Willie and Gordhun Smith have been impressed by McKenna and thought him and Arnason played well. McKenna has not been pushed around which they have mentioned a few times. Hopefully the lad keeps his place and shows McInnes youth is the way.

4 minutes of injury time...
-
SOunds as though we are playing to ensure we don't lose. Young McKenna has had a good 45 minutes, why he has taken so long to get a chance, considering we aren't exactly blessed with good defenders is beyond me. Happy we are not getting beat, but we should be trying to win this game, hopefully we will open up more in the 2nd half...

I was listening to Willie on the Radio as well on Thursday and you could sense how how annoyed he was with our defensive performance. FUck, how I wish we had a Miller or McLeish in that defense at the moment, the others just would be allowed to play as badly as they did on Thursday. Was supposed to be heading down, but other shit has come up so will be listening to the radio and hoping that McInnes just gets us back to basics and keeps it simple. I suspect a very different Aberdeen team to turn up tomorrow and put Thursday night behind us. 2-1 Shinnie and May COYR

Last night was a sore one, but not unexpected. Those of us who have been to games this season know we haven't been as good as we potentially could or even should be. We just seem to lack balance in our squad and trying to fit square pegs into round holes at times on the pitch, we also have went backwards at the back and that is a worry, as it has been our weakness for a while now. I have said it before, but we don't half miss Hayes, even when he was shyte his head hardly dropped and would run all night, a phenomenal work rate which hasn't been replaced, I bet Logan and COnsi cried the day they knew Hayes and McGinn were going. Hopefully we can rectify last night on Sunday, but DM needs to pick a back line and stick with it for a few games, for me it should be Arnason and O'Connor, but you just know the tombola will be out again.

STrange line up and shows that the tombola shows no signs of being dropped. I still fancy us to win well tonight....

We don't half miss the pace of Hayes at both ends of the park. Taking him and McGinn from the team is hurting us big time and not just from attacking point of view, they provided so much cover to our full backs which just isn't there anymore and needs to be sorted quick. Centre of the park is a mess also, McLean is better further forward than deep and it showed once again today, need Tansey or Ball in beside SHinnie to beef up the midfield and give Christie a free role in the middle as our second attacker to support May. On the wing I would keep Wright and give GMS a run of games, he looked pretty good when he came on today and I hope I never see Stewart on the wing again, the guy has ability, but neither the workrate or pace for the wing, he needs to play in the centre, probably just off the Striker, the role I see CHristie playing. We should have won that today and after getting an early goal and believing we were going to go on and score a few, we let Killie back in to it with some horrendous play and lucky Killie didn't score before they actually did. The best bit of defending on show today was a first half tackle in our box by Stevie May, to stop KIllie equalising. On a positive note May is a far better all round player than I thought he was and will be a real asset once fully up to speed. I was also impressed with Shinnie driving he team forward for the winner at the end. Fucking difficult losing points to a team managed by the horrible hun cunt McCulloch, but tactically he was better than deek today, which I found worrying. He needs to get this team playing for each other and instill work rate into them, something which seems lacking. I'm still sure we will click soon though....
-
Fuck, that'll cheer up Donsdaft.
-
Aye DOnsdaft, we have been shite, but it could all click into place tomorrow.... Anyway, looking forward to getting down to Pittodrie tomorrow and seeing us back in action. In Merkie 3-1 - McLean, Rooney and a Tansey free kick. Feck knows what sort of defense we will have out tomorrow, the one part of our side which worries me.
-
I don't get annoyed by much, but folk at work who bang on about running and keep fit in general bugs the shyte out of me. I suppose I'd better say Xmas works parties/MAD Friday also, as this season is getting close and being a miserable cunt who doesn't partake, it usually means a painful few months ahead.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-41216679 I think we have heard more from Blair this past year than the previous 9 since he quit as PM and all of it shyte. I am sure the cunt is planning a political comeback of some sort.

My biggest gripe was Tansey being dropped. I thought he looked the best of our summer signings so far. JUst a weird day. I knew Hearts would be a different prospect under Levein, that is a fucker who has been behind teams giving us some doings over the years with his horrible brand of football and although not pretty it is fairly effective. It also is more suited to rugby than football. PLus points can only be a clean sheet and a point which we have to thank Joe Lewis who gave a masterclass in goalkeeping. Deek showed once again he is no tactical genius and his selection policy does baffle me, but we are still unbeaten, but will have to play a lot better in the coming weeks, which I am sure we will. for a 3-5-2 line up, I would have had... Lewis Consi - O'Connor - Ball Logan Shinnie Christie - Tansey - Mclean Stewart May 7000 away fans was a fair old gathering of dandies and deserved a better performance.
-
FEck, that means we'll have some injuries once we play the fuckers next week as his teams are always physical to the extreme.
-
Fair play to the guy, he has done very well for himself since leaving us. He may not have been good enough for us, but he was far better than some of the guys who were brought in to replace him have been. The thing about him was you always expected something to happen when he was on the park.
-
I'm glad we have got a defensive option in, as we needed it, but again surprised that once again we are taking in a fairly inexperienced player whilst our own youth set up seems to be ignored. Maybe the standard of our youth team isn't good enough, which leads to more questions, but for the amount of money we invest in youth we get very little return from it, something which worries me greatly. I hope the loon works out though, nae his fault we dinna play much of our own young players and hoping he can offer us something at the back which we have been lacking.
-
I really hope we can pull off a deal to keep Christie. I wasn't too excited with his signing, but the boy has a bit of class about him and would prefer to have him available against the victims.
-
Watching us this season makes you appreciate the job Hayes did do for us with his work rate, especially tracking back.
-
I actually thought he looked pretty good for us when he came on Saturday, the best spell of play in a red jersey from him so far. Time will tell how he gets on. I'm more concerned about MacKay-Stevens, we actually paid money for him and cannot see him cutting it with us, although happily be proved wrong, but he just looks a glaiket cunt to me and the best quote I have read summing him up so far is he looks every inch a Dundee Utd player.
-
Boy that was hard earned 3 points. I wrote about our defence being poor after the Hamilton opener and even more concerned today, we are worse at the back than last season and having Arnason on the bench doesn't give me much confidence either. I would be giving that young lad Harvie a chance to stake a claim if we are not going to sign anyone further as we have disasters aplenty awaiting us with out current options. ANyway back to the game and we start with the same line up from last week. MacKay-Stevens is no Johnny Hayes that's for sure, not claiming he is not going to be a good signing, but doesn't have the work rate of Hayes, which when he goes out on the left he leaves Considine exposed. I would say that Wright should have been in the team ahead of him. Christie is a good player, but nothing much was happening for him today and he ain't a winger, I was surprised to see Tansey hooked and him staying on the park. I thought Stewart did well when he came on and there is certainly talent within him. I also noticed he got a good reception from the Dundee fans when he came on. Stevie May though is a class signing and his second goal today was class, it looked good from our seats in the Merkie and was even better after seeing it on Alba tonight. Dundee certainly gave us a game in the second half and should have taken the lead when Allen managed to put the ball wide when it looked easier to score and our defence was trying their hardest to give them chances, but we managed to dig ourselves out of a hole despite not playing very well. Glad we got the points though, but we cannot afford to be so slack against better teams as we will be punished. Plenty for McInnes to mull over in the coming days as he cannot expect to pick the same team every week like he likes to do with our current squad. As for the rain at half time. I have seen horrendous weather at Pittodrie over the years, but that rain today was as bad as I have ever seen

In Merkie Hame Depends on result 2-1 Maynard and May 14267

A shame, wouldn't wish that on the guy. He is looking pretty healthy though, seems to have lost a bit of weight. I'm sure he'll fight it all the way.

I'm no fan of Lennon, but is what he did really a police matter? I'm sure the great unwashed would have been given him pelters throughout the game, they get a little back and then complain to the police. Just stupid in my opinion. -

SOme right head cases on that forum. One even has a photo of th Celtic guy who got a kicking in SUnderland the other week as his avatar. Nice folk. -
I watched the Storey penalty claim and whilst I believe it should have been a pen, I'm nae convinced the ref had a great view of it.
