Panda Posted October 11 Report Posted October 11 (edited) As per the tweet, Celtic are selling sections B7 and B8. If we have sold 12,000 then that's a big increase on the 7,187* sold for the Scottish Cup semi, and around the 12,800* that went to the Hibs semi. *Source: AFC heritage Edited October 11 by Panda Quote

Panda Posted October 31 Report Posted October 31 If Aberdeen win on Saturday, it'll be a long time since we've had a better seven days supporting the Dons. Last time I remember two huge wins back to back was 2014 when we won the LC semi 4-0 v St Johnstone, then won 2-1 in the Scottish Cup at Celtic Park. Must be a long, long time since we beat Celtic and Rangers back to back. 1 Quote
OrlandoDon Posted October 31 Report Posted October 31 I dont know what to expect. I also dont know how much last night took out of us, where’s Celtic have the luxury of freshening things up a little more than us. Celtic battered us at the end of the game 2 weeks ago and could have easily won. At the same time, we could have won too. We gave them something to think about, and from shinnie scoring to going up 3-2, they didn’t look unbeatable. One thing is for sure, we have a clever and creative manager. I’m sure he learned a lot playing Celtic and will make adjustments. Plus, we have a very motivated and driven team who have more than handled everything thrown at them season to date. We’re a brave group who won’t be scared. we’re due a cup win over them. They are due a domestic shock/loss. 3-2 us, possibly AET. Sokler, McGrath, and clarkson. Quote

The fact they didn't win means that it can't have been that easy. I don't think Wednesday will affect us that much. Apart from our back line, we are constantly making changes to the midfield and forwards, that's the big difference from the McInnes era where everyone got ran into the ground. For example, last night it was McGrath, Duk, Keskinen and Sokler who started. On Saturday there's every chance at least two of them don't start. You could (I'm not saying do this, just making an example) make the front four Clarkson, Vinnie, Morris, Nisbet and I don't think you've significantly weakened it. Likewise, I think Nilsen might be on the bench for this one with Palaversa starting. We'll be fine. Game done by half-time and players rested in the second half for the Dundee game. Quote
Elgindon Posted October 31 Report Posted October 31 Speaking of the Dundee game, just got ticket, only 400 odd left Quote

I guess ‘easily’ should be clarified. They created a number of chances and were unfortunate not to score. Just like we could have easily been 2 or 3 up at half time last night. We played so well last night first half that it’s fair to say it could easily have been a few goals in the first half, Celtic have the same argument. I wondered when he subbed sivert last night, and subbed him quite early. I think he was on a booking and putting himself around, but he also saved his legs so fully expect him to start at the weekend. as for the team, maybe nisbet for sokler if fit but sokler played well last night and kinda deserves the start. He’s also scored against Celtic, this season and last season I. The cup. I’d start clarkson and McGrath wide, duk coming on to terrorize them second half. It’s really our ‘normal’ 11. Is duk healthy?? Quote

So that was Sokler in front of Duk McGrath Keskinen But Duk went off injured last night so even if fit I don't think he'll start. Morris could start but he plays on the right, and as Rico said Keskinen was doing well until he moved to the left to accommodate Morris. With that I wouldn't be adverse to giving Vinnie a start on the left. He's done okay off the bench the last two games. Quote
Jute Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 Think this is the one where the unbeaten run ends. Celtic being able to rest players on Wednesday giving them just enough of an advantage to get passed us. We put a lot into Wednesday and had a few who looked knackered at the end of the game. Agree with Panda that we will probably start Sokler up front with Duk, McGrath and Keskinen behind him with Vinnie coming in for Duk if he’s not fit. Neilsen and Shinnie to start and expect Palaversa to come on for one of them early in second half. In Train then pub in centre West Stand Train back to capital 1-2 Sokler with Dons goal Quote

redordead Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 In Driving in after son finishes his shift Sth stand Driving to an 18th birthday / Halloween party 3-2 dons because why not Duk, ester and keskinen to finally come of age with a winner. Quote
tlg1903 Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 Celtic are defo favourites for this one but I wouldn't be that shocked if we snuck it....... Andrew Dallas is on VAR as well and he's blatently a hun . They will be fresher, of course they will, and if we are to do it we need to do it in the 90 i would suspect. My biggest fear is that Devlin and Mackenzie have played the full 90 against utd and der hun and they are going to run out of legs around the 70 minute mark, possibly sooner given how hard they have to work in this system. Head says 3-1 celtic, heart says 2-1 dons. Quote

Celtic won't ease up again like they did at the Tattiedome, Rodgers will make sure of that! But you can never say never with Thelins game management. Quote

I'm not so sure they eased off, imo they really weren't expecting us to come out swinging like we did and it took them a while to get used to it. Quote
Panda Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 Wednesday was disappointing, we let our standards drop by conceding, missing a penalty, and letting a really poor side believe they could steal a point. I fully expect us to return to form, keep it tight at the back, and end Celtic's unbeaten run. 1 Quote
scotfree Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 Safe journey to all that are travelling down. Quote
Elgindon Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 Would have written us off for this one, even a few weeks ago,but this side continues to surprise. Am oot for this, enjoy your day out those going. Prediction - 2 - 1 Dons AET. Sokler, Pistol Pete in the 124th minute. COYR Quote
OrlandoDon Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 I still, using my head, think Celtic will beat us. Bigger budget and better players, plus they are used to and expect to win. And we had a very emotional and exhausting game on Wednesday. But this time is different, we are on a major run and we have a manager who can do no wrong. Every time we have been questioned we’ve more than answered. Why not today, as I said before, Celtic are due a shock domestic loss and we’re due a cup win over Celtic..??!? Quote
RicoS321 Posted November 2 Author Report Posted November 2 Top shambles from the VAR cunts and their shite system. Embarrassing. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 Almost as embarrassing as the last 15 mins. Just don’t have the fire and passion, couple of mistakes with a set piece goal and a poor counter. excuse I know, but flat from Wednesday. hook duk and topi. Morris to the right, McGrath left. Shinnie further forward with oalaversa alongside sivert. nothing to lose. Quote
Slim Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 Too much shitebag “dip half a foot in and hope for the best” defending. Quote
