stonefish100 Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 See both Kasper Schmiechel and the boy Zsamoltulski that was at United are looking for new clubs. Both of these would be great addisitons and would be definite number 1 for next season. Kasper will probably have a few offers, but I reckon the Polish guy could be tempted up here. Surely with the cull of players, we can afford to pay a half decent wage for a good quality keeper. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/m/man_city/7351151.stm http://www.pnefc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10362~1290437,00.html Quote
Guest bloo_toon_red Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Both good shouts, I particularly liked Szamo at Utd, but neither of them have played for Dunfermline, so I'm going to stick my neck out and say he's going to go back in for Paul Gallacher. Quote
BigAl Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Would take either here in the blink of an eye, but rather sense it is beyond us. Quote
brownie Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Aye both good shouts but if im honest, I would even take Heather Mills instead of Esson. Quote
manc_don Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Would love to see either of them at Pittodrie, however I think Schmeichel will fancy other options. I also don't think we'll be that adventurous and agree with BTR with who will most probably be the broom cupboard photo. Szamoltulksi certainly impressed me when I saw him, but just cna't see it happening sadly. Quote
sheep_shagger Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Did Gallagher not just sign a new contract at Dunfermline a couple months back? Quote
Guest bloo_toon_red Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Did Gallagher not just sign a new contract at Dunfermline a couple months back? I thought it was an extension to his loan deal, though I could be mistaken. EDIT Indeed you are right, a 3-year deal. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/d/dunfermline_athletic/7326034.stm What a waste. Quote
baggy89 Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Said before, say again (Jimmy get reading this forum), get Shane Higgs fae Cheltenham up here. Quote
Slim Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Stefan Postma of Den Haag has been linked with us in Holland apparently. Better known for playing for Aston Villa and having a sex tape leaked showing him getting rogered by his missus wearing a strap on. Quote
topcorner Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 What's Peter Kjaer doing these days? Quote
Madbadteacher Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 What's Peter Kjaer doing these days? Or Burridge? Quote
Kowalski Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 Better known for playing for Aston Villa and having a sex tape leaked showing him getting rogered by his missus wearing a strap on. Could be worse, could have had John Stewart scoring against him. Quote
Mackie's ace! Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 I see Stewart scored v Thistle last night too. Quote
Reekie_Red Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 Wish we could've got Schmeichel when we first looked at him a year ago. We said nah. He went to Man City. And he produced some phenomenal displays for them. I'd feel a lot more comfortable with him in goals than either Bonny or Soapy. Quote
Guest Robo Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 It was on the radio that Stefan Postma is linked with us Quote
Reekie_Red Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 Hmmm interesting. Wonder if De Visscher has alerted Jimmy to Postma's ability and availability. Was it Villa who bought him for $2million or something like that a couple of seasons ago??? Quote
manc_don Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 Yeah it was Villa. Wouldn't be a bad signing. the people on mad were talking about Calderwood being on a flight to Amsterdam and watching the Ajax-Heracles Almelo game. A few in the Almelo team I think he could have been watching. Including a moderately experienced 39 year old Quote
glasgowdon Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 Kasper Schmeichel is set to be told he is allowed to leave. Quote
manc_don Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 If it was a choice out of Schmeichel or Szamultoulski, I would want the monk in goals everytime. I was very impressed with him. Was watching the Ado highlights, Postma wasn't in goals, I was quite impressed with his debutant. Quote
One Bobby Clark Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 Does anyone realistically think we could possibly afford to pay Schmeichel's wages? Admittedly I have no idea how much he is on, but I doubt we could afford anyone who is playing (or sitting around) an EPL club. Szam has looked good when I've seen him. Why did he leaving Utd? Quote

Was only on a short term contract until the arsehole prone to crowd incitement was fit Quote
Millers Tache Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 Aye, he didn't want to sign on for longer as he had honour (he said) and would only play until his countryman was fit. He then reportedly told the huns he would only sign for them if he could get £15k a week, as he thought he'd just be a sub, but would take £4k a week to play first team football. Quote
El Padre™ Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 If Szamatoulski wanted to play in Scotland he surely would have stayed with UTD? Quote
sheepheid Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Tim Krul. Has a shoulder injury at present but would be an excellent signing. He's never going to get a proper game for NUFC as Steve Harper's happy to be a reserve keeper until he retires. Worth an ask surely? Quote
