According to the P&J, were in for Jamal Amofa fae Den Haag. We are crying out for another right sided defender after all.
-
Aye. I'm guessing people in high places won't feel the need to deal with Kelly in the same way. Although trying to hang him would likely determine once and for all whether he could really fly like he believes he can.

Extra ten years? Sexist, racist, both?
-
Uses the same tanning salon as Willo Flood apparently.

Once again the dons are caught procrastinating in the transfer window, with Adam Montgomery moving to St Johnstone on loan. Why are we letting young prospects slip through our grasp?
-
I've sent my folks along with their pensioner friends to kick down the doors.
-
Or not. Seems it's behind closed doors.
-
My folks are heading to the huge game on Friday against Considine's boys at la finca. Be a lot of bad feeling and a hostile crowd I expect. Expect big Andy to go straight through Scales in the first minute.

I have a feeling he'll leave at the end of his contract. It'd be interesting to see if we've let the contracts for youngsters slide a little with the turnover in management. I'd have thought likes of Hancock would be the next to be offered deals after Barron given he did well at Stirling Albion. You'd think we'd sort that out before any loan deal is agreed.
-
Hancock might be off to Fleetwood according to P&J. Assuming it'd be a loan. Unusual, but he's English so might have family close by. Brown taking a gamble with all the foreign Scottish based players in his side. Not sure it'll be the best environment for him (as opposed to a settled Arbroath side just down the road).

I really dislike the idea of signing another left sided centre half as backup to a loanee from the Tims. Centre halves usually play a fairly large chunk of games in a season and it just seems like wasted resource to buy a backup. I doubt we'd be having the discussion if Scales wasn't already missing games, we'd be content with McRorie dropping back, Bates coming in, Stewart or McKenzie moving across or whatever for the odd suspension or injury. If we do get someone in, you'd think that they'd be assuming they're starting ahead of Scales too. Maybe Scales as a backup is fine.

Jesus, McKenzie has had nae luck with injuries. Although unless he's actually going to get regular game time, I'd rather we went ahead with the loan deal. Surely between Ngwenya and Hayes, we have cover in the short term? Unless McKenzie is out for a good while, in which case we should be looking at a loan move if we're not playing Hancock. It would be crap if we're taking away a good development opportunity for Hancock to sit on our bench as cover. Similarly, if Ngwenya is deemed not good enough to start there then we'd be best to move him on. Hancock looks to be at the right point to get good game time somewhere, that needs to be prioritised in my opinion.

Good to see there's a recall option in January. I didn't think he had a long time left on his contract with us. Would be nice to get a few of the younger ones on contracts (not least Barron, who I fear will be the next Wright).
-
He has a foreign name. Clearance required.
-
Aye, thought it was strange he was playing right back against Buckie as I thought he was a left centre half, so even stranger to see him as a winger. He did get forward well against Buckie and looks a good prospect.

Yes, where's this season's one? The standards are slipping. It'd be more useful in April too, we'll have forgotten about it by next season. But really I was looking for something Aberdeen specific like you've provided here!
-
If only we had someone in the BBC that could write up an interesting article about this for their website. I expect most fans - me included - have nae idea the cost of a season ticket at other clubs. It'd be nice to see some pressure on them from the media! Do the club even class the various seats in our stadium as restricted view? Ideally I'd have a season ticket with a side on view, but the options in the south and main give you an absolutely pap view of the game, where you can't see corners and throw ins in the far corners of the same side of the pitch. I like the view from the upper deck and never really found the view restrictive. It's an interesting point you make about the new stadium, although I'm not sure it holds true. I think the biggest factor would be build cost. I think that there will always be a ceiling on season ticket prices. I think the European fixtures were indicative of a change in pricing regardless of a new stadium. Cormack will always see those as opportunities to cash in. That's because they're a rare commodity. If we got lots of Euro fixtures via the loser league in successive seasons then we'd likely see high prices become unsustainable. As we were in Europe for many seasons (unlike saints or Hibs) there was no need to offer a low price for a one off event. Obviously that lack of goodwill backfired slightly as we had an atrocious season and failed to get into Europe. That said, an 18k seater stadium would sit better with me.

But he's Scottish, like Ngwenya, who's now removed, with Hayes to left back, Watkins right and Vinny left: AFC international --------------------------Lewis------------------------- Richardson---Stewart---Scales----Hayes ----------------Polvara-----Ramadani----------- -----Besuijen------Miovski-------Watkins--- ------------------------Ramirez---------------------- Not a bad side. Short on subs like.
-
Fucking hell, Vinny and Dante, how could I forget? In fairness, I was excited at the prospect of the Gallagher deal being back on.
-
Could we field a foreign eleven? Lewis Richardson Stewart Scales Ngwenya (sort of) Hayes Thon Albanian laddy Foreigner required Watkins Macedonia Unhappy yank Have I missed one?
-
Kelle Roos sounds like it should be all one word. For that reason, I don't think we should have signed him. Get Cerny back out of retirement, or just do without a backup.
-
Amazing victory. Smashed them off the park with some scintillating stuff. A good run about, very typical pre season affair. Switch the entire side at half time. Give the young lads their first and last taste of fitba for the season. Give the new away strip an airing. Great finish by Kennedy for the winner. Barron the stand out.
-
Amazing second half so far. Ramirez from the spot after ngwenya wins the penalty. Camera work spectacularly bad. The commentator forgetting to share his screen for the first five minutes of the half an absolute highlight. Barron head and shoulders above everyone else.
-
Thought I'd give Buckie my money. Nae picture, commentary only. Did hear their opening goal though.
-
I'll give you Declan Gallagher for them? Edit: and £10
