Chill out Mrs Diamond, we won't pick on your wee lad.

As CtS says, you need some older heads to nurture the youth so they have someone to learn off of and aspire to. A team full of loan signings might be good in the way that we'll have 11 players wanting to impress and actually good enough to go onto better things. But that's not too far off of the Dundee model when they were in the SPL and paying 11 mercinaries to come in and do the job. But I'm pleased that we have the Premiership loan signings as they'll serve two purposes. They'll show the youth what they can achieve if they get their heads down and they'll also show the older lads that they can't rest on their laurels and a bunch of kids can impress just as much. They provide the perfect link between the two age groups and we can only benefit from them playing in our team or perhaps nicking one on a cheap signing.

I'll bet that's not the way he tells it.

Smarties. Think we've scored a few last minute winners against ICT alone and had a habit of scoring late all last season. How far off the final whistle was Jamie Smith's strike against the Huns a few seasons ago?

Married with a kid, when he should be having fun?

Fair enough, but you'll probably find that the guy who holds the world record for keepie-uppies is not a professional footballer and is possibly quite average with the ball on the deck. That's why Maguire looks handy when he's fannying around at half-time, flicking the ball about, thinking he's Ronaldo. But then shites it when he's actually on the park during open play.

What I can't seem to understand is the loathing that ICT players seem to have for our fans. Are they all plastic Huns like the rest of the Inverness population?

Was wondering about the Bus signing/sponsorship at the weekend. Will First Bus have a contract with us that he must play X amount of games before the end of the season? Seems a shite deal for them if they're paying his wages but not getting any benifit out of it. Unless of course they're benifiting by paying for him not to play.

Is not achieving a top six place excusable?

I have a feeling that those who consider this season as a real failure would probably be saying the same if we finished 6th, 5th or even 4th. -
What about our league position? Surely we've suffered having so many games close together. Those that didn't pick up injuries were probably knackered and we've dropped points as a result. Anyone know how many games they've played more than us?
-
That's the only reason I can come up with although I'd be interested to hear if they'd played that many more games than us. If they were forced to field teams then they might drop points at home, give other teams a better chance of picking up silverware or play the promising youngsters or plundered players who sit on the bench most games.

Now we all know the reasons why Motherwell have 2 games in hand over us and most of the others in the league. But I noticed at the weekend that the Huns still have 3 games in hand and the Tims have 2 still to play. The Huns still have a cup game to play before their semi-final game as well. Why is this, as we've had a decent run in Europe and had to cram games in midweek? How have we had to play our league games whilst they have been allowed to put them on the back burner? Especially considering the size of our squad compared with theirs, I'm not surprised our league position isn't looking so hot.

Been doing a power of reading recently but then I've had plenty time to kill.... Nothing really standout or ground breaking, it's all been rather simple works of fiction, the Willie Miller book and one about how Africa is exploited by the 1st world countries. Currently reading 'Out Stealing Horses' which a friend of mine bought for me. It won some International Book Award or something and a review of it says the following: Nice wee dreamy read so far....

Gets away with it because he’s playing well. Had it been last season or Mackie/Maguire/Foster then all hell would have broken loose. You have to question why this even made the paper though. What exactly did anyone hope to gain from this other than taking a pop at our fans. Anyone in the Glasgow area want to tail the journalist who wrote this, so we can dish his dirt for no reason other than being a spiteful cunt?

If the injuries were the only problem with him then I’d be happy enough to keep him as a supersub. But he doesn’t come on with 15 minutes to go and bust a gut which is what you want someone with fresh legs to do. It just hasn’t worked out for him here for one reason or another. Why that is, is a completely different argument but I’d rather have a player who at least looked interested in turning up. As far as I’m concerned, his card is marked at AFC. -

Dip in form. Making the wrong choices. Not putting a shift in. Niggling injury. Plenty of decent reasons without having to cop out at "low in confidence". -

On the upside, us cyber fans will get to see the game. Every cloud and that..... -
Maguire & Considine - will they ever make it?
Superstar Tradesman replied to Kowalski's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Was going to say something similar but then Anderson sort of 'grew up' himself when he was forced to. Zander may have what it takes to do the same. Agree that Considine needs someone other than Zander to learn his trade off of though. -

So you're saying I'm better than Scott Severin? A couple of years ago I'd have taken that as a compliment. -
I however, was wearing my lucky Doc Martins and three leaf clover knuckle duster that day.

I don't understand this confidence thing. Sure you need a certain amount of confidence to play at a high level of any sport but surely you realise that you've got a level of 'it' if you're making a living out of the sport? Why is it only strikers who need confidence and why is it them who are constantly singled out as lacking some when they are playing badly? If I missed a couple of sitters during 90 minutes one Saturday then I'd still be a cocky fucker come the time of the final whistle. Especially if I was going to go into the car park, get into my flash motor and speed off to nail my popstar girlfriend. If I'd missed two penalties on the trot then I'd be nervous about taking the next one but I'd still have the confidence to kick the ball 12 yards past a 'keeper or fancy my chances in a 1-on-1. Low in confidence strikers? Fucking bottling, cry baby cunts more like! -
