  1. We gave Bain little or nothing to do all game, got what we deserved. Cosgrove is shite. We severely lack a central midfielder who wants to run the game. Lowe would be a fantastic permanent addition.
  2. In regards to Wilson, it doesn’t help that we’ve played total horse shit for much of the season, plus he spends so much time expected to run around like a headless chicken chasing lost causes, or competing for high balls dumped up the park. That can be frustrating to say the least. Had he joined us a few years back when Hayes McGinn and McLean were laying chances on a plate that’s one thing but considering all our forwards are shit and the service is usually god awful......just saying, maybe we need to look inwards.
  3. I’m more disappointed for devlin. Would have played today. McKenna is established as a regular for the national team now and this was an opportunity for devlin he unfortunately missed. Hopefully he gets another chance soon.
  4. From what I saw Ferguson does a lot of the heavy lifting alongside Shinnie. We’re still an attacking mid short if we are to get the best of ā€˜midfielder’ Shinnie. Tries too much when he’s the main experienced guy and he’s too limited in quality to be the main man in there. Shinnie was solid in there when he had jack and McLean, or McLean and Christie, when he had less flair and creative work to do. He’s a worker and a destructive player, not unlike flood, nothing more, if he’s staying in midfield, and the poor performances in my eyes are when more is asked of him.
  5. Another good result for hearts!!! The meltdown continues. Also credit to us for that win last week!
  6. I beg to differ, living in LA it's liberal beyond belief with safe spaces, pronouns, and feelings hurt if you dare speak the truth. And it's the same in all major cities. I don't see the UK as that far left....yet.
  7. Both parties are just as bad, and Hilary just as bad as Trump. Trump just makes no effort to hide that he's a dick but it's a case of two extremes here and middle ground and common sense is needed. That requires compromise and working together, and neither are really willing to do that. Hilary is bad but Sanders is far left and extremely liberal which helped get this country in this mess in the first place. Another shooting last night, 25 miles from me this time. Crazy...
  8. Not a lot really, Democrats control the house and republicans the senate so they block each other. It’s more of an indication where the country is 2 year into the presidency and also highlights future potential presidential candidates. The economy is the best it’s been in decades, unemployment lowest in donkeys years etc. Trump is a cunt but he’s done some stuff right so has his supporters and haters.
  9. Surprised nobody has commented yet about the 4 in the Scotland squad. Great for the club and I’m a huge fan of Shinnie but he’s not on form, GMS has gone quiet too. Would like to see the partnership of Devlin-mckenna at international level. Delighted mulgrew isn’t available.
  10. A win is a win but nail on head. We’re in a low quality league where mostly anyone can beat anyone if you have a go. There is zero point in lining up defensively against all but Celtic, and it’s even debatable against Celtic these days. We have enough ability to beat anyone if we’re allowed to go and attack. These defensive tactics are all fair and well against burnley but don’t belong in our league.
  11. I highly doubt we'd force a manager change during construction of a new stadium. McInnes has been heavily involved in the promo, would be surprised to see him canned before he gets to use it. Leaving for another club is different but I suspect he missed the boat on a 'bigger' club and mid table championship is probably his best bet.
  12. Stewart suspended for a head butt against accies.
  13. Almost, would rather have seen Anderson on earlier instead of May. May is no better than Nicky Maynard. I’d say Anderson confidently scores the chance May missed. Would rather see Campbell Wright McLellan Anderson and Frank Ross before Gleeson or Forrester. Solid performance, job done.
  14. 10 years? Not 1???
  15. I'm normally quite reasonable but to tend to be more of a miserable cunt. However, I'm 45 with a two year old and a preggy wife. Fucking hard as hell, have 2 jobs too to survive, and about to be harder but I wouldn't have it any other way. Wanker has had me up since 3AM today but worth it! Happy for the little shits to bankrupt me and ruin my life!
  16. Tactics and type of personnel have to be the same as yesterday, positive line up and have ago. While it wasn't the attacking performance we wanted I believe it was set up to be and brought a positive mindset to the players. We can't go in to the tic game with a defensive line up and formation and try to absorb pressure. Same as the cup final in Hayes last game where we lost in the last minute, be brave and I think we are due a win. The tic are nothing special and inconsistent these days, and very beatable.
  17. We’ve been really shite this season in my eyes and Scott Wright has been quite positive when he’s played recently. Why not play him? Who is playing better and deserves the start ahead of him? And as for a formation change, I’m making a minor adjustment encouraging Shinnie to push further forward rather than the boring defensive two holding mids which is totally unnecessary against the Huns. Nothing radical or mind blowing there.
  18. I’d go 4-1-4-1. We don’t need 2 holding mids against anyone in our league. It was the trend at the highest level but not necessary in Scottish football. let’s hope DM doesn’t try to outsmart himself yet again. Lewis Logan-Devlin-McKenna-Lowe Ball GMS-Wright-Shinnie-McGinn Wilson Not quite ideal for Wright but I think he will cause more problems than Ferguson.
  19. I totally agree with you. However, I'm meaning from the Burnley games to now we are not playing any better, winning more, or looking like we are making any progress at all with the 18-19 squad.
  20. I don’t think there are any great teams in the league this year, all of the top 6 can beat each other on any given day. Problem is we’re not top 6. Still think Celtic will take it but there’s zero sign that we have made any progress this season to date.
  21. Sorry, I don't think we are really free flowing much at all these days. Two good games against an awful St Mirren but when else? When we play Cosgrove, which is most games, we revert to long ball and it becomes pretty painful. When we play, and I think it's expanding, say both Glasgow and Edinburgh clubs, we'll see a very defensive absorb pressure and counter attack, although even that becomes a challenge with Cosgrove and May who struggle to hold the ball up and link with support - a criticism of the supporting players too. This has been the frustration for over a year now with me, it's not that pretty and free flowing any more......and more often than not it's pretty brutal to watch.
  22. I expect McKenna to go but I wouldn’t give him a penny and would try to force the sale of Gleeson Tansey and Forrester, plus Shinnie and GMS if they don’t sign a contract. We won’t lose all 5 in January but i’d Insist youngsters are given the chance, nothing to lose. We won’t make Europe and won’t get relegated, what do we have to lose.
  23. I’m honestly not really caring about the Huns and the state they were in. Just think at that point the time was right for him to move on.
  24. Agree with Bobby, we had glaring squad deficiencies in central defense, central mid, and center forward, the spine and most crucial parts of the team. Only Devlin has been a success, Ferguson was one for the future but plays week in week out rather than a squad player with the occasional start due to the failures of Forrester and Gleason. Would you give DM funds if we sell McKenna in January?
  25. Painfully, just watched the highlights on red tv. One of DMs failing is his loyalty to under performing players and I fear Anderson suffers as a result, much like Shankland wasn’t given a real chance. Why bring May on? It’s clear to everyone he’s a shadow of his former self but an idiotic four year contract will see DM play him to justify the deal. Would love to see us try to develop a Wilson Anderson partnership, or even Anderson with Wright just behind him. The long ball shite rarely works for us and the odd good game from Cosgrove isn’t enough. I don’t think we need two holding mids. Shinnie or Ball, preferably Shinnie who is much more mobile and, while not totally necessary, still contributes in an attacking sense. Again, stubborn DM tries to play a fashionable 4-2-3-1 when it’s not that fashionable any more, and in the second half when we punt Ball we actually have a formation that’s more suited to our players and strengths. We ruined Rooney by dumping him out wide regularly, hope we don’t do the same with Wilson. He had some nice touches again yesterday but is not a wide player.
