  1. It's a bloody shame really. Just when the powers that be think it's safe to keep the cheeks seperate in the semi finals it all goes wrong for them. It's a sad day for Scottish football.
  2. Always difficult to judge the feelings of the silent majority. I'm not that sure if I've ever been in a majority but I've felt I have on a few occasions, I'm also nae usually that silent. The club have tried with surveys and consultations etc. but it's usually only the vociferous who fill out surveys or attend consultations. I would say most people I have talked to over the past couple of weeks would have went with the flow, believed the scare stories, made the best of it BUT are very relieved that there seems to be a hitch and it might not happen. These are the very people that would have just quietly stopped going. No noise, no demonstrations, no posts on social media, they wouldn't have boycotted the new stadium or anything so dramatic as that, in fact they would have been amongst the first to go and have a look. However, as more obstacles were put in their way, as it became more difficult to meet the wife after she had been shopping or whatever, they would simply have just stopped going.
  3. Ach well, a Motherwell v Celtic final it is.
  4. There's tons of room and we're not starting from scratch. What about knocking down that shite new shopping center and building it there.
  5. Ah but it's Aberdeen Football Club we're talking about. Aberdeen. Should play in Aberdeen. Don't give me some makey up boundry line in the country and tell me one side of it is the city and one side of it is the shire. Inside Anderson Drive and between the two rivers is where the stadium should be. If you choose to live outside the city then fair enough. One of the drawbacks of that decision though is that you do have to come into town on a regular basis when the delights of Garlogie ( or wherever) are just not enough.
  6. Well of course, what you want to happen doesn't really influence events so I'm happy to want a Celtic defeat. Preferably a Celtic defeat after extra time with a heap of injuries and a couple of sending offs.
  7. Your sympathies definitely lie in the right place.
  8. Transport problems are going to be the same wherever you build outside the city. Whats more, the revenue 12,000 - 20,000 people bring to the center of town will be lost. We just don't have a transport system capable of letting people have a meal and a few pints in Ma's / Prince /Lumpie etc. and then get quickly and easily out to and back from a new stadium in the sticks. The Dundee police have complained for years about Dons fans taking their cars. Apparently other teams supporters mostly arrive by bus. We all know that the vast majority of folk would have wanted to drive to Kingsford. They would have wanted to get parked easily and cheaply. They would have wanted to get out of the car park quickly after the game. (very quickly) So 10,000 parking spaces, organised so you felt you were the only one trying to get in and the only one trying to get out. Gridlock in the Lang Stracht at 14.30 on a Saturday afternoon listening to the teams being announced on the radio is not my idea of fun. On a slightly off topic tangent, whoever designed the lanes on the Lang Stracht should be shot.
  9. The Tims facing the second of their three defeats in a row today. Shame it has to be Lennon that wins but I'll learn to live with it.
  10. Nobody actually knows what's going on but I seriously hope it's no to a shed in a field. It'll get built on the links. Move the first hole and second tee from the golf course, move the driving range completely, knock down the Broadhill bar, build a fancy new stadium.
  11. Congrats to you min. My daughter's a genius too
  12. A crammed busload, but not shortly because it's stuck in traffic and a'bodys dying for a pish. Aye, the match ticket should include the cost of transport but it won't. Nae need though now that I've decided that the new stadium is being built on the links.
  13. Falling behind here lads. Abmad's been having a fairly entertaining slagging match about this for days. Including what seemed like an all night argument on the cost of bus fares from the toon to Westhill.
  14. No way can we turn down any offer near 3 million. But we have to be firm in the first place because they'll chance their luck at 800,000
  15. I dinna mind Brechin. Not that I would want to stay there mind you but at least the bloke in the butcher's a Dons fan
  16. I agree But in some places it's floating in front of you.
  17. Well, it's been a while since I've been, I'll give you that. However I've paid at the gate at Upton Park and White Hart Lane. I've been a guest of the BBC at Television Center and their Westminster studios. I've squatted in the East End. So I've seen a fair bit of the place, I avoid it like the plague. The closest I've been for a long time was a couple of weeks ago when I had the misfortune of frequenting Luton Airport for a few hours. I wouldn't go as far as blaming the city of London for anything as obnoxious as Luton Airport but it did give me a wee reminder of the superior attitude of the South East resident which I can well do without.
  18. I'm not defending Aberdeen but I can guarantee that Eastern European customer service is just as pleasant and efficient in Aberdeen as it is in London. Arts and entertainment? are you only comparing it to other shiteholes in the UK Shopping is for girls. Most expensive transport system in the world? Everybody likes a different city for a different reason so fair enough. Full of pretentious arseholes at one end and thick minker arseholes at the other as far as I'm concerned. Worst of all they seem to equate being ridiculously expensive with quality, a sad error.
  19. Aye, never seen it as dark as that at half two in the afternoon.
  20. Ah.......but London....
  21. Ah, Samuel Johnson, the well known arsehole.
  22. ....... and fill the team with English players. Which is basically just what we've got now but more successful (marginally) Of course we would have to insist we kept the pink strip.
  23. London's a shitehole.
  24. Why don't we just disband the Scotland team altogether and go crawling to the English asking them to change their name to GB. Then we've qualified and kept the majority of Scots happy in one simple move.
  25. Thought he’d gotten the dunt. They wouldn’t have said “mutual consent “ otherwise.
