Jute Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 The club don't give a fuck about winning? I have no idea where you draw that conclusion from. I think you just made that up. Surely its capability and not willingness that is lacking. Team I saw on Saturday (and in a fair number of games this season) showed vey little desire to win and that has been the most frustraing thing this season. Only seemed to put in a shift in when they could be arsed. Quote

bilbobaggins Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 I'm dubious about the general shiteness being a lack of effort. A few boys I played with when I was young were as good as anyone on their day. The trick they couldn't maintain was a constantly high standard. Our players can't maintain their top form.there is a reason they play for Aberdeen you know. I don't think that being philosphical about losing is a sign of apathy either. I'd call it a balanced, rational response to what isn't even our worst defeat under Jc, let alone ever. Quote
SWA Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Our players can't maintain their top form. I also think that efter last season, and the Euro run, some o the players think they're better than they actually are. We've too many players that a) aren't good enough, b) haven't been makin the effort wik in wik oot, c) are too prone to errors/injuries, d) or are quite simply past it. Langfield, Byrne, McNamara, Severin, Lovell, Mackie, Duff, Foster, all 3 of the Smiths, Mair, Soutar, Considine, Maguire and Bus all fall under one, or more, of these in ma opinion. I dinnae understand the problem wi De Visscher and Touzani, as they've usually performed well in the games they've played in, so that's why they dinnae feature in the above list. Quote
