  1. Never going to happen with South Korea, but they should be more accommodating in their pursuit of peace in the area as it cannot all be take and no give.
  2. I don't think he improves our players, in fact I would that McLean went backwards under him until he signed for Norwich. The transformation in his play since the turn of the year I wouldn't give credit to McInnes for. McKenna would probably never have got the chance if it wasn't for the Motherwell League Cup defeat and if he had a shit game in his debut he would probably be in the released list this week. Shinnie would be a great player regardless who was manager, he was great for Caley and has been great for us. Christie has been poor ever since we have seen the real McLean, so again I don't think he has improved as a player under DM. There is ability in him, but we cannot afford to buy the player who we saw for the latter part of the season. As much as I have serious doubts about McInnes as our manager going forward you cannot argue with his record with us overall. To me his skills are in man management and the players seem to like playing for him. He likes to play a system and struggles when we need to adapt tactics, but as a manager he is still fairly young and could still well change his ways and he was pretty much spot on with his tactics in the post split games so be interesting how we set up next season, but with his record I think it is only a matter of time before he jumps ship as there are far poorer managers in bigger jobs than DM.
  3. I think we saw more fight from GMS in the later part of the season, especially after the split, but he is good to watch in an attacking sense. Stewart hasn't got the pace to track back, but still a decent player to have if used correctly, but it is a big if.
  4. My biggest worry would be losing Shinnie. In the time he has been with us he has been a very consistent player who drives us on whether at LB or midfield. What a loss he would be.
  5. Shocked Rogers has signed a new deal. I would have been raging at getting treated the way he was when Woodbine was brought in, but it least it solves the problem of a back up goalie. I would love to know how much it cost us for Arnason over the time he has been here. Whatever it is it was a waste of money, something we cannot keep on doing. I hope we are not trying to keep O'Connor based on the past few games. I think he came out and stated he wanted to leave and would be better for us and him if we parted ways.
  6. I didn't enjoy the season I have to admit. Too many performances where we were dreadful and pretty awful to watch, but we managed to finish second and McInnes deserves to give most of us a GIRFUY for that as I never thought for a minute we would, but it was still very sweet to do it. We have a big summer coming up on the transfer front and I really hope we can bring in some good players who will improve us, which I don't think any of last summer players did. I would be surprised if no clubs come in for McInnes. We can gripe all we want about his failings, but he has done a decent job with us and has been pretty consistent results wise, which a lot of English clubs will be well aware of.
  7. Aye, fair play, you called that one right. I thought we could snatch a draw, but gladly take the win.
  8. A repeat of this tomorrow will do nicely
  9. Ipswich are a club with serious financial issues. They also, in Marcus Evans, have a chairman who their fans hate with a passion, so don't think it would be a good career move for Jack Ross.
  10. SevCove beaten by Cowdenbeath in the play off final. A club with a bigger walloper in charge than our own baldy builder and that takes some doing.
  11. McLean has been superb for the second half of the season, but was quite poor in the opening months IMO. McKenna has been a revelation and whilst still raw he does have something about him which is promising, but he would benefit from having a good partner alongside him, hopefully Devlin is that man. I think Shinnie has been our best player over the season, even when he was having a bad period, by his standards, he never hid and drives the team forward, sometimes doing the work of two people in the middle of the park.
  12. I prefer managers who do this. Every so often you want your manager to come out with bold statements or actions to get the media and opposition managers into a frenzy, like Lennon does. Fergie was the master of this and it was this attitude that won us so many trophies as he wouldn't settle for second best and luckily for him he had players in the same mould as him to back it up.
  13. Celtic may well let us have a chance as they could block Rangers getting into Europe and that would be great. We've done it before with lesser teams, but we should have sown up second place last night in our own patch.
  14. We started off poorly and let them come at us and I think most were thinking the worst, but we clawed ourselves back into it and played some decent stuff with McLean usually in the thick of it and was no surprise when he got taken out by the hun cunt in the first half he didn't have the same impact on the rest of the game, which was a shame as he looked well up for it. He was raging when they scored, based on the second half of the season we are going to miss him (Sorry Donsdaft). In the second half they wanted it more and we seemed to let them, we possibly needed a tactical change earlier, but the options were limited, possibly a player like Wright might have made a difference, but he is so far out of the picture he was on the bench to make up numbers and nothing more, but an injection of pace may have helped us. I was surprised he took off Ball for Stewart as I thought Ball had a good game up until that point, words I never thought I'd ever say, with Christie offering very little throughout and surprised me by lasting the whole game. I thought Rangers were brutal and Collum was his usual incompetent self throughout. I would have bit your hand off for a draw before the game, but felt we should have taken more from the game, but failed to do much in the second half Cosgrove getting some stick for not being a goalscorer, but it would possibly help if he got into the box, he certainly needs someone alongside him if we are going to use him correctly, but thought he was excellent in the first half. If GMS was carrying an injury then he put in a great shift for us last night, he may not be a Johnny Hayes, but certainly seen an improvement in his overall game the past few weeks.
  15. Not really a surprise with O'Connor. Not the worst player we have ever had, but we should be looking for better, easier said than done though. I can only imagine him joining Ash in some place like Northampton, but best of luck to him anyway. Hopefully he can sign off at Pittodrie tonight with a win and give us shit supporters something to smile about. I doubt we will be keeping any of our out of contract players this year, no real misses though.
  16. How can you nae find a decent rowie anymore, is possibly due to the fact there are no bakers anymore to work in whatever bakeries are left. I served my time as a baker and lasted 10 years, only so much shite shifts and shite pay a person can take and most of the guys I used to work ith have also left the industry. I have a pack of rolls in front of me from Smiths of Huntly and you can tell right away the fat was mixed in to the dough using a machine. They should have their food license taken away from them for that. The Byron is a decent baker, worth a go, but not sure if they sell their stuff in any other shops, I shall find out as I think we need to support the bakers we hve left before all we are left with is fucking Greggs and Ross of Inverurie who are both equally shite and sell rowies which taste more like lumps of dough,.
  17. Aye who would have thought this time last season Scott McKenna would have become the best thing to have happened to us this season. If we don't give these lads games we will never know.
  18. I was in Dee Street this morning and noticed that the Gordon Bakery has closed down. Nae idea how fine their rowies were, but they did make good softies and cakes. Never mind trying to find a fine rowie, we may have difficulty getting any soon the way things are going.
  19. He was a Palace fan when growing up, but switched teams when he moved to Brighton and is on record, saying we should all switch our teams when you switch the city you live in. That sort of shyte makes him a fud in my eyes and not to be trusted in matters of football. I wonder how many Brighton fans at the game on Friday night actually followed them through their very difficult years? Fair play to them that did though and I am sure they will still be around when the bubble bursts and back in the lower leagues.
  20. I'm not looking forward to this as think DM will buckle under the media circus which will surround the build up and have us playing shite with the potential of both the tactical and player tombola playing a huge role in the outcome. We really need our manager to come out in respect of our poorly greatest ever manager and shove a huge middle finger up to the travelling hordes of the great unwashed and play to our strengths.
  21. Not good news to hear, but a fighter if ever there was one and sure he will be giving it his all.
  22. I actually though Reynolds did OK yesterday. Yes he gave away the pen, which was thankfully saved by Joe, but he hasn't played a lot this season and coming in yesterday at LB against a decent player, he did alright in the circumstances. We really need to get the LB position sorted out for next season and we have seen when Shinnie has played back in the position, we look far more balanced at the back.
  23. I didn't see the penalty as I sit in the Merkie, but I just thought he is such a bitter hun when he brought it up. Most keepers do it, it is nothing new. I'd forgot about the McGinn challenge on GMS, it looked a bad one, but was actually surprised he even got booked as the ref was honking. Agree with you about Shinnie, thought he did the work of two men on the pitch today. A real captains performance.
  24. He can also speak about the huns without the need to gush about them. Glad to hear I am not the only one who thinks he does well when on the Radio. Good that we have signed the lad and have to admit that I know nothing about him, but as God said on the radio, what about our own youth players getting a chance? Signing young players is all very well and good, but will it hamper the development of our own young players, as we really need to start to bring through our own and give them proper chances in the first team, something I don't rate DM too highly on.
  25. Well, not quite the win I predicted. A lot of huffing and puffing, plenty of effort but not great on quality. Didn't like this tactic of lump it up high to Cosgrove, we should be better than that, or at least should be. I'll go against Donsdaft here and say we missed McLean, especially as a creative outlet and will miss him next season. With him out today we lost that little bit of quality in the middle which could have created something and suspect that had a lot to do with us hitting it high up to Cosgrove. Not really happening for Niall at the moment, great workrate, but most of what he is trying from an attacking sense just isn't happening, unlucky with his free kick in the first half though. GMS is also starting to work harder on the defensive side of his game, which is good to see. A good penalty save from big Joe. Chick Dung was on the radio saying how much he was off his line before the ball was kicked, so a huge GIRFUY to that poor excuse of a pundit. It was a good battle between two decent teams, but wasn't too much quality on display, fair play to Hibs though they kept going for it right until the end and didn't just dig in and settle out for the draw. I thought the ref was really poor today, made some very strange decisions. Bring on the Huns.
