Just finished reading 'Bringing Down the House' which has recently been released as a film staring Kevin Spacey. The book was ok, it's about a group of maths students who are recruited by a card shark who teaches them how to work as a team to scoop millions in Vegas playing blackjack. Not really much in it that raises the eyebrows which considering it's set largely in Sin City. I was expecting a pretty sordid story of neon lights, high class hookers and mountains of cash rolling in. But then again, what did I really expect from a bunch of maths geeks?

I’m still sulking from the semi so I can’t see past a United win. Anyone know JC’s track record against Harry Potter? From what I can recall, it’s not that great, which is a bit shit considering CL always sets his teams up the same.

Great post min, my sentiments exactly. January they pulled the plug on the season. Short changed the fans thinking they'd be happy with their little lot. Cunts.

Ach, this is the same old statement that is trotted out season after season. Now I'm not having a pop at you here, not at all. But supporting "the club" by buying your season ticket is the same as supporting Milne et al. The thing is, less and less fans are choosing to do that each season but nothing is being done by them to counter act that. It's like a slow lamenting death and once the last season ticket holder subsides, they'll be able to switch the lights off without anybody noticing. The problem is, what do you do? Stop going and harm the budget of the club you love or keep going, which makes them thing they can serve us up with any old pish and we'll keep coming back?

Wasn't convinced by Seve at the back when he was playing well so I'm even less inclined to move him there now. Chances are I won't be paying attention though. I'm still sulking.

Yeah sorry the 5 wins in a row were the games after the split, not the 5 next games as that would take us into next season. The game yesterday passed me by and I never even tuned in, such is my lack luster attitude towards the team after the semi. I didn't even know who we were playing and wasn't that bothered to find out until BTR told me on Friday.

Well to secure 3rd place I'd say we have to win as many games as possible, both to make up for being 6th and the fact someone will take points off of the Old Firm. Win 5 and we're 3rd, win 3 or 4 and it'll be out with the calculators, win less then it's over. But my point is more to do with the fact I can't remember us going on a run of wins this season because we've been painfully inconsistant. Let alone putting five decent performances together over the past 9 months. Now folk are being all optimistic about the Dons doing just that whereas I won't be holding my breath. But do admire their blind faith.

I admire all this positive thinking and blind faith but you seem to be forgetting one thing; we've been so inconsistant over the course of the season that there's no way we'll possibly get 5 wins on the bounce, let alone against the top 5 teams who have all skelpt our hides before the run in.

What's the point of all these scouting missions that JC is on if his signings are all out of his mobile phone address book?

I doubt very much that people are booing them everytime they touch the ball. They may however get onto them if they waste passes, fluff shots or control the ball into the stands. And why the fuck shouldn't you? I remember the days where a lot of players were liked by some, the dury out on others then there were those that just didn't rate them. Now we have unanimous votes for the 'utter mince' catagory.
