Ehhh. We were shite yesterday, absolutely horsed, and the same shit defensive tactics for much of the game I saw. 2-1 flatters us so much, are you asking us to give McInnes credit for yesterday?? Credit to big Sam for 20 goals by Xmas, of course that’s great. But a crazy needless overly physical tackle pretty much at the corner flag killed any chance of us getting an equalizer. He’s still a fucking idiot much of the time, am I not allowed to express my opinion on that? And what exactly are you wanting to give McInnes credit for? We are god awful to watch and have been for 2-3 years.
-
I just don’t see it as that. He’s not a tough tackling midfielder for example, he gives away so many needless and stupid fouls. I’m not tracking stats on that but if you watch our games it’s plain to see. And stat wise , 16 yellow and 2 red in the last season and a half I think, which excludes the previous season when he barely played but did get sent off on his debut. He’s just not a smart player in my opinion. Regardless, this is getting blown way out of proportion, my whole point is that we needed him on the field yesterday and he made a stupid decision, a needless tackle, and it hurt us.
-
I’m slating him for making a stupid and needless tackle in an area of the field there absolutely no need to even tackle. At 2-1 down we need 11 on the field and it was stupid. Card or not, not Sam’s smartest decision. I’d get it if it was a last ditch tackle and he was trying to prevent a goal but geez. You say Sam shows dig and fight, I think he’s an absolute clown the way he throws himself about. I see needless tackles, needless fouls, and unnecessary over physical play. It’s embarrassing half the time, and if he was an opponents player he’d get endless abuse from us. He’s an idiot and that, in my eyes, is not dig and fight, but we all have opinions.
-
Then give me something positive! Enlighten me! Would love to talk about positive stuff! I keep saying it, Cosgrove is a red waiting to happen most games, you don’t see that? Maybe he shouldn’t have been sent off but the way he plays it’s no surprise and he doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt. If you see something different in his play, explain. I’ve seen the red and many say it was a deserved red. Subjective, but why are you so insistent he made a bad decision? It’s the type of tackle in 2019 that really shouldn’t happen.
-
Clueless. It’s a stupid stupid tackle, pointless, and Cosgrove in every game is a red card waiting to happen. He has a reputation based on previous matches which doesn’t help his cause today.
-
Not irrelevant at all. Haven’t seen his sending off today but the way he plays he’s a red card waiting to happen. You can’t deny that, so whether justified or not, he’ll have games he’s unlucky to be sent off and others he’s lucky to stay on the field.
-
Let’s be honest and, if possible, impartial. Cosgrove should have been sent off against the huns and is a red card waiting to happen most games. Not surprised he saw red today. Only saw 30 mins today, basically the play between our goal and their second. All Celtic. Same shit tactics and same shit result. While 2-1 isn’t a bad result against Celtic I’m so sick of the shit tactics and shit manager. Booo.
-
Although all I see is the usual defensive shit that doesn't work.
-
Answered my question!
-
just switched on after our goal and it's backs to the wall all Celtic. The usual sit back and defend. Has this been the first half?
-
Don't see why they wouldn't sell him to us. He's not good enough for them so why not have this 'weaker' player go to us. Helps their finances and that's what matters to them.
-
More than twice! Watt shat it 1990/91 at ibrox and cost us the league.
-
Memory could certainly be wrong but wasn't Snelders a shadow of his former self after the head injury?
-
Game was on in the background so I could be totally wrong here. Looks like we started the game with two holding mids at home to bottom side Hamilton. Totally unnecessary. Why??? Change it adding an attack minded Gallagher at half time and score almost immediately. With 20 minutes to go we go back to the two holding mids bringing on Campbell. Game management at home to Hamilton. Again. Why? I should be happy we won but it’s this type of thing that makes me dislike McInnes with a passion. This is the shit that shouldn’t happen and squeaking a 1-0 win against the bottom side isn’t inspiring, borderline acceptable. I continue to lose interest at an alarming rate under McInnes. And we won FFS.
-
I think playing the same 11 as the hun game, against a much weaker opponent, then the triple substitution during the game all reek of a desperate manager. Don’t see how this gets better.
-
Yet again we miss a #10. No creativity in the middle of the park. Long ball is killing me. And us. Any success or quality we got from DM was when we passed and he’s for the most gone away from that.
-
There’s really nothing more to be said. Fumbling through week after week, the rot continues. Manager has lost it.
-
1/2 a game against the huns doesn’t suddenly make us a good team. And DM saying it should shut a few people up tells me a lot about him. Line up today says so much too, same as worked for 1/2 a game with 6 defenders (yes I know we don’t line up as a back 6.) Manager is clueless and we are suffering.
-
Apparently Robbie Keane was there watching Sam Cosgrove yesterday. As I commented during the game, thought he was awful first half, fouling everything that moved and lucky to stay on the park. Very surprised he lasted 90 mins and showed little or nothing. Good way to prevent him being sold!
-
Our tactics against the Glasgow teams in recent years have been awful, and with minimum return. Last year the exception against the hun obviously. But I don’t see how you can have a go at the fans after that first half, and two terrible goals. Delighted we got something from the game, but patches over the obvious cracks yet again in my opinion. I don’t see myself as a negative cunt, just realistic having watch us in decline over the last 2-3 years.
-
And that's me, I'm out. Shite error from Vyner then Lewis FFS. Men against boys and another glorious failure from the clown DM. Embarrassing to watch, we've barely had a touch and rarely out of our own half. We won't finish with 11 either. Utter joke, GTF.
-
Gallagher gets beat 30 yards out. How can a player wander in our box unmarked, get picked out from a simple cross, and have all the time in the world to score. It's most likely Leigh's man at that point. A defender not used to playing in midfield and not used to tracking midfield runners.....and that's really being nice to him, it's basic marking. We should be able to recover from the Gallagher error.
-
In all fairness it's a runner from midfield that scores, Leigh and Vyner to blame, neither tracked him or even marked.
-
Awful. 6 'defenders' and we cannot mark 8 yards from goal. Basic simple cross, easy finish. Absolutely shite to watch. No passing. Long ball, Gallagher and Wilson running around like headless chickens. DM magic strikes again.
-
5 mins in, Cosgrove fouling everything in sight. I'd have booked him already, and could even have seen red within 2 mins. FFS. 16 mins in, Logan booked for a clown tackle. Another foul by Cosgrove, no clue why he hasn't been booked yet. Wonder if Craig Levein is coaching us tonight???
