Well, now that the management situation has settled, hoping to see some action when the window opens. GK - solid Defense - would love to see us get a left back. No idea who... Midfield - major issues - I’m pretty sure we’re stuck with Tansey and O’Connor but we need a holding mid to partner Shinnie. We also need pace and width, wouldn’t be surprised or disappointed to see McGinn back, and he can play #10 too. Would like to see us swap McLean for O’Hollaran but pretty certain that won’t happen now. With Christie, Stewart, and Ross capable of playing attacking mid McLean can go sooner rather than later. Forward - so far May hasn’t been great but I put that on the team and the lack of service plus tactics that don’t suit him. Would like to see us offer Rooney and cash for Moult. Crazy talk but a front two of May and Moult would be tasty. Realistically, a left back and a holding mid must be acquired in January. Unrealistically, add Moult and O’Hollaran and those four would suit me nicely. With Stewart and Christie gone in the summer picking up McGinn too works for me!
-
Said before that Stewart is best in the #10 role with the freedom to wander but he struggles with the mobility and demands of the wide player in our system. Problem is that Christie is best as #10 too, and we lose both at the end of the season anyway.
-
What’s going on with Arnie? thought we’ve looked our best with him and McKenna in the middle??
-
My understanding Harvie is a left back but I could be wrong...
-
I thought that too when I wrote it!
-
I think he’d get greater respect and credibility if he said “Derek was interested but after being given 48 hours to consider our club and offer he realized what a fucking joke of a club we are, financially fucked, useless board, and unrealistic ambition. As a result of his conclusion of us was being a complete shambles he sprinted back to Pittodue.”
-
Ignore my last post, since DM is staying now I hope he does start Harvie. We desperately need Shinnie in midfield and our left side is obviously weak. What’s happened to Arnie? I assumed he was a sub at Killie because of the turf but then to miss a rangers game? Two games in a week to much for the old guy? Our defense seemed to have been fixed but it’s been the return of Considine that has seen us ship goals - def Arnie in the middle and try Harvie. 2-1 us, Rooney and Stewart.

So when do we see the headlines "Huns devastated by McInnes rejection" and "Where next for fallen shit show club?" Any other team and we'd be seeing the likes in the media......
-
Wonder if we'll get clarification. Did AFC refuse permission because the huns wouldn't pay up. DM went away to think about it since he would have to resign?? Decided not to? Did he get info that the rangers package wasn't that appealing??Apparently went away to think about it after Tuesday night and this is his decision. Who the fuck knows???
-
When is the press conference? Very intrigued with what DM will say!!!
-
Don't see what DM has done wrong. We don't know if he even met with the huns. The media has caused chaos and the majority of fans went nuts as a result. Surely declining the huns proves his loyalty? Also a huge fuck you to Rangers. Very bizarre turn of events.
-
I thought this too, handled it very well and seemed calm and composed.
-
That's what I see. McInnes to remain. A big fuck you to the huns! What a weird situation.....
-
And if we get the cunt he becomes our ginger cunt and that’s ok!
-
Don’t see Any significant changes - Lewis Logan - Arnie - McK - considine McLean - Shinnie Stewart - Christie - Wright Rooney 1-1, Rooney Sounded like GMS and May won’t make it, at worst on the bench. Don’t see intern managers in their first game starting Harvie or Ross.

Obviously Fergie’s success was unpredicted plus DM was no management stud when he came here but obviously both did well, clearly Ferguson much more so. None of the names inspire me except Lennon. He’s an arrogant and aggressive twat who doesn’t fear the old firm, plus is a winner both as player and manager. He has credibility and reputation in the transfer market. We’re a bigger club, bigger budget, better players. Bigger potential too. I think it would show ambition from our wank Milne to push the boat out for him - offer him a bigger contract and some money for January spending. Worth a try.

Good luck to you! Online dating is very common in the USA, did it for the best part of 6 years! Got divorced at 33 after a 10 year relationship and couldn’t be arsed picking up chicks in bars, didn’t have the time and had been in bars since 15. Met my current fiancée online, all going well and she’s the mother of my 18 month old son. I’m a shallow fuck so online worked for me. Plus i lived in Orlando then LA so had good choices. I hit on every what I’d consider stunner with big cans and it worked for me. I know what I like and went for it. My advice is hit on all the hot chicks that you find remotely interesting, have stuff in a profile that suggests common interests, and go on as many dates as possible. You’ll have some shit dates, did a runner a couple of times when saying I was going to the bathroom, met 50year olds who claimed they were 30, but also bedded a few gorgeous women. Given I was single in LA got some pretty amazing online dating stories and memories. I made the most of it despite the stigma and had a lot of fun doing it. It is what it is but go in open minded and make it fun. I don’t know how old you are but make this as enjoyable and exciting as possible, be brave, and take risks. Been with the fiancée for almost 4 years and it all started with a swipe and email. Enjoy yourself!

What has changed for DM in 6 weeks? Why would he change for the positive? He’s prob always been interested. Said from day one it’s a bigger club, more fans, training facilities, transfer money etc. Don’t understand why it has taken so long for the scum. Despise Rangers more by the day and this has done nothing but hurt AFC.

We’ve definitely seen the decline of our team and, as said by someone earlier this week, it’s a poor league with Celtic clearly the best by far. I really don’t know how many games we’ve played well in this year. We lost our best central defender in Anderson and haven’t replaced him with the necessary quality, we never succeeded in replacing Robson or Flood, are struggling to replace Hayes and McGinn, and up top May doesn’t look like he’ll be a Rooney upgrade (definitely a better all around player but will he score the volume Rooney scored without the quality service of a Hayes or McGinn.) Never rated Jack and he’s gone, McLean is going, and Christie and, to a lesser extent, Stewart are gone at seasons end too. Guess we add DM and Doc to the list, I think we really we need a character like Lennon since the new man really needs to assemble quite a few players of quality and fast. I know many aren’t keen on Lennon but he seems to have the abaility to attract players.

I’m not asking for me personally, so I’m not contradicting myself. I’m reflecting on the situation. I’m saying that this is dragging out badly and he’s refused to put the fans minds at ease so as a result his situation gets worse by the day. This site and facebook for example, it’s a shit show for Aberdeen. More importantly the teams’ situation gets worse by the day and performances and results show that.
-
There are already people who have said they are not interested in the Rangers job, or the Scotland job. You don’t need to be offered it to make that statement. DM is interested in the Rangers job, don’t grudge him that, but this dragging out certainly certainly hurts us. He could have put our minds at ease, didn’t, and people are turning on him by the day.
-
To me it doesn’t matter what the media say. Had DM came out and said he doesn’t want the job, he’s not interested etc it would put many minds at ease. And he can say that in a respectful way without actually having been offered the job. He could have cleared much of this up. The fact that he hasn’t done so tells us all he’s interested. He knows the club is a shit show, all the drama etc., but still doesn’t distance himself. That tells me he’s gone if offered. Horrible situation now because we have a manager whose eyes are elsewhere and the longer this goes only hurts us. Like many have said, don’t see how DM comes back from this. The Rangers performances were tactically poor but more significantly , for the most part, gutless. Lost the dressing room since the players see he wants to be elsewhere?
-
I think you make an extremely important point. He hasn’t played Stewart and May in the position and system that worked for them and gave them success. Hate to say it but our 4-2-3-1 fits Moult as the main striker, May is lost in our system.....although other than long ball I’m not really sure what we’re trying to do. Bottom line regarding the manager and Rangers is that he hasn’t said he doesn’t want the rangers job, and that he’s staying. He’s chosen his words carefully about being committed but hasn’t said he’s definitely staying. If he’d publically said that it clears it all up. The players are clearly unsettled, rumors all over the place, definitely affecting the team.

Tribute Act v Dons 29/11 & Dons v Tribute Act 03/12
LA-Don replied to Jute's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
It’s my recollection that O’Connor was not too solid at the back either, lacked pace and weak on his left side which was getting exploited. He got a lot of the blame for the league cup final and was dropped after that. Agree, squad player at best but shouldn’t be a first 11 player. -

We have to be realistic. From what I read, too many were shit today but we’re not going to drop 6 or more players. Plus I blame DM for today. We need consistency in lineup and formation with players playing their best positions. Our back 4 needs to stay Logan Arnie McKenna and considine. Andy is weak but we need Shinnie in midfield and now is not the time to blood harvie or some other youngster. This back 4 has rarely played together, give it time to develop. tansey and Shinnie need games together. Pre surgery I thought Tansey looked ok, I’d like to see him get fit and get games for form and consistency. McLean can fuck off . He’s decided he’s leaving and he’s not some stud performing so well every week that can’t be dropped. Of our three attacking mids Christie is guaranteed (after suspension). Gms and Wright need to be given games. Stewart just doesn’t look mobile or athletic enough and can’t give the performance for 90 mins a wide mid gives in this formation. We paid money for May, play him through the middle and give him time. Rooney can come off the bench. We signed May cos Rooney is limited and has proven that, give may the games in his position to develop. The lineup and formation has been juggled around all season. Consistency please. Same as last year, we found form when DM stopped fucking around.
