  1. The odd Jute (and they are odd) Motherwell or real St.Mirren fan wouldn't go amiss. You would be pushing it with the Tims though and Huns are a no go area for me. Has that Scotland board spontaneously combusted yet?
  2. Didn't they make you kneel on pencils because of your spelling at primary school min? Good to see you back here min.
  3. Nah min The smell would put us off.
  4. I've had my (very quick) visit to the St. Nicholas center this year. I might have to go back next year or the year after, I'll try and remember to turn off my phone.
  5. No It's nae possible to move beyond natural selection. We can pretend we have, providing we live in a rich environment but we haven't really.
  6. I'm a great believer in the mannie Darwin and his theories. Obviously there some anomalies like why do Huns exist, or indeed why do Huns think they still exist. Then the major ones like why do women like shopping? I mean, if the continuation of the species was what it's all about then they would like fitba wouldn't they? ( please bear in mind I used to be manager of Aberdeen Ladies and married the full back) This thread isn't really about the obvious but as I sit here knee deep in pistachio nut shells , the question that does occur to me is Why can't I eat nuts that I have to shell in a dignified manner? I grew up hating nuts, turns out that it's only peanuts I cannae stand. I'm perfectly capable of nibbling politely at a bowl of cashews but give me something I have to shell then it turns into a frenzy. Do I have to eat them to survive?
  7. I really liked Jerry Lewis until I was about 7
  8. Can we not just bring back punching folk in the face. Anyone who takes a picture of themselves is just crying out for a smack on the nose. There should be a reward for anyone doing this.
  9. Nae again for fuck sake. Are they nae oot yet? What weekend have we got to go withoot fitba for this pish this time?
  10. Moult still to come in before the end of the month. Rooney and Stockley to go. Rooney has done us a great service, doesn't deserve any slagging. He'll definitely score against us if he stays in Scotland.
  11. It's worth a look At least they're not fighting among themselves. 0-0 draw against Hearts is the last straw it would seem, Pedro out and he can take fuckin Miller with him.
  12. Facebook I mean, what a ridiculous fuckin name to start with.
  13. When I were a lad....... When you got new jeans you practically had to stay inside. A figure of mirth for everyone to point and laugh at. But Once you had worn them in, volunteerd a few times to play in goal so you got them extra spattered in mud. Faded them and torn them with your own efforts. Then you had YOUR jeans, a thing to be proud of. The rot started with pre faded jeans
  14. I liked Ernie McGarr There was a goalie who could punch a ba' Never met his daughter though.
  15. Just because it's commonplace doesn't make it okay. As I said, it's a losing battle, life's going to be so much easier for the next nutcase dictator. Cash is the answer, they don't like cash, trying ( successfully ) to phase it out. " Oh, it's so old fashioned " The fact that people voluntarily sign up for loyalty cards at fuckin supermarkets amazes me.
  16. This'll upset a few. Baseball caps Has there ever been anything so stupidly designed to go on your head? Cheap and nasty bastards of things. While we're at it. I saw a yank family the other day including Dad and a couple of sulky looking teenage boys about 14 and 16 All three wearing fuckin baseball caps. Now, when I was a sulky 14 year old, if anyone had told me I had to wear the same clothes as my father I would have spontaneously combusted.
  17. I had no choice. Her 17 year old sister was washing her hair.
  18. It's probably been done before but I can't find it so here goes. I'm in a restaurant. People that photograph their food.
  19. The " I've nothing to hide" argument doesn't do anything for me. It's dangerous, very dangerous to give the authorities that much information. Why I did it yesterday I don't know, perhaps I'm just getting old and the fight is going out of me. Perhaps I was just taken by surprise. I know I would be moaning like fuck if the Dons tried it. No sense and certainly no consistency, you can use it against me in a future argument.
  20. That's all very well but I'm not posting a thread about Hungarian politics. The reason my travelogue is relevant is because it's a new stadium almost exactly the capacity that we are looking to build. It's a wonderful stadium, if they built this in Kingsford then the complaints from Dons fans would disappear. The acoustics are wonderful. A worry would be that a new fancy stadium with a capacity crowd is fine but what about a Motherwell match on a cold Tuesday in February. I've only been to this stadium twice. First to a world cup qualifier against Northern fuckin Ireland and then last night. So, a sell out and a pretty sparse crowd. I was well impressed with the atmosphere last night. Even little things like the P.A. working. A roof that obviously keeps the sound inside the stadium is a big help. At the moment of course we can't sell beer at the actual game. I'm not so sure we can be trusted, but it's well beyond time we gave it a go.
  21. Before my time I'm afraid. Of course I've heard the name mentioned often enough but Bobby Clark was the first keeper I remember.
  22. I'm nae happy with that. As I said its probably an age thing, thousands of films when I was little where the Germans said " show me your papers" I ken it's a losing battle but I don't like the fact that you are always traceable.
  23. The new stadium is extremely fan friendly. The only thing that I would object to is the palm print system of entry. I don't like biometrics, it's probably my age though I can see the youngsters accepting it without a thought. The registration system is a pain in the arse, I was a member before but as the whole system had changed I had to register again yesterday. Took all of 5 minutes. This time my photo is not on the card and as previously mentioned it is a top up card which is used to buy food and drink at the ground. I bought a ticket yesterday but didn't use it, I got in with my membership card and the palm scan. Fradi had a major problem with facsist anti jewish fans. If it's them they have got rid of then it's not that bad an outcome. The crowd was low yesterday but the atmosphere was good. If Aberdeen were to build something VERY similar to this it would be a big success. I'd give the palm print thing a miss though. If it upsets Aberdeen's facist element then so be it. They can both go elsewhere.
  24. Right on both counts Welcome ower.
  25. No chance that would be taking it too far
