Well, I've been on the phone to my loon in Melbourne so I suppose it's a'right to start this thread. Budapest is rocking already, the sun is down and the stupid wigs and tooteroots are in full flow. Another 3 hours and Mrs. Donsdaft and I will toddle down to our favourite restaurant via a pub or two. Big Szilveszter set meal (umpteen courses) then stagger across the road to St. Stephens Basilica for the bells. Much dancing and hugging bits o' stuff then hame via the Opera where they do a bit of outside singing and squibs. Boldog Uj Evet to you all ( when it comes)

Work ethic v Talent The top top players have both but that's rare to say the least. Even those of us who only played football at amateur level will be only too aware that the bloke who scored all the goals had a tendency to miss training. Then there's the enigmatic winger type. We had a guy who for 5 minutes every game could have played at international level. The next time you looked for him to pass to he was watching the game on the next pitch ( or the equivalent) These people are incredibly frustrating but you need them. The blend of players to make up a team is the managers job.

Tyuk paprikas was fuckin gorgeous Just away to have steak and chips. Keeping out of the kitchen because Mrs. Donsdaft is the expert at chips. Will pop in at the last minute to cook the steak. I was planning on sharing a bottle of red wine with this but too many beers consumed already so will probably stick with that. Edit: I didn't, red wine followed by much more beer. Mrs Donsdaft is still in her bed having a "cold" I'm pretending to be fine but looking forward to my bed tonight.

All in all it was fine enough, back to normal tonight though, I made a double load of chilli last week so the second half is defrosting as we speak. Fine Mrs Donsdaft has just announced that there is bugger all wrong with the hen. She has taken the meat off the bone and it will be re- cooked as chicken paprikas tomorrow. Fine again
