  1. Call yourself a supporter?
  2. Time on BBC running it close so far. Brilliant stuff.
  3. Interesting. Doesn't seem to be particularly prolific. Looks like Devlin signing until January too, which is thoroughly undeserved but I suppose it saves looking for another centre half to challenge Gallagher.
  4. Bound to be agent rumoury pish. Can we even sign guys like this post Brexit? Do they not have to have played in X% internationals?
  5. I'd like to apologise for making this statement. Curtis fucking Main? Seriously Jim? What shite have you been snorting?
  6. Yep, O'Donnell has done very well and raises his game to a good standard when playing for Scotland. He's had a few assists over the years and quite often overshadows Robertson on the opposite side who hasn't actually had a particular strong Scotland career despite being a very good footballer. Patterson got into the Hun team when Tavernier was injured and played well, but I think it would be the wrong decision to put him in ahead of O'Donnell and I think he is defensively suspect.
  7. Yep, they've got fairly good fullbacks with tavernier and barisic, so it's not a failure to be second to them. However, from memory, he wasn't exactly a stand out for the u21s, and it's clearly appeasement that sees him in the squad.
  8. I'm guessing we're waiting for our new recruitment guy to come in.
  9. Don't worry, Billy Gilmour's big team will tell him he can't play anymore and Considine will get his shirt back.
  10. There is only one player in quarantine.
  11. Aye, good performance. Few too many errors in the midfield but some good performances nevertheless. Terrible decision by the ref, really bad. Although the freekick against McKenna a few minutes earlier given by the linesman was even worse. Got to be blocking the whole goal with the wall against players like that.
  12. Aye, decent game. Hectic stuff for the first 30 minutes. Lovely goal and unlucky not to add a second too. Tierney some player like. England will need all their right backs against him and Robertson.
  13. Think McKenna will need a move if he's going to get a game. With both Hanley and cooper playing at a higher level than him, he needs to get into the premier League before he'll be first pick again. I think he's good enough to get there, next year will be a big one for him.
  14. It would be incredibly surprising actually.
  15. Aye, the Czechs have been exemplary in their handling of covid infections in the national side.
  16. It's tactics. Just getting the vid out the way early. Other teams will be floundering around during the tournament with players missing and squads wrecked.
  17. Wright was shaping up to be just that and the fact that McInnes couldn't see it (or wanted to be absolutely certain) and didn't hand him a three year deal pre season was a huge part of his demise in my opinion.
  18. McGinn gets another year. Makes sense to me. The notion that our recruitment is going to be good enough to get 5 or 6 players better than McGinn is silly. A very good squad player to have.
  19. Phenomenal series. Best thing in TV this year that I can think of.
  20. To be honest, I don't really know, I'm basing my argument on the fact that every decision made by uefa in the last thirty years is designed to widen the gap and maintain the status quo throughout Europe! As I mentioned, the article seems to have made little attempt to work out who benefits. It was fairly inconclusive and not particularly well argued. Your example doesn't really address much, we could just as easily give an example that helps AFC. The point of the away goal however would have potentially stopped the dons from playing for a boring 0-0 draw away from home rather than trying to sneak a goal knowing the reward. I'm not saying you're wrong, obviously, just that the article and subsequent examples don't really get to the heart of the issue.
  21. It doesn't really address the issues raised in this thread though, nor does it actually offer any useful statistics to help. It focuses on the lack of difference between big club X travelling to big club Y rather than someone playing in Lithuania or Azerbaijan where the differences might still be significant.
  22. Drink helped me forget that game. Or at least made lots of it difficult to see.
  23. Aye, pathetic. Although, fuck skonta Riga.
  24. Wasn't Celtic minded enough I assume.
  25. Big Rangers fan too.
