Itās heart and head, donāt disagree with you on either, both my choices have impressed at other clubs, hope more than anything. Honestly donāt mind if we sell Ferguson and play both Ojo and McG, plus surely Bryson will give us something if given the chance. Saw McG as a panic buy and we have a log jam in center mid, especially if Wright is a #10, plus in Hayes we didnāt necessarily need a winger, another log jam there. Curious to see how this plays out and have to feel we will see players go since we are making a significant loss at present.

With the whole covid situation and the finances the way they are, I expect very few signings (of quality that is) in the league. With our size and ādepthā (talking numbers and not necessarily ability) of squad, I didnāt expect any signings. Weāve got a fair few wingers and Considine, even Logan or Hedges at left back (plus the 3-5-2 option), think Hayes is a very good pick up. 32 is older but still got a lot to offer us. Lewis Hernandez-Devlin-McKenna-Considine Ferguson-McGeough Kennedy-McGinn-Hayes Cosgrove Doesnāt include Logan, Taylor, Ojo, Hedges, Bryson, Main, Wright, and a back up keeper (did Cerny sign?), that quite a solid 19. Under normal circumstances Iād expect one or two to go, thatās a lot for us not including youngsters, but who has the money to buy from us........but then again if thereās interest Iād expect us to release players from contracts to get them off the books, with the exception being Cosgrove, Ferguson, and McKenna obviously.

I don't see it that way, losing Leigh leaves a hole on the left side and Hayes comes in. Possibly Hayes or even Hedges at left back this season?? As mentioned, I'd assume there are many clubs, including hopefully the huns, that are in a much worse situation than us.

McKimnie was outstanding, felt bad the way his career ended with us. Robertson too, gutted when he left to go to Rangers and I didnāt think he got the recognition since he went to the huns. Weāve had some truly outstanding players at the club, never saw Varga, Harper, or Buchan play for us, but always interested to hear people talk of quality pros who played for us. So hereās my next question, name the last true quality player we had who could be considered here? Eoin Jess?

Bored out my mind today, canāt wait for our football to return. Considering and starting with the current squad (keep that in mind with the players we have), if you could add any ex Dons in their prime, which 3 would you add? And for a 4th, not trying to knock Lewis, add an ex Don for your captain. Iād take Frank McDougall, Charlie Nicholas, and Jim Bett. Captain is Willie Miller but thatās probably is predictable.
-
Iāll over think this as I usually do with things. In past times and more old fashioned football with a 4-4-2 Iād have gone with 2 clear strikers, probably Black and Gilhaus, think theyād have complimented each other very well. In todayās football Iād go with Nicholas as a #10, think heād excel in that role in todayās game, with Frank McDougall or Black at 9.

Who is he up against???

I donāt see how signing Hayes means our goal is not to win the league. I donāt agree with that statement, I donāt see the connection. Whether that is the goal or not, Hayes is still a good SPL player.
-
I agree and disagree with you. He's such a fit guy I could see him playing until he's 36,37 or something like that. While he's probably not the explosive winger he once was, he still looked sharp enough when I saw him and would be one of the best lefty back or wingers in the league. Saying that, I like Greg Leigh too so I'd take both, and both add to our squad. I don't see McGinn as a winher any more, more the #10, so why not add Hayes for a couple of years or more depending on how it goes.

Not a huge fan of the thicker white bands on the home strip but for the first time in a long time I may buy both! (Although partly factoring in the club needs money!!)

Well, understandably, pretty dead here these days. So what are everyoneās thoughts on 4th? Prize money what was set out at the start of the year? Based on form and the season, Iād say 4th may well be better than weād have ended up! Plus, now that the league is over, is the cup done too? And to end, which free agents are we now going to be linked with?? Whatās everyoneās take on the upcoming windows given so many teams are financially fucked?

Fucking nightmare. Two working parents and 3 and 1 year old boys, I work before they get up and once they go to bed, the rest of the day is being dad while stressing about the work I should be doing. Long fucking day and Iām exhausted!

Iāve asked the same question many times. I want to know how many flu deaths we are having. Pretty certain itās more than corona...

The problem is, speaking in terms of the US, there is no glaring alternative. The democrats came up with two old grandpas, and that party is so snowflake right now that I donāt want them in power. While Trump is a total nut job, Iād take him over the snowflake party right now. They are more lunatic than him. Many republicans donāt like a Trump but do you dump him for a candidate who may lose to the Democrats?

Not sure how reliable the source but pretty brutal reading for UK.... USA - just over 388k confirmed cases, 12,370 dead UK - just over 55k confirmed cases, 6159 dead Italy - 135k, 17127 dead Spain - 150k, 13897 dead

Sorry Rocket, living in the US I canāt watch CNN, an incredibly biased news station. Sad, it used to be my main network until about 5 years ago, but all they do is cry about Trump all day. Don Lemon is a total prick, canāt stand him. And yes, I totally agree, itās my understanding that 5G is dangerous, the wife has been talking about it for weeks!

Iām fascinated by this whole situation. Endless conspiracy theories too. Pretty sure I had corona in January, as did my son and a number of friends. My school had a 30% absence rate in January due to a very strong āflu.ā I had it for 3 weeks, fever, heavy chesty cough, blood shot eyes etc. Took my 3 year old to the doctor 3 times before they told him it was pneumonia. I went shortly after saying I had exactly what my son had, the hospital was too busy to send me for a chest X-ray, but she listened to my lungs, said I was fine, and it was a bad flu. Gave me 3 different prescriptions and it went away in around a week. Anyway, if it came from China in November/December, makes sense that it arrives in Los Angeles shortly after that. Only now, or recently, are they calling it covid19. What gets me is that what are the numbers of those with flu and dying of flu. Regardless of them having treatment and vaccines for flu, what are those numbers? This whole situation doesnāt sit right with me. Not sure what to think or believe.

Iām not saying that the US is faring better. In my post I mentioned media claiming weāll hit our worst at the end of april and it Sounds like you might be at your worst in 2-3 weeks. Iām just going by what family are saying in the uk, and what Iām reading, suggests you havenāt hit your worst either, and two days of good news doesnāt mean youāre past your worst. Certainly hope you are but donāt see it.
-
Media in California today saying that āexpertsā predict we will peak at the end of April, so we are a month out! Iād assume Britain is similar or worse.
-
Our numbers are still increasing in the US and we certainly havenāt hit our worst yet, and we are ahead of Britain in regards to taking steps to prevent the spreading. Iād expect Britainās worst in 2-3 weeks so to say social distancing is already having positive results to me is totally wrong. All that will do, obviously, is encourage more people to socialize again. Weāre not ready for that yet.

Bored out my mind these days and saw some highlights of Vernon with the dons. I donāt really remember him but he scored some decent goals for us. Was he any good? I remember being happy when we signed Rooney, but donāt remember much about Vernon and whether, in the end, he left, we punted him, or what? Anyone??
-
Hearts were first to acknowledge troubles ahead, now Cormack talking about our situation. Will we be thanking corona one day for killing the huns? Of all teams juggling finances, how do they survive this??
-
Got ours in LA yesterday too, have been working from home for a week now. Bored shitless.
-
Iām assuming the euros will be cancelled/moved to 2021 and leagues will just be delayed. Could be a good experiment for Scottish football, see how fans take to summer football.

My school has closed starting Monday, spring break in two weeks, I expect to be off at least a month. Other schools doing the same. Youths sporting events, leagues etc shutting down. I expect a full lock down coming. 1000 known cases in a country of 330 million, form your own opinions....
