  1. I've said something similar a few times in the past and again yesterday, except I say we have no style of play. We'd give it to McGinn or Hayes and expect them to create. When they were off we had no alternative. Now they're gone what exactly are we trying to do when we have possession??? In regards to Shinnie, he had a great year last year as a central mid. Now it appears he's being moved around or not quite knowing his role/position. Stick him back in central midfield. Fannying around with a 3-5-1-1 or whatever it is doesn't help individuals or the team.
  2. Awful performance. No clue what we are trying to do in possession. Are we a long ball team?? Questioned our style of play at times last year and we were so reliant on the individual play of Hayes and McGinn, was excited to get GMS and Stewart but so far not so good. We don't look good in possession and look very poor defensively - Joe had a bad game, possible his first - but this clearly highlighted our weaknesses tonight.
  3. I'm going to be the cunt that says told you so! We've ridden our luck to date and our luck has run out. Not ruling out a strong second half and a win but we've been getting the breaks in front of our own goal in previous games. Not over reacting, we've simply been out worked and out played. Time for this lot to show their character. Very uninspiring sub, we need a central midfielder to get a grip of the game. Disappointed in Tansey being injured, been impressed with him to date.
  4. Hearts should have beaten us, Dundee could have beaten us with the chances they missed, and even Thistle could have taken the points. Don't remember the others games much but I'm not talking about being out played or dominated, we have given up a lot of chances and could have easily lost more goals and games. We've been fortunate not to have been punished.
  5. Due a good performance but you could argue we're due a loss. We've been very lucky to be undefeated domestically this season.
  6. Don't agree with you. DM did the same last year and we didn't settle down with a consistent line up until about the end of November. I've said this before, with European games in July we don't get a preseason to experiment, it's all Euro game prep. So, you see DM pick certain games to experiment. He won't know his best line up until he's explored all options. Frustrating as fuck to watch but that's my take on it. I think we also factor in that when we stuck with the same line up all season for the most part we ran out of gas by mid March and the league season fizzled out. Last year with all the early chopping and changing players we fresher and we finished the season much stronger.
  7. Very common here in the US. Don't like it but if it gave 1-2 mill a season towards transfers would we look at it differently?
  8. So at left back you think Messi would know and do his defensive duties?? Don't know what you're smoking. We've added multiple players and have a new squad, tinkering is necessary. We won't know our best line up for a while and as I said yesterday, we had little preseason to experiment due to Europe. The league is a marathon, not a sprint.
  9. Well, red tv picked a good game to provide their worst coverage yet. No pic in the first half then awful video and audio second half so I gave up with 20 mins left. Pretty sure they'll blame my computer, Irma, and the earthquake in Mexico. From what I heard we thank Joe Lewis for an undeserved point. HOWEVER, we're in the same situation as last year. We get minimal preseason due to European game prep so we'll see tinkering and experimenting. This happened until December last year. We're had 5 average to poor performances and we're undefeated and joint top. We've ridden our luck and shouldn't be undefeated so no real valid complaints from me for now.

    Red tv

Saw yesterday we were getting live video feed for red tv international. Where is it?? Got the Shinnie pic, no video!
  11. I prefer Ball holding in the middle of the park.....
  12. I'm sure I'm wrong but on paper the most logical line up is a clear 4-4-2, Ball and McLean in center mid, Wright and Christie wide, with May and Rooney up top. Surely not!!
  13. I promised my ex wife I'd marry her.
  14. What a horrible game. It made me angry! I didn't see the Lithuania game, but I'd rather watch the dons ten times out of 10. Shockingly bad, and Malta were so shit. The movement of the team was awful, few showing for the ball, and it was sideways and backwards for much of the game. Fuck, we were playing Malta! Misplaced passes, poor control, fumbling the ball, dribbling out of bounds, awful. Forrest, Phillips, McArthur, and Griffiths in my eyes were particularly shit, yeah Griffiths got a goal and assist but was still shit. Biased obviously but I'd rather see Shinnie, Wright, Christie, and May any day.
  15. Unless Slovakia beat England its in our hands. Glorious failure predicted, two wins at home and failure in Slovenia.
  16. McGinn failed at Celtic, May failed in England, Lewis failed in England, even DM failed at Bristol Rovers. None of that means anything, the new guys could all excel here. Bottom line is that all things considered it's been an excellent window. Now it's down to coaching and tactics!!
  17. Left footed central defender who can play left back and holding mid, all positions we have limited options. A player with experience and someone we've actually heard of. Don't care who he played for before, welcome aboard!!
  18. McLeod is a low risk high reward situation in a position that isn't essential, I'd take him for depth. However, I certainly hope we spend the Stockley and Aluko money on a central defender (left footed ideally!)
  19. I hear you but both are equally bad, just in different ways. Hearing and seeing Mayweather over the years in the media, total knob.
  20. Well, that's a bit of luck. Sell Stockley plus 112k and a few more pennies for a half decent central defender!
  21. Sounds fake. We didn't sell him to Fulham so why would they owe us and why 100k, random number??
  22. Exactly this, he controlled the fight from start to finish. McGregor only won rounds because Floyd let him due to strategy. After 5 or 6 rounds McGregor was gassed and was pretty much love tapping him with a wet kipper. You saw a strong pro versus a plucky amateur boxer. I'd have loved to see McGregor win but Floyd had it in the bag from the off.
  23. You have to wonder with Arneson. We signed him right before the Siroki away game which was July 20 so the guy has been here over a month. Is that not enough time to get fit? We needed at least one central defender to replace big Ash - don't see the decision being to sign Arneson as back up to Reynolds/O'Connor and the fact that we just saw OConnor and Considine in the middle, something is wrong in my eyes...
  24. I just don't see OConnor and Considine as an upgrade from OConnor and Reynolds. Sorry, but Andy is average at best and has benefitted from Hayes helping him out in recent years. I also think our midfield is better with Shinnie in there. I think Tansey has been good and I'd pair him with Shinnie and either Stewart or Christie ahead of them. I hope Arnie is the solution but 5 goals in 4 games conceded to most likely all bottom 6 teams is not good enough, and the top 6 teams will hurt us.
