Calvin ramsay looks to be off to Killie on loan, I would have had him back for the rest of the season quite happily

We don't want to bring him down to our level, we could still make money off the lad if he resurrects his career! To be honest, if we're looking at a right back, I think it needs to be one that we might get permanently rather than a loanee. I'd hate to think we were giving Ramsay game time ahead of Devlin for him to fuck off back down South at the end of the season. That wouldn't sit right for me given Devlin's form and effort this season. I don't think it's a priority area that we need to rock the boat in during this window. I wonder if Tobers will be seen as cover for right back if Devlin needs rested until Milne returns (with Polvara going into centre back)? I'd like to see a couple more: a striker and a left centre back.

Nilsen was okay yesterday, but he was surprisingly uncomfortable with playing the ball out on his left foot. He hesitated so many times, and missed one or two easy opportunities to give it to Okkels, as if he didn't have the confidence to make the slide ball between two players on his wrong side. Polvara looked far more comfortable on his left side against Motherwell. I'd certainly be looking for a permanent left centre half. I have a feeling that Nilsen will get absolutely rinsed by the Hun if he plays there in that fixture. Whilst Okkels was poor, he did help out defensively, and his overall positioning was good.

It would have been really nice to have had Gueye back a couple of weeks ago so we could assess in this window before bulking the squad up with another striker.

From what I’ve read Alex Jensen can play right/left back so that helps there, provided we sign him. I also don’t think gueye is a center forward so doesn’t factor in to our needs there. From what I remember, gueye played the roaming 10 role ahead of clarkson. Certainly hoping he comes back there and performs, much needed in that position too. any health update there??

Hopefully back for St Mirren game on 25th. 🤞

Aye, it was more from the point of view of having someone who can win the ball higher up. He played at 10 and out left. I had a glimmer of hope that he might be able to bring something out in Nisbet. I have a feeling that because the other strikers have been shite, that he might just try and shoehorn him into number 9, like has been done with Duk (with some justification).

Big Alfie on board. Not many nineteen year olds come in and manage at centre half, so it'll be interesting. I'm hoping he could be the next Rhys Williams.

Don’t set the bar too high there 😂 that said, how else would we continue going off topic and being able to update our shite CB pairings?

Spurs fans don't see Dorrington ever breaking into the top team on a regular basis. However Ange has given him a new contract til 2029 immediately before sending him up to us. So clearly he thinks there's something there.

Dorrington (I keep wanting to call him Donnington for some reason) has represented England at all youth levels up to his current U19 status, so he must have something about him ...

Nothing more on Jensen, or Isak coming from Newcastle?

Jensen fee agreed a couple of days ago. It's now down to personal terms.

As for Isak, the guy only scores every 113 minutes. That sort of stat is never gonna dislodge Peter Ambrose as first choice

So you're saying a swap deal is more realistic?

Fair play to the club, no fucking about this window. If they’ve got a striker lined up it’ll be perfect - on paper!

Sound like it, fingers crossed we seal the deal on a 9!

Interesting listening to the Jensen interview, almost sounds like the danish stewart mckimmie, a right back who is comfortable at left back, played in midfield, and I’d assume can fill in at central defense as needed. Exactly what our squad needs, provided he can play! I’ll say he’s like sivert and okkels in a sense, while he didn’t play for jimmy he played against him and in the same league so is a known quantity.

the spurs loanee is a right footed left sided central defender with pace and good in the air from what I read. Again, sounds like what we need. And who knows, maybe he’s good and pulls a clarkson and signs on permanently after a successful loan.

weve splashed cash big time and all looks good on paper as wee toon says. I am sure all of these players are signed and sold on the miovski mindset, 2-3 years then punt to a big league for good money and fame and fortune. Kudos to cormack, spending money and relatively early in the window. Then again, he splashed on Richardson morris and Ambrose😳

Dorrington signed a new 4 year deal before coming on loan so doubt he will be signing on even if his loan is successful.

Jensen is an interesting one. Looks the very definition of a utility player but utility players are usually ones who are not good enough to be a long term answers in a set position but good enough to plug the gap until a longer term solution is found. However given fee we have paid I would be surprised if we are signing him to be a utility player and will have a position set for him. Which one I have no idea.

Jimmy been on this forum it seems. He's been expressing the need to have a Scottish core to the team as a Scottish side. He's not been in Aberdeen long enough IMO, should be emphasising the need for players born North of Stonehaven.

https://www.nottheoldfirm.com/transfers/kal-naismith-is-aberdeen-transfer-target-as-andy-hallidays-mystery-man-uncovered/

Naismith, 32 year old Hun, apparently plays anywhere on the park apart from in nets.

Loan until season end.

Ach well in Jimmy I trust, guess it doesn't make us a weaker team and hopefully only as we have someone on pre contract for the summer that he is providing cover for 🤔
