  1. Most of that is correct, apart from the £32 bit. Fuck, I'm fed up of this new stadium pish.
  2. On a related note. I think I've almost always been acquainted with Hogarth's print of "Gin Lane", it was in some school book or whatever. However I never knew about the accompanying "Beer Street" or it's government propaganda implications. I may well use it in some sort of defense some day
  3. Most ridiculous booking since Gascoine got booked for yellow carding the ref.
  4. Bucky??? With all the money they just got from the Tories it could of at least been Champagne bottles.
  5. Been known to take back a bottle of Genever if travelling through Schiphol. But as it compels me to end up singing Donovan songs I try to limit my consumption. It was a good program though, I've listened to it a couple of times.
  6. I didn't realise there was a recent gin craze. All the more reason to listen to a program about the original one.
  7. Jesus fuck, just when you thought that the Celtic strip couldn't get any worse.
  8. Hemmin You might have heard this and probably know the history anyway, but there is a really interesting program about gin on radio 4 i-player Just type " gin" into the search and it should come up with a progran called " The Gin Craze" It's in the wonderful " in our time " series and well worth a listen.
  9. Hun
  10. Delighted by this signing. Now lets get through this game next week and let him play some European football.
  11. 101 km today Shortest length but could be the toughest day. Happy Bastile Day Vive la France
  12. Well that draw's an incentive if nothing else. Home or away first?
  13. Thanks for that, otherwise I might have googled it myself. Plenty bits o' stuff there when I got thrown out 39 years ago. I don't think poofs were invented then.
  14. He'd say "Hiya Donsdaft min" However he wouldn't give a toss about what my attitude is to anything he decides. I've had my little protest by refusing to watch the team with Christie in it from Xmas until last night. I'm still very much of the opinion that by allowing loans between clubs in the same division we are turning the SPL ( or whatever the fuck it's called now) into a nursery ground for the big club. Let's say you live in Dingwall and your son is a pretty handy wee player. Ross County have helped nurture him from an early age. Normally, if Celtic come calling, you would be mightily impressed but worried just what sort of chance your loon is ever going to get to play 1st team football. You MIGHT advise your son to accept his home towns offer, get some first team games in, then if he's good enough Celtic will come calling again. However If Celtic come calling and immediately say that if he signs they will farm him out to Ross County anyway, your decision is made for you. Not good for Scottish football in my opinion.
  15. 2.DD u hate Christie yer u welcomed GMS.isnt he from Celtic? Lol No No No I don't hate Christie, I hate borrowing him from Celtic. By going cap in hand to a team in our own league asking for a shottie of one of their players we are admitting our inferiority. Also ........ach I've been over all this.
  16. Can't go to Gent, I'm banned. Well, banned from a nightclub (disco in them days) called The Green Apple. Mind you, it was in 1978, maybe the bouncers will have changed.
  17. I have nothing against Everton, don't see them as glamorous though. Imagine coming from Liverpool.......shame. Let's get them in the group stages instead. Actually, let's just get through this round and take the tie we are given. Al, I can't see any sense or reason in this group whatsoever.
  18. What's glamorous about fuckin Everton? How the hell do they pick these groups out, what's wrong with everybody just going into the hat?
  19. Right, are you waiting for this? Christie was man of the match by a mile. Pity he's a Celtic player. Back to normal mode. McLean is a fuckin fanny, every fuckin touch resulted in someone else having to clear up the mess. Rooney woeful but really doesn't need to be put out wide. If he is going to be taken out of the strikers position then just take him off. Not impressed with GMS but early days. Nice to be back to the fitba though, 2-2 over there.
  20. Lucky to get away with a draw there
  21. Well they can fuck off with that
  22. Big brown boots wi yalla laces Chequered shirts and elastic braces We have come to smash your faces We are the Aberdeen Boot Boys. Ah, the King Street End back in the day.
  23. Got a reply from the head honcho "guy" in the European Parliment today. More than I got from the SNP MEP based in Dundee. Dear Donsdaft, Thank you for taking the time to write to me, and sorry for the delay in responding to you. I fully understand the worries and uncertainty you feel at the moment as a consequence of Brexit. We need, I believe, to look at what special arrangements could be put in place for individual citizens like you who want to continue their relationship with the European Union. That is why I will continue to push for citizens in the UK to be able to maintain their links with the EU post-Brexit. I cannot guarantee that I will succeed with this. It will be extremely difficult. But I can promise you that I will do everything I can for people like you who feel European, did not vote for Brexit and are concerned that no one is listening to them. I hope this reassures you that your voice is being heard and that I am doing all I can to fight for your rights. Yours sincerely, Guy Verhofstadt
