Scottish Premiership - St Mirren v Aberdeen

This is where the season begins to unravel. Sold out away end, Aberdeen fans arriving in expectant mood, only to be met by a poor performance and Thelin's first defeat.

Nisbet to miss a few sitters, Gueye to revert to his early-Aberdeen form, Clarkson to struggle to make an impact, Rubezic to be caught out for one goal and to be at fault for the penalty, Keskinen to go missing.

Rangers to beat Hibs to narrow the gap on us to two points.

I mean, I might be wrong. If I am then sorry Dundee for jinxing you.

Looking forward to this one. Dundee’s early season form seems to have faded and we still seem to be rolling along. Sale of McGowan will weaken them as well. Would expect Shinnie to return to line up and Palaversa to drop to the bench although Palaversa has played well in last couple of games.

In

train then pub

away end

pub then train back to capital

2-0 Nisbet and Clarkson.

Not sure we can really drop Palaversa? He's played really well the last couple of games. It's a great headache for the club to have. We've actually got a very strong midfield, albeit wingers could be improved a bit.

I'm really interested to see how we line up for this one.

Out

Sleeping

hopefully sleeping

Heading to the Wairarapa all being well

2-2, Nisbet and Palaversa

Shinnie and Nilsen have to play.

Could maybe make the case of Palaversa over Clarkson.

Didn't realise you lived in New Zealand (presumed USA. Always thought you were being lazy sleeping in during games).

I lived with two girls from New Zealand. Promised them I'd visit them in Queenstown one day, but it's a bit of a trek isn't it? It's on the bucket list though.

Curious to see how center mid lines up, I’d say palaversa is more of a sivert than a shinnie, and we maybe miss shinnie’s runs when he’s not in there. Hard to drop shinnie though when fit, do see palaversa on the bench.

topi back to right mid or gueye again? Clarkson at 10 or gueye? Manager has some decisions to make.

2-1 us, McGrath and nisbet.

Oot

Despite still having question marks defensively, weve only conceded 4 goals all season,so fancy us to win by a couple this weekend.Think I'd take Shinnie back in for this, his early season forms hard to ignore. Hopefully see Keskinen get more involved this week

Prediction - Dees 1 - Dons 3  Gueye hat trick

aye, NZ is a fair old trek, but definitely worth a visit. Queenstown is pretty impressive landscape wise, probably better in the winter but still great in the summer. Switches from snow to mountain biking etc. Lots of Reekie's fellow residents use it as their second home!

Hopefully to get drunk on the exceptional Wairarapa / Martinborough wines, cos there is fuckall else there

In-laws have a new house out in the middle of nowhere. Next to one of Foley's vinyards, which I was tempted to sabotage in the name of the nix 😉 But aye, cracking wines out that way and only an hour away. Love it!

Thought Clarkson also played well, plus not sure I'd consider him and Palaversa as interchangeable.  Plus where do we put Pape?  I'm still not entirely convinced by him out wide, despite having such lightning pace for a big man™.

Yep, Clarkson was good. Palaversa goes to the bench. Gueye probably starts out wide, but probably shouldn't. Despite his goals, Pape is probably second to Clarkson in behind, second to Keskinen out wide and second to Nisbet as number nine. You could argue for him getting the nod in any of those three positions though. The number ten does seem to bring the best out of him however.

Yup. If it wasn’t for his goals Gueye is straight to the bench. Clarkson is a talent and probably brings more out of those around him, and either McGrath left and topi right, that’s a creative attacking 3. I think clarkson is a natural fit and, not trying to be negative, I expect gueye’s purple patch to end and clarkson returns to the 10 with topi on the right.

much like with morris, I do see gueye as a good player to bring off the bench when we need a change or are chasing a goal.

I did say could maybe make a case, wasn't particularly advocating it. Was more me taking umbrage at the suggestion Shinnie shouldn't start.

But, was interesting that Clarkson was saying he could only play 60/70 minutes last year before he would suffer cramp, and that Thelin told him to stay on against Spartans to get 90 minutes on him despite him again beginning to cramp up.

Think Gueye might be injured, which would solve any selection dilemmas.

Seen that suggested elsewhere but not seen anything in the press.

Just got myself a last minute ticket so heading up to see Jimmy Thelin's sexy Swedish reds.

Now that I'll be there I'll change my prediction to 1-0 Aberdeen, Palaversa off the bench with a last minute winner.

News breaking news his morning that ex Dundee player Fabian Caballero has passed away aged 46. 😒

Remember this guy during his time with them. A very handy player.

Assume a minutes applause will take place pre kick off

McGrath behind Nisbet,or Keskinen? Be interesting to see McGrath in there to see what he can do,think he could do some damage.I like Papes unpredictability, but this front 4 may be more on the same page...COYR

Clarkson in behind, Keskinen and McGrath on the wings. Hopefully it'll be McGrath left, Keskinen right, as the partnerships with the fullbacks have been absolutely key.
