manc_don Posted September 11 Report Posted September 11 Both teams coming into this one in good form so will be a good test footballing wise to see where we are. We haven’t actually lost to them since 22, which surprised me as I felt we’ve been shite for a long time but we’ve managed to get a few wins in amongst the draws. Will be very interested to see who lines up top for us, does he persist with sokler or give Nisbet a reward for his goal? Will Duk feature at all ? Hoping McGrath continues his electric form from before his concussion concern. out bed bed dunno 2-1 dons, McGrath and sokler. Quote
Jute Posted September 11 Report Posted September 11 If Clarkson is fit would like to see him coming in for Gueye and play in behind Striker with McGrath and Keskinen wide. Nisbet’s goal in the last game would see him getting nod over Sokler for me as our striker. As Manc says Motherwell seem to be in decent for and can see this being our toughest test so far. However to add to our problems I am also going to game which usually ends badly. In train then pub Y pub the train 2-0 Nisbet and Keskinen. Quote
Panda Posted September 11 Report Posted September 11 Think Spartans more likely to be the game Clarkson starts or Duk gets in the squad. Clarkson might make the bench and get a wee cameo v Motherwell. Think it'll be same again and only debate will be Sokler or Nisbet. Noted we've only made two changes to our starting XI in the league this season which is the lowest in the Premiership. Kilmarnock have made 16. Quote
redordead Posted September 11 Report Posted September 11 Should be a good test for us. Motherwell have been a pleasant surprise this season. I'd fancy us to win by a couple provided the old manager of the month curse doesn't strike. It'd be good to keep momentum as we've yet to really be tested in the league by a good side. Quote
Elgindon Posted September 11 Report Posted September 11 (edited) Might be a better idea to introduce Duk in an away game if he's to feature at all.Interesting to see the reaction he gets. Tough game v 'Well. If Clarkson isnt ready, might be an idea to play Sokler behind/with Nisbet, see if it benefits/brings on Sokler.Bring on Gueye if not,and lump a few balls into the box if struggling.Looks likely to sell out,but think theyre opening section R if ness. In hopefully Furryboots - Y Prediction 2 - 1 Dons Nisbet, Y Ah U Gueye Edited September 11 by Elgindon Quote
tlg1903 Posted September 11 Report Posted September 11 Another very solid interview with the gaffer up on RTV. He talks about Duk for a few minutes and reading between the lines I think he plans on giving him game time though I would be surprised if he even makes the bench for this one. As others have said I would expect to see Nisbet in for Sokler but we may see some more changes depending how fit those coming back from international duty are. Motherwell will likely be a sterner test than we have had this season though that has its benefits. I'm really interested to see how we do against a team that actually wants to take a swing at us rather than just sitting in. I do expect Motherwell to try and keep it tight, especially since they are away from home, but I think they will be trying to attack us more than any team has so far this season. 3-1 Aberdeen. Keskinen and Nisbet double Quote
BigAl Posted September 11 Report Posted September 11 Incoming surprise I actually agree with regarding team selection Any win will do and don't care how we get it Quote
Panda Posted September 12 Report Posted September 12 This won't be the line-up because of course Rubezic will start, but I rate MacDonald over him. I'd start Nisbet up front and replace Gueye with Sokler in behind him. Suspect Clarkson will be a second half sub. Quote
DantheDon Posted September 12 Report Posted September 12 Not necessarily expecting him to start but I would be surprised if Palvaresa doesn’t get a run out at some point. So that will be interesting to see. Most important thing is just to try and keep the momentum going with another win. Prediction: 2-0 the Dons, Nisbet and Mcgrath Quote

Prediction: 2-0 the Dons, Nisbet and Mcgrath The thing with palaversa is that he plays at the expense of sivert or shinnie, and those two have been so good it’s hard to take them off during meaningful minutes. At the same time, think we were all pretty surprised to see Topi yanked with 25 mins to go versus Ross county, and Morris came on and did a job. Keen to see what he can do, perhaps extended minutes if there’s an injury this weekend, or against Spartans? would like to see Vinny wide and McGrath at 10, not quite time for clarkson to start yet.. 2-0 this weekend, Nesbit and molloy. Panda Posted September 13 Report Posted September 13 Made a wee video. If you're into ASMR then you get to listen to my voice as a bonus. Quote

You were doing so well this week until you suggested that MacDonald should start ahead of Rubezic Give yourself a shake min You genuinely believe our best central defensive pairing is MacDonald & Molloy Quote

Unless I am mistaken I thought you said that both Ruby and Molloy's stats for clearances put them in the top four in the league for clearances. If I heard that correctly, it does beg the question why you would play MacDonald ahead of Ruby. If I have misunderstood this, then humble apologies Quote
Jute Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 No Shinnie which none of us predicted. Clarkson on the bench Quote
OrlandoDon Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 Devlin captain. Any info on shinnie?? Quote

OxfordDon Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 Shinnie is a loss, but on the other hand, a chance to see what Palaversa can do. Quote
tlg1903 Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 So it turns out big Pape isn't shit after all Quote
OrlandoDon Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 Haven’t seen much but good ball movement at times, little sloppy too though. Lovely goal, palaversa looks decent, more sivert than shinnie by the looks of things. Topi reminds me a little of mcginn, confident on the ball and wants it, but certainly more pace. Quote
OxfordDon Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 supersub Morris and Gueye again - 2-0. Round pegs, round ball in the square hole. 1 Quote
OrlandoDon Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 Loving this new signing pape gueye!!! Quote
redordead Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 Have to say that Morris had looked really dangerous again. I'd like to see us play him right with topi left next week. Proper pace with pape between them. Should blow Spartans away. In Quote
