I particularly feel sorry for Pars fans having to travel at the time they will have to Not an expert on public transport from Dunfermline to Aberdeen but would imagine that isn't going to work timing wise. It might actually be okay. I reckon public transport from Dunfermline to Aberdeen would be a bit of a dick about anyway, but you can get a bus around 8ish that takes less than three hours. Otherwise a two hour drive. It's easy coast, so it's not an insurmountable time. Nae like Hampden or somewhere that is 3+ hours and often worse on the way back. Quote

In fairness Rico I was merely thinking along the lines that our support face getting to Glasgow for a 12.30 kick off on a Sunday. Hope what you say is correct, the tie deserves a decent away support 1 Quote

Jute Posted yesterday at 19:31 Author Report Posted yesterday at 19:31 Public transport options are not great. Only one train from Edinburgh that arrives at 1147 that Pars fans would need to get to Kirkcaldy to pick up. No direct bus either to Aberdeen from Dunfermline but by changing and walking to Halbeath there is one bus that arrives on time. No train from Glasgow or Inverness line gets you on in time for kick off. Quote

Flixbus has a couple that would get you there in time Edit: from halbeath, but I'm guessing that isn't insurmountable Edited yesterday at 19:42 by RicoS321 Quote
Jute Posted 20 hours ago Author Report Posted 20 hours ago Halbeath is about hours walk from Dunfermline. Do not think there is a bus that gets you there in time for first bus but probably the second. Games should be at times it is easy for fans to travel to not one that requires leaving the house at 6 in the morning. I will probably just head up on Saturday and visit/freeload on in laws and stay over. Quote

The issue here seems to be a public transport one rather than a kick off time one though. The Sunday service at halbeath is reasonable, it's the fact that they've put a park and ride miles away with no joined up bus. It really shouldn't be beyond the wit of Dunfermline to engage with the local bus company and get a bus to the park and ride arranged if needed. However, I expect that most will be travelling by car or supporters bus. Quote
