  1. Just going away to set off to see us get the three points to all but wrap up that 2nd place. I'm sensing a good win for us today and a big GIRFUY to Lennon. COYR
  2. I don't think anyone on here could honestly say they saw enough of SHankland to comment if he was good enough or not for Aberdeen. He has taken a step down the leagues and done well, maybe he realised upon leaving Aberdeen that he needed to work harder if he wanted to make a success of his career at a higher level, which if he has, good on him.
  3. You do sound like the clubs PR machine. I don't think the poster you responded too did anything bar ask some legitimate questions about the costing of the stadium and compared it to events at a club close to where he stays. Pittodrie is a wreck because of decades of gross mismanagement by the same chairman who we are expected to trust to build this white elephant, sorry new stadium. Trust the weasel faced cunt and his acolytes at your peril, the man is a born shyster.
  4. So they have sacked the manager who managed to steady the ship for them in trying circumstances. Sevco - The gift that keeps on giving.
  5. If it is half as good as the Hibs Killie game yesterday, we should be in for a cracker.
  6. The Sevco massive aren't going to be too happy at that one today. I hope to fuck McInnes doesn't lie down to the hun when we play them. We have nothing to fear if we play our usual attacking game.
  7. Some game going on at Easter Road. Both teams going for it, currently 4-3 and reckon there could be more. On another note, Brechin have went the whole season without a win. I was hoping they would do it today, but currently getting pumped by QOTS.
  8. I enjoyed that tonight. We started off very nervously and appeared to be set up in a strange formation and it showed in the players and i feared the worst, but when that first goal went in we were a different team and battered the fuckers off the park. Their goalie kept the score respectable for them, I actually thought Hearts were utter shit. We needed that opener to settle the nerves and you'd think O'Connor had something to prove during his celebration There was some good passing moves tonight and the McLean pass for the second I actually thought he hit it to slow for GMS to get on to, but shows you what I know. A superb assist from McLean and a great finish from GMS. Never thought I'd write this, but Dom Ball had a very good game tonight and was hard to believe this was the same player we saw at Hamlden two weeks ago having the mother of all howlers and if I'm being honest I didn't expect him to ever play for us again. Fair play to the loon. I was surprised to see Cosgrove in the line up, but the boy did well and kept the ball well and took no shite from the Hearts defence. PLayed right he may offer us a different option which is encouraging. McGinn is clearly not fit, he put in a shift tonight and worked hard, but you could see he wasn't his usual self buzzing around the pitch looking for openings. Most things he tried in an attacking sense just didn't come off for him. He also looks a little overweight. The ref was a dick, the first player in the book was McKenna for being in a tussle with a Hearts player, but a few Hearts players should have been in the book long before that, then he just made bad calls for thr rest of the evening and was forced to book Berra at long last which must have hurt him. A really good three points and a GIRFUY Lafferty, Naismith and Berra (What was the scoop with him and the crowd tonight towards the end of the game over at the South Stand?)
  9. I don't anyone could argue about the Stewarts lack of pace, but he does have a good footballing brain, which is better than any amount of pace, IMO. I think with a decent manager we could have a very good player on our hands, but I just don't see him as a McInnes type player. I would be happy if he signed up.
  10. Hibs are a decent team and in Lennon have a manager who has less respect for the OF than McInnes. On their day they can give anyone a game, but equally so can we.
  11. I hate Hearts and hate playing them also, possibly because we get so little against them and I suspect it will be another tight game on Friday. We have enough about us to beat them but the tombola will have a big influence on the outcome. Fancy a 1-0 win, with Shinnie scoring. Crowd wise I expect a half decent crowd as Friday night fitba has been fairly popular so far.
  12. JUst saw the highlights, Good goal from Kenny, but their goalie should be ashamed at that one. We are seeing the best of Kenny McLean now, whether that's because Norwich are watching him regular i don't know but seeing more of the player I remember from St Mirren rather than the player we have seen for most of his time here.
  13. Never doubted us with that line up. A good win and back up to second place, it's a pity Celtic or Rangers couldn't be more like Killie for us. No doubt the diets will roll over for the real huns tomorrow, but glad we got that win in light of hibs getting a result today.
  14. No, doing the folding thing would give you croissants and which is actually is not to dissimilar to a roll. We used to 'chap' the fat mixture into the the dough using metal scrapers, trying to work the fat equally into the dough. If you do it right, the inside, once baked, should look like it is in layers, you will alway get a few which haven't got too much fat in them and are more like the inside of a slice of loaf. Usually if you buy multi packs of rolls from a supermarket they are made in places who mix the fat and dough in a mixer and you can tell straight away as they have a rubbery feel and texture to them. Roughly 5 parts dough to 4 of fat. Your dough has to be a soft loose dough, not over mixed like if you were making softies or bread. You want some sugar in it to work the yeast, but most of the sugar and salt goes into the fat and once mixed together you have your rolls ready to prove and bake. You will probably need a few attempts to get it right, but if I am being honest you are better buying them as they are messy as fuck to make. The secret to a great roll is in the mixing of the fat into the dough. Despite all the noise made about them being unhealthy, which undoubtedly they are, they are slightly better for you than a croissant, we worked this out when I did day release at college many moons ago.
  15. When I read your post Elgindon I thought you were on the wind up, then I went and looked. Got to be one of the worst line ups I have seen in recent years. Still reckon we will sneak it, but Killie have never had a better chance against us with that line up. We really need the three points today after Hibs getting the points and putting us into fourth. COYR
  16. Celtics title party spoiled at Easter Road. Just a pity we cannot do to them what Hibs, Heart and Killie have done this season and I am sure Hollywood teeth will be pimping himself for the Arsenal job being the deluded cunt that he is GIRFUY you minky bead rattling cunts.
  17. Worked as a baker for 12 years and it was always veggie shortening we used, never lard and that was back in the 80s. The trick to a rowie is how the fat is mixed with the dough, doesn't matter the ingredients used if you don't mix the two key components correctly it can spoil the while thing and no two rolls should taste the same, due to the fat content not being evenly mixed. You could use lard, but you couldn't use all lard as it would be too greasy, just like you don't use butter or marg in them either.
  18. Most rowies are veggie, even Vegan. You don't make rowies with butter or marg, a total myth. The thing about rolls is that no two batches are the same due to the production method, a good rowie should never be mixed in a machine, the fat should be mixed in my hand, hence why aitkens usually sold two types and some are more salty than the others.
  19. Barton in as manager is just a publicity stunt and nothing more. Is Barry Nic still at Fleetwood as coach?
  20. I suspect Clark would really love to get three points against us as his record has been superb for Killie, but has had little joy against us and I suspect we will obtain a result against them, then some player will be on to the press afterwards saying it was for the fans after last weeks game and important that they do well in the remaining games...Zzzzzzz. 2-1 us - A young striker will be given his chance with us losing 1-0, blast in 2 superb strikes and find himself dropped for the remaining games and out at loan to Elgin next season whilst we play another also-ran from an English no mark team. I'm still in a grump from the Cup Semi.
  21. Take Celtic out of the equation and we have a very competitive league, how we stop them is anyones guess, but the authorities will do nowt about it as long as the have their 4 OF fixtures per season. Something will have to change at some point or the interest in our league will really fall away to nothing.
  22. I think there is a place for loans, but not at the expense of our own player development and I'm not an advocate of loans between clubs in the same league. I also think we should drop the players who won't be here next season and see how we get on, I'd rather be shyte trying things than be shyte with the same old, but we know it won't happen.
  23. That logo would bring a tear to a glass eye, a proper bakers shop. Of course they are probably still suffering from the death of my ma 4 years ago, who did her best to feed us in our own body weight in aitkens goodies over the years and even more so when we left home. She stayed next door to the bakery and when we visited you would be fed all your favourites until you could eat no more for a week. Even David Bowies loon posted something about their demise. Apparently he stayed at Cornhill Court, or one of ths skyscrapers up cornhill way, with his nannies folks, who were from Aberdeen, when he was a young lad and knows all about Aitkens and loves a rowie. Whether that is with or without dairylee he wouldn't comment on.
  24. I don't think I have ever seen a player as nervous on the pitch as Dom Ball looked yesterday and I didn't expect him to last the full first 45 minutes, let alone come back out for the 2nd half.
  25. Aye, you're probably not far off the mark.
