Lovell not offered new deal
Superstar Tradesman replied to BobbyBiscuit's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Rumour on A-Mad is that Lovell is in the process of signing a pre-season contract with Killie. -
The problem with the Ultras is that they distract those who go to Pittodrie for a damned good moan. The downside is that they now have something else to moan about on message boards.

Imagine a female African goalkeeper! Comedy gold.

'Cypress Hill - Temples Of Boom'

I find that booing Mackie everytime he touches the ball, berating JC for his tactics and shouting abuse at the Red Ultras in some way really helps the team onto greatness. When I do that, they win 65% of the time all the time.
-
Their 'keeper's the smallest one in the team.
-
Even they're not girly enough to use hair straightners.

If I deny or admit to anything then you'll know for sure, so I'll just keep quietly smug. Sleep well. X

Just because you've been extra specially pedantic today: I'm not going to clarify it.

Richie Byrne!! Remember him? Thank fuck we got rid of.......... We what?! He's still where?! You're fucking joking aren't you?! Oh Jesus! :hammer:

I'm certain I heard that piece of pop gossip recently when they announced their new gig. Perhaps they'd sold more than them at one point in history, say by the end of the 70s? Death always improves your record sales. Three.......well.......one to go.

Is not achieving a top six place excusable?
Superstar Tradesman replied to capitalsharpie's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
The point I was making was not about missing certain players but moving players on who had more experence of the bigger games as well the impact of upsetting a fairly settled squad. By removing 2 first team regulars (no matter who that was) halfway through a seasonm for next to no reward, was suicide. It can only be likened to not having a pre-season where the team can get used to each other's traits and gel. Of course if we had brought in 2 players to improve the squad then I'd take a different stance. As for being lucky to get a European spot through the cup. No we have done well to get there but then it's a backdoor that we have luckily been granted access to if we beat QP. The cup is very much down to the way you play on the day and there's a deal of luck there too. We could just as easily been the runners-up in the other final and got nothing out of it or got to this final but not faced the Huns. -
Led Zeppelin sold more records in the States than the Beatles ever did. On the otherhand U2 are massive over there, along with rounders and The Bible. That only leads me to believe that, by and large, the States is full of brain-dead cunts. Except the Led Zep fans of course. To be honest, I couldn't give a flying fuck if the Arctic Monkeys 'crack America' as I'll still be listening to them long after they've disappeared. Not all bands have to become corporate monsters, turning over millions and filling stadiums all over the world. Some sound better in grotty wee indie clubs, down back streets where the kids hang out, smoking funny smelling cigarettes. I don't mind how big the bands I like become, chances are that I liked them when they were spotty wee kids knocking songs together in a garage or basement. I guess what I'm trying to say is, as far as your choice of music goes - you're wrong and I'm right. Today, I'm listening to 'Global Underground - GU10'

Is not achieving a top six place excusable?

This season for me stands like this: The league - very disappointing as this is the bread and butter of the club and where your diehard fans who turn up regardless need to be kept happy. The cups - showed how we can play in Europe but also showed that we're hit-and-miss when United tore us a new one. If we do beat QP and gain a European spot then we can count ourselves very, very lucky. Off the park - extremely disappointing. Sure we've pulled in millions from all the increased revenue but we should have pulled in extra fans too. But because of our league showings the opposite has happened. Although we (actually!) got money for Clark & Hart, I'm certain we could have made more cash by keeping a settled team and finishing higher up the league or passed United into the final. It now looks like half the experienced players from the Euro games have left or will leave, which leaves only the management team who will have benifited from the big occassion. We had a real chance to build on our success and we were short changed by half a season. -
I'd prefer if the new stadium just had a roof or some type of intelligent material sheeting stretched over it. Hey, you started!

Wasn't aware of this being the case. You've also got to remember that the Norwegian league is played during the summer months which must help the groundskeepers do their jobs. Having spent £350k on a new pitch, the question needs to be asked why it's in such a state already? As for asking the Uni for help - that just highlights the shambles the SPL is in. Surely a big tin building with an artificial pitch, showers, lighting and a couple heaters can't cost much? Yet none of the teams can afford it and the SFA have a handful of O.F. players to pick from.

The metric system is all the rage over hear.

My centiments exactly. I hate those bluenosed cunts so much I don't even want to see a thread about them on this site.

Not being able to find a decent bit of 'grun' to train on is a joke. But then if you're not allowed to build a golf course in Aberdeen because it might upset some birds then I'm not altogether surprised. I started out reading that press clipping shaking my head at JC then ended up agreeing with him and Miller. How long have we been crying out for training facilities now?

Zander possibly out for 6 weeks
Superstar Tradesman replied to Aberdeen_Ladette's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
All the time. -
My post wasn't aimed at the players, more the board and those who had the ability to build on our first half of the season but decided we'd had enough enjoyment for one season.
-
I felt the league season was over as soon as Hart and Clark were punted and today just reminded me why I first thought that. Anyone know what the crowd numbers were like today? Utter dross.
-
Sounds like a defensive nightmare again.
-
Yup. The exact same team as midweek, except for a whole new set of players in different positions. At a guess.
-
Lucky you're not a Hearts fan then.
