  1. Think Taylor would be on less than Devlin. Former accies captain is young and was very highly rated pre injury. Taylor just left a lower level league two team ffs. I see Taylor in the same light as Considine in that we’ll get good performances from him, some goals, but at any time I expect a major fuck up that will cost us a goal and a game. Really disappointed if this is the best we can do, with Main too. Serious questions asked about our scouting or lack of yet again.
  2. Really curious to see if he’s with us next season. Today was the perfect example of him. Not particularly good, goal scored after some woeful touches, and a honking missed penalty. Yet he scored 21 this season. We sold Rooney because the manager wanted more from a center forward despite his scoring record, but I just don’t see Sam as that upgrade. Our team play has been god awful in many ways this season too and big Sam is a major factor in that, the lumping of long aimless high balls to a limited target man forward. Don’t see any difference in our play if he’s replaced by Curtis Main too. Stewart not returning is a good thing, feel the same way about Sam.
  3. Well, Ryan Jack with the assist, thank you! It’s on haha!
  4. 1-0 Hibs. They are quite entertaining to watch, our usual shite in attack, lumping the ball up field and hope. We don’t really deserve 3rd, we’ve been pretty brutal far too often.
  5. Nooooooooooooooo. Come on Scotland, make him an offer that’s too good to refuse! I know, that won’t happen though.
  6. Agree with all of this. Plus he wasn't a squad player for us. Yes we had injuries but he played a fair number of games for us, not the odd 10 minutes here and there. Guys who play extended minutes need to be better than him if we have any ambition.
  7. I second the punting of Cosgrove if someone gives us half decent money for us. Don't see much difference between him and Stockley and would like to think we could find another player as good or better without breaking the bank. I think you're being nice saying he had 4 good months, was it that much??
  8. I’ll say 1-1 but not overly optimistic. Think a draw or a loss and we’ll match what Killie does. It will be a missed opportunity for 3rd me thinks as I don’t see Killie beating Rangers.
  9. If we’d given Wilson the minutes and patience we gave Cosgrove I think he’d be the 20 goal player this season and he’d have scored at least one over the weekend. Many have differing opinions on Wilson but if we were to lock in third I’d offer him a contract and with a good preseason in him have him as our main forward. Unlikely it will happen but there’s a player in there.
  10. Worst we should finish is third. Anything other than that is totally unacceptable in my eyes. Disappointed we didn’t give rangers a better challenge for second but I do accept injuries have hurt us. What’s disappointing is how our style of play has changed over the last two years. For the most part we are not enjoyable to watch any more. If we don’t make Europe my initial thought was that it really hurts us in the transfer market but given how mediocre we’ve been in the transfer market in recent years does it honestly make a difference?? Sadly, like many, pretty happy for the season to end but boy, the future of our team is concerning.
  11. I think you can add Peter Kjaer in there, the others I'm glad to forget!
  12. Or is this a big contract with (potentially) a release clause to get as much money as possible this summer? I certainly hope not.
  13. Didn't watch, expected us to be pish. Saw fans favorite Andy C was sent off. Was he shite as usual? (not excusing any of the rest for being shite of course...)
  14. Sorry, disagree. The love affair with Considine is clouding judgement. 32 and getting slower and gets a 2 year deal with a 3rd year option? Geez. At fault regularly for goals, what will a 33-35 year old Andy look like, running in quick sand? I have to believe there is someone better out there for similar money with an upside/potential,and if he's a so called squad player get someone younger to do the back up job. This is a lazy signing. What next, Bruce Anderson and Scott Wright being 'new signings.' We're in this mess, the biggest rebuild yet, because DM has failed in the market to adequately replace the better players when they left.
  15. Considine is 32 and getting slower by the day. At fault for a fair number of goals at left back and central defense and spends most games these days sticking touch tight and fouling the opponents center forward because any space given Andy can’t keep up. I don’t get the fans love affair, die hard don and love the club but he’s not good enough. Thanks for all you’ve done but more of a liability than asset these days. Promote and invest in youth. McKenna was very average at Ayr United and look what happened to him, let’s try the next young loon.
  16. Noooooooooooo! I’m hoping he’s not renewed. Die hard don but if we have any ambition he’s off in the summer too.
  17. I never rated Darren Fletcher. Multiple major trophies and 80 caps!
  18. I’d agree there, Cosgrove could have been red carded a minute after his first yellow, then his blatant dive a couple of minutes after that. While he’s scored a bunch, he’s not our future and we should get any money for him we can.
  19. Ha, I was thinking that too, you two boys were pretty good and honest.
  20. Pretty dire stuff, will be lucky if Devlin and Cosgrove finish the game. Killie down to 10, only a matter of time before we lose one at this rate. Would sub Cosgrove ASAP.
  21. I think it was good planning, trying to get Wright regular games. DM made the assumption he'd have GMS and Mcginn, plus Stewart, McLennan, and even May to play wide. He couldn't offer Wright the minutes he needs. Turns out GMS is lost, Mcginn past it, plus Stewart and May gash wide. Mclennan is learning not to fall over the ball. Ho hum.
  22. Not a John Hughes fan but may I suggest he'd possibly have the effect on the squad that McLeish had first time around?? Love the energy and passion but, as mentioned above, I do think we have a strong young group coming up and I'd prefer Steve Clarke for that.....although I doubt he'd take it. Will be intriguing to watch both Scotland and Aberdeen moving forward, both very similar in that both are sinking ships at present.
  23. I see it two ways. Your points are valid and while he has scored 20 goals, facts are facts. Plus he's been pants for a fair part of the season, what if he were on form all season??? However, I don't like the impact he has on our team. When we play Cosgrove (or Stockley) we revert to lumping long balls and we are god awful to watch, and not very good. Cosgrove impacts our style of play and based on results the quality of performance and success of the team has gone down. Not solely Cosgrove's fault, mainly with the manager and his player signings, selections, and tactics, but this style of play isn't for me and the style of forward isn't for me. I feel we can do better. I wanted Rooney rerplaced by someone better who gave more to our team, that's not Cosgrove.
  24. I don’t think Devlin ever got match fit after coming back, think he’ll come good with a preseason in him. We keep the kids, Anderson McLennan Rossx2, Campbell, I’m meaning the older more senior players. Cosgrove can fuck off too, scores 20 to date and I still think he’s pish. I’d take any money we get offered, surely players like him can be found in the lower leagues. Playing him means we spend to much time lumping aimless high balls and the guy is just not my cup of tea. The bizarre thing is we punted Rooney because (I think) we wanted something more in a center forward..... and then we end up with Sam....
  25. 6, that's about right - keep Lewis, Devlin, McKenna, Ferguson..... wait that's 4. And McInnes shafts us by staying.
