Aye, weirdos. Have to admit, when you said that people would die with the increase in heating costs, I didn't expect it to happen so soon.

3-0 to us?

Well, aye. The word fantastic doesn't have any fixed boundaries. I'd put gillhaus in the phenomenal category. I only ever categorise Dons players too, so comparisons to Zidane or whoever is not relevant. I'd put Wright in the same category as Fraser if that helps (although Wright leaves him for dead in the Judas category). I'd have described Jack as fantastic too, once.
-
I would have. I've always thought he was a fantastic player who could have got a proper move. Unfortunately McInnes decided otherwise and we lost him to the scum. He adds something - on his day - that other players don't, and I'm really surprised he's not been in a Scotland squad. Obviously, he's an utter rat fuck.
-
As wasw said further up though, good is comparative, so yes it is relevant if he's better than Stewart. We finished second with Taylor (on 76 points) and he was regularly good enough to get us into Europe and part of some good wins once there. He had enough good attributes to allow us to work round his limitations. Seabass mentioned Cammy Smith in another thread, he was what I would describe as a good footballer. Good touch, good passer and technically good at fitba. The opposite of Taylor, in that his physical attributes meant he'd never make it at a good enough level. Taylor's physical attributes more than made up for his technical deficiencies. That occurs to a greater or lesser degree across the game at all levels. Grant Hanley made it in "the greatest league in the world"™. It's possible for Taylor to both be shite and good (I believe I said a good signing) at the same time.
-
All very fair. He was still decent for us all things considered. I wouldn't (and didn't) want him back just to clarify, but he was far from our worst defender this century and far from the worst defender in the league when he played for us. If I could be arsed with Stewart screenshots, we'd be in a similar position is basically what I'm saying. Taylor was always that defender you throw in the mix while the proper players work in behind and alongside, I'm struggling to see which of those roles Stewart plays, mainly due to his extreme lack of pace.
-
I hated Taylor when he joined, but once he learned his limitations and strengths he was good for us. If we'd had no prior experience of Taylor when he signed again, the fans would have loved him. He rarely made the type of error that he did in his first spell, was strong and won everything in the air. Despite his forgiveable red card at the weekend, he's had a great start to the season with killie and is at least on par with Stewart. A more objective observer than me would likely say better.

Richardson is better than Jack Gurr. He's lacking in confidence and the manager needs to take him back to basics. If he keeps doing one or two things over and over, he'll get there. Positionally, he's improved since day one. There are plenty of fullbacks in this league that have just been able to run fast in a straight line and kick it sideways at the end and done well. He's got the pace to make that work. Jury still out on Stewart. Slower than Considine and lax at passing. Appears to be good at one on ones and positionally decent. Has been bailed out on numerous occasions already by Scales coming across to cover in behind, however I get the impression he's often aware of Scales being there, so possibly not an issue. I think he'll do fine, but he's no better than Taylor or Considine (pre injury). Which isn't a bad thing of course, both were good.

Just after they spot him in the starting lineup.
-
I'm assuming "they'll" suspend Clarkson for this one.
-
I think everyone remembers where they were that day.

County finished above us last season, it's not like we're the Tims or Huns celebrating their 89th goal like it's a massive deal. But I do agree, there is no need to be on the pitch. Although maybe they just wanted to touch Duk's pex. As long as it doesn't escalate into regular full scale pitch invasions then it's fine. I suspect grounds like County are going to see it a lot, whenever this a decent sized away support in town.

I agree. I'll just be doing the don't pay UK thing in October if it reaches 1 million*. Just a straight refusal. It's logical, like the poll tax refusal. Will you be joining in? If not, can I ask why not? Do you think there are any other ways in which we can help those who can't afford their bills with a government that is refusing to listen? *My assumption is that if it has reached the target, it has because the government has done nothing. I personally believe they will act in a week or so, so that Truss can claim hero status.

I think Duk can play alongside both Miovski and Ramirez rather than instead of. I think we need two up front against teams that try and play us on the counter and sit deep. Miovski has looked a little stranded on his own against eleven.
-
Either way, the window has been and gone, so we're still paying him until at least January. I don't think Miovski needs 90 minutes every week and I'd like to see Ramirez getting 20 minutes most weeks. He's good enough. The sitter he missed earlier in the season isn't any worse than some of the one's Miovski has missed. He's proved he's prolific.

We used to get this under McInnes too. Substandard signings playing ahead of youth because you've signed them and either need to keep them happy or need to prove to your own ego that it was a good signing. McLennan won a penalty in his first game for Saints yesterday, showing that you can be both pish and occasionally useful. I don't think Morris has even that value yet. He's at the level of Samuels and Parker (Josh) or Monakana. Like those, I'm struggling to see any avenue open to improve him as a player. He's probably as fast and strong as he's likely to get. Either way, he's not going to benefit from game time, he needs focused training and investment on the training ground before we should be seeing him again. Duncan is entirely different, in that he needs game time to get him used to playing against powerful adults, and develop his physique, applying his already obvious abilities at a different level. You can see clearly how he can improve over time and leave us with a very good first team player.

Of course it makes a difference, just not the two people, or parties you state. Or, sorry, the differences are minimal. I'd be interested to hear the very different energy policies. I mean actual policy, not what both of them said they would do.

The global energy market. There is zero reason for it to exist in the way it does other than ideology. The UK isn't buying global gas (or certainly very little of it). Nuclear and renewables are serving the majority of our electricity needs, but are selling at the market price. What is the purpose of any political party if there's a huge elephant in the room that nobody is allowed to question? One that it entirely made up. I'm not familiar with the California situation but the answer elsewhere in the world is not going to be electric cars (I have one). It's not going to be cars full stop. The notion that we can live in a planet where everyone has their own individual metal box to shuttle them back and forth simply - and only - due to bad city design is ludicrous. They're right to ban the sale of new petrol/diesel cars by 2035 for very obvious reasons, but I have little faith in any government anywhere providing a solution. There's no excuse for any Western country not solving the problem in that timeframe. We seem to be in an age of complete paralysis when the biggest disasters (peak fossil fuel and climate change) are staring us in the coupon. We're failing on every single metric that the planet could ever set for us and being told to play a childish game of blue versus red while it happens. I struggle to see why anyone is discussing Biden Vs Trump or Tory Vs Labour, or even independence Vs Westminster as if it's in any way relevant.

That's really good seabass. Well done sir.
-
He's absolutely brilliant. I love him. He'd make a great vice president in 2024.

I'm likely to sign up to this. Anyone else on here going to? I've had a long think, and I believe it's incumbent on everyone in the UK to sign up to this. It's the equivalent of the Iraq war protests, morally speaking. That's about all I can compare it to. Then, it was about sending poor young lads to their deaths (not just that of course) and now it's about people freezing to death. When it comes down to it, the only justification I can give for not joining in is that I can afford to pay my bills. In other words: "I'm alright (Jack)" or "it's okay, it's not me it's affecting". I mean, I'll give my £20 per month to cancer research or whatever, facelessly "doing my bit", but really that's just something for my ego - it's completely meaningless. If I can't actually do something meaningful for people in this country when they need help, that doesn't say much about me. It's the right thing to do, isn't it? We're literally saying that people will have to die this winter because of a man made fictional global market. Guys? You realise we just made this shit up? Shouldn't we just change the game slightly to make it a little less deathly? No? Anybody have a different opinion? Is there any other reason than "I'm alright Jack" that others have for not signing up? I'm sure I haven't thought of everything.
