binned from 2 other sites more than once. Although I see you seem to be quite proud of that fact. Three as they say, is the magic number. Although you might not have heard that saying either and no doubt will say I made it up. Now you can get back to what you do best, arguing and speaking to yourself as I'll revert to skipping your posts. Ahhh...... Bliss. x
  5. Bobby wins the prize.
  6. So good that the players themselves decided they'd heard enough lies and shite written about them that they decided to cut all ties. Me? I prefer to hear it straight from the horses mouth on RedTV as opposed to reading pages of articles with no actual quotes from the players. Now you know how we feel. Correct. Little white lies and big fat black motherfucking fibs - the lot! It's a well known saying in the N.E. Scotland, maybe if you listened to more than the sound of your own voice you'd have picked up on it.
  7. Or possibly I just think you're acting like a cunt.
  8. Sorry to be the one to burst your micro-climate bubble sweet cheeks, but I very much fall into the catagory of your high regard for all things North East of Scotland. But you are right on one thing, I don't read the P&J but "I bet that the majority..." of people on here would see that as a plus point. My Dad's bigger than your Dad..... Me, me, me, me, me....
  9. Since my outlook seems to be limited to a little thing I like to call 'the facts' - http://www.thedandies.co.uk/messageboard/index.php?topic=4506.0 - please feel free to enlighten me as to who could bring us more success in your mystical dream-like world which exists only in mere speculatory terms. Sure we haven't picked up any silverware yet but success for a club like ours can also be gauged by the financial rewards. Of which there has been many this season. Strange you should then write: Improvement in the fact we're tapping into that market now and have an ex-Gothenburg hero doing the scouting for us. Whereas before, them along with our local talent was being hunted by the O.F. It's obviously not going to be an overnight success unless you know how to turn 14 year olds into 18 year olds overnight? Name one player that hasn't come because of Miller's influence or one that didn't like what he had to say. From the interviews on RedTV that I've seen, there's been plenty evidence he's been instrumental in getting players in the door. I haven't said he merits huge amounts of credit, I just don't think he deserves so much stick. Give your arse a biscuit you self-obsessed cunt.
  10. I don't get all the Miller bashing to be honest. He's responsible for bringing in JC who has given us our most successful peroid in the last decade. That in itself speaks volumes to me. He's also a known face or figurehead who fronts the club, I'm sure nobody down Old Trafford moans about Charlton doing the same. Sure beats Wiggy coming out with........... well............ nothing. In the past few years there appears to be more going on than previously and we seem to be getting some sort of structure regarding the youth set up with us now tapping into the central belt area. I'm sure he can also tempt young players into the ranks having been a product of the AFC youth development himself. Whether you like him or not personally shouldn't matter, I'm pretty sure he's got the club at heart and I'm willing to say he's been the prime reason we're no longer seen as a joke club.
  11. 55. Paul Sheerin could volley the ball into the back of the net from any part of the park, past any number of players, dispite the ball only moving at 2.7 miles per hour. 56. The Merkland Stand roof had to be replaced due to safety reasons in 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009. 57. The easiest way to get fans or figureheads to stop asking probing questions is to give them a seat on the board. 58. The best time to seek alternative bus routes to the ground is to drive slowly through the harbour vicinity at 2am on a Saturday night. 59. Angus The Bull is the fastest mascot on two wheels. 60. Pensioners who want a slapping, ship's flares, snowballs and hares are more likely to make it trackside than Richie Byrne. 61. Notebooks, scrunched up bits of paper and scarfs are more dangerous than Anthrax. 62. The GUASC and The Globe Reds only go to games so they can touch each other when the Dons score under the guise of 'celebrating'. 63. It definitely looked like Ian Durrant to me and sadly he did play for Rangers some more, although you'd think Simmy had butchered him and his whole family then ate their remains. 64. Scott Severin can throw the ball so far that he can't see where it's going to land or who he's throwing it to.
  12. 23. AFC highlights are only ever 3 seconds in length and will only ever be played after the witching hour after a whole hours worth of wanking over "great" and "exciting" teams who are below us in the league.
  13. 20. We'll chant the good name of AFC, wax lyrical about our club, travel great distances to watch them play spending thousands of pounds to do so, but wearing their colours on a match day is out of the question.
  14. 19. Not booing a player is our way of telling him we like him. Actually singing his praises would be frowned upon.
  15. So the Huns have pocketed £30 million this year..... They might be able to buy a goal in the next Euro competition they're in.
  16. So all those teams bottled it but we got there because we were lucky. Hmmmm.
  17. What most folk seem to forget is that Aberdeen have never really had an abundance of international class players. Even when we were the best team in Europe, outside of Miller, McLeish, Leighton and Strachan the others were just picking up a handful of caps. The likes of Black, Hewitt, McGhee, Simpson, etc, etc, were lucky if they picked up about 15 caps between them! Where's Milners when you need him?
  18. This bit scares me somewhat: Can't we just keep on putting him through his paces until we make sure he's right? He's out of a job and probably itching to stick around.
  19. Linkage? Moi aussi.
  20. With the bams burning themselves out down in Manchester and then TITP, it might remain 'safe' for another year. Sadly only a matter of time before they start making the trip.
  21. Sorry to be the bearer of the negative post in this red-tinted thread, but..... Many factors come into playing for other teams outwith the Dons. Money being the obvious one, the fact we've never established ourselves as being the 'third force' (which in itself is pretty laughable), no real chance of silverware or Europe.... well not any better than the other 9 teams. The fans may turn up in larger numbers than those teams but we don't exactly shower our players in glory everytime they grace the park (how many songs of ours are aimed at any one player?) and then you have the league itself. For instance, seven games in one season versus Livingstone I'm sure, is as enthrawling for the fans as it is for the players. Sure you may not go onto a 'bigger' club, but you sure as fuck might enjoy yourself a fair bit more.
  22. I like a bit of Brothers In Arms from time to time. Nowt wrong with it. I'm listening to: Dan Le Sac vs Scroobious Pip - Angles Good album.
  23. As festival season is slowly creeping up on us, I thought I'd do my usual and tout my TITP tickets to the bidder mug with the most cash. Thereafter I'll go online, book flights and take in a festival with better weather, women and beer. Have done the obvious ones so far: Benicassim (nr Valencia) - http://fiberfib.com/en/line-up/line-up-2008/ Roskilde (nr Copenhagen) - http://www.roskilde-festival.dk/2008/frontpage/ Summercase (Barcelona/Madrid) - http://www.summercase.com/indexen.html But prefer to keep on, keeping on and try something new, rather than hitting the same one every year. Anyone been to any weird and wonderful others they'd recommend?
  24. JC could always just be saying this to make the Huns think we've taken our foot off the gas. .........he says, completely and utterly born out of desperation.
