That's not how I remember it. I thought it was several exchanges with different people using his work email. Could be wrong. For me, it's a bit like the Brown situation, you show contrition, address it head on and apologise. Mackay never really did much other than address the fact that he was caught. I like the idea of forgiveness, and much as I'd absolutely forgive Brown, I'd do the same for Mackay if I was a county fan. However that option isn't really there if the club just try and hide and wait for it to go away which is the approach County and AFC took. It's all a bit pathetic really, I doubt it'll ever be worth the hassle for County.
-
That doesn't really work if the boy is pish at fitba though. I think your reasoning is why we've got Brown coming in, and I'd be seriously concerned that move backfires if - as expected - Brown continues his downward trend. Maybe the guy is a decent footballer though. He'll likely have seen both him and Hernandez in action to pass judgement. We'll see how good that judgement is.
-
Thing is, with the volume of departures, we'll absolutely need squad fillers and even if we don't need them, the nature of recruitment means we'll definitely end up with them. There's zero chance that we're making 10 successful signings this summer. Given the level of player remaining in contract (Kennedy, McLennan, McGeouch) we have to be getting 4-5 good signings in. The margins are very fine.
-
Christian Ramirez being linked in the Twatter realms. Don't know anything about him.
-
Yep, it's a kick in the teeth for him like. He's playing regularly enough that a call up is warranted, especially with some of the Huns in there who've barely made an appearance and the ICT players playing at a lower level.
-
Absolutely, the worry is that - like happened with McInnes - Glass is involved in the recruitment process, or gets a guy in that he knows rather than the club. It's completely unfair on Glass really, the club should have been ready for him when he joined. Cormack was keen to talk about succession planning on numerous occasions, but this shows a real lack of planning. The change to the director of football and head of recruitment could have happened months ago.
-
I've been saying it for years now and I'm surprised that Cormack has taken so long to act. It's something that should be controlled by the club and not the manager, so something we could have dealt with whilst McInnes was here. We were continually making errors in the transfer market with a fairly low percentage of successful conversions, and those parameters should have been set the minute Cormack came in. It would have actually helped McInnes. At the very least when the decision was made to only go for loanees in January they should have acted then.

Recruiting a new head of recruitment. Seems like something that could have been done several months before our most important window in years.
-
Well remembered. Under Brown it was. A few trialists in a victory I believe, which is hard to believe against a quality side such as brechin. Wonder what happened to them?
-
Yep, that's 100% failure rate right there. Is that all the south Americans we've had?
-
Not much movement on the signing front, would be nice to get a couple in and Ferguson out early if he's going in this window. Not been massively whelmed by the suggestions so far, they show that we're clearly hunting in the same woods as McInnes, which is to be expected. Guys like Irvine fae Hibs wouldn't really be of the standard required to take us forward. A shrewd January signing by Hibs because he's reliable and you know what you're getting, but I don't really think we should be in the market for another squad midfielder, especially if Ferguson goes. Glass mentioning a South American link which should be fine. Our very successful foray into that market so far with a world class right back just waiting to show everyone what he can do bodes well.

Not to mention dons' legend O'Donnell.
-
Gone! Only the one plastic pitch remains.
-
Yep, looks like it....
-
Mickey's Mellon leaving the Arabs. If only there was an out of work manager recently succesful in the North East of Scotland.
-
DoF at Falkirk, with Robson as manager? What are the odds?
-
Kelty diets join the leagues with brechin completing a spectacular series of relegations. A player sent off during the game for homophobic abuse. That seems like something that would have happened quite a lot.
-
Good move it seems as they avoid relegation on the final day.
-
Some effort from St Johnstone today, kudos to Davidson. They were excellent, and happily kept Hibs out all day. Should have been more comfortable than it was in the end.
-
Exactly. What sort of shite journalist doesn't ask these basic fucking questions? What sort of shite agent advises his client to rely on gentlemen's over written agreement? He's basically advertising that he's crap at his job. Edit: basically what baggy89 says, didn't spot it earlier
-
Aye, hopefully this is the start of something a bit more productive in the transfer market. In terms of brexit, it just means that u18s can't be transferred and a maximum of three u21s. Also the usual transfer obstruction applicable to further afield foreigners. Not sure how any of it applies to Ferguson, but certainly it should help future transfers go for more.
-
I would. Captained the u21s, regularly featured ahead of Paterson at right back too and played at least a season's worth of SPFL games more. In fact, a couple of years ago when McRorie was coming through at the scum there was already a clamour for him to be included in the Scotland squad. I don't think either player deserves a call up.
-
Correct, but his old man knows the score. He's a Hun, of course, but not a Hun Hun. He was delighted when his loon was motm and scored the winning goal at Hampden to take the dons to the cup final ahead of the scum, as was Lewis himself and McInnes despite the fact that they're rabid Huns it seems. The comparison with Jack is a good one. A very good player, and exceptionally mature, at a young age. Didn't seem to have the belief in his own ability to progress out-with Scotland despite being clearly good enough, wanting to be the big fish in the smaller pond as is his right (and he's still a very good player). I think Ferguson is a little bit more like McKenna in that regard and his old man* will certainly instill that in him too. I think he has the potential to be an absolutely fantastic player, there's so much visible space for improvement there. *Having heard his uncle speak a few times over the last few years, I've actually been impressed with his attitude and grounding (very self deprecating, which was a surprise) and I get the impression he'd advise his nephew to be the best he can be too, and that doesn't require a move to the Hun at this stage in his career.
-
Not on my watch he doesn't. He's been consistently good again this season, solid and reliable and one of the few players showing any drive. But we're more than covered in his position and he only got drafted in when injuries occurred anyway, so it's no disgrace that he's not there (unlike Palmer). Once I kneecap several of the other defenders in the squad, the dons dream team defence will be reinstated for the England game with Andy scoring the 90th minute header.
