Huge game, which could heap on the pressure depending on how today goes for both of the cheeks. Would love us to have the sacking effect on another hun manager.

Intrigued to know how he sets up for this one. Would have thought that the Celtic game would have been replicated against the arabs, but maybe it’ll be done against the hun (nisbet pending). Didn’t quite work with having palaversa and nilsen in the middle this time round, but has on others. I’d like to hope that McGrath wouldn’t be as anonymous this time round too. Just didn’t happen for him but he was probably due an off day!

Theyre shite, just hope we show them that they are. Perfect Halloween trick (a day early I know but not for us in the future 😉).

Still buzzing from yesterday and I can't fucking wait for this one.  In all my years supporting the dons I've never gone into a hun game not only so confident of a win but confident of genuinely hurting them.  We are going to be so up for this as well.  The likes of Nisbet, Shinnie, Mackenzie and Devlin will be in everyone's ear about just how much a win will mean for the fans and how not turning up isn't an option.

Team wise I defo want Shinnie back in from the start. Would keep Sokler up front but the real question mark for me is whether we go for Keskinen or Morris on the right. I suspect it will probably be Keskinen but Morris has defo given the gaffer something to think about.

4-1 dons.  Mcgrath, Sokler, Ruby and Nisbet

Aye, I wondered if topi would make way tbh. Maybe give him a rocket up his arse for his decision making but I do think Morris is a reasonable option off the bench, especially a tiring team.

Have to watch this at work on Thursday morning. Have block booked out my calendar so people don’t put meetings in it. Not that they won’t be able to hear anyway.

I fully expect us to play McGrath clarkson and topi behind nisbet if fit, if not sokler. Shinnie back in with sivert.

duk and morris have had chances, duk is just coming back and morris had his chance earlier in the season and didn’t take it. Both have produced off the bench in recent weeks, that’s where they are best utilized at present.

I wanted us to go for Alan Campbell but we signed palaversa. We got what we needed though, three legit starting center mids. Expect shinnie back with sivert with palaversa a good player to bring on when we are ahead second half and tightening things a little.

its nice to have options rather than eleven players and dross coming in after that, which we have seen recently. Don’t know enough about the  huns but we have plenty of players who have experience in this fixture and /or know the importance. Confidence is sky high, we have a level headed and clever manager by the look of things.

we've said recently that the next game is a real test, Dundee away, hearts, Celtic, and utd. And we’ve come through it very impressively. Are the Huns any different? Everything we hear is that their manager is suspect and their players are average. I see no reason why we cannot win this.

2-1 us, McGrath and clarkson.

I'm heading up to this one. The drive back to Glasgow is always more fun when driving past all the supporters buses knowing the Dons have just given their team a seeing to, so hopefully that's the case on Wednesday.

First game in a while where there's more pressure on the opposition than us. Every game recently it has felt we were in the spotlight with everyone waiting for us to slip up, that we'd bottle it when we got "tested". But now it's all on Rangers, fans and pundits making us favourites, a nine-point if Rangers lose, and it could even be a result Clement doesn't survive.

Huge test of Rangers' bottle and I think our boys will really fucking fancy it. As long as we don't get carried away by the hype and (to borrow a phrase) we stay humble and respect the opponent, then this could be another memorable night.

Your last part is key. Thelin has made humble comments so often, one game at a time etc, that I don’t think we get carried away. Add to that, we had the stones to come back at parkhead, and we have a manager that coached us to a win making in game changes on Saturday. I know we’ll lose at some point, I just dont think it’s Wednesday. I think our mentality will be spot on and the orcs are vulnerable.

Being favourites going into any game makes me nervous. Going in as favourites against the Huns ... I seriously don't remember this happening before. Certainly not in the last 35 years. This scares me, and I hipe the squad is taking heed of Jimmy's call for humbleness

The Huns seem to be grinding out results, but I dunno if that's just the nature of having significantly more skilled and higher value players coming up against much much weaker opposition. I don't think Jimmy will be able to foil them as easily as he foiled Goodwin. But he has a real knack of recognising when he has the wrong player on field, and isn't afraid to change tactics and personnel as soon as he sees it.

For this reason, I think tactically we will overcome The Huns. It won't be easy. But I do think we will take the 3 points

2-1 Rubi and Clarkson. I also fancy Barron to be red carded 🤣

I think we might play Nilsen and Palaversa, with Shinnie in front. Shinnie will spend the entire half getting right into Barron, not letting him move, and he'll take the bait and get sent off. We'll then take on all our flair players, like Morris and Ambrose, and put six past them.

Disliking all the hype and optimism that is building up in advance of this game.

We all know and the record books confirm it, that these cunts ALWAYS raise their game against us.

Having survived, Parkhead unscathed, a difficult test against Goodwin's Utd on Saturday evening (let's be honest he would have loved to be the one to bring the current run to an end), I just have a bad feeling about this and it is scripted that Der Hun will be the one that ends it. If so and obviously hoping it won't be, then big test for the management to get everything back on track ahead of massive game on Saturday, with a cup final appearance at stake.

Opportunities like these, are obviously what we all strive for and a couple of wins back to back against the cheeks in the space of four days would be fantastic.

Sorry about the negativity, just got a bad feeling but would love to be proved miles of the mark.

I think I would relate to this more had I not been stalking the rangers forums for schadenfreude since they went out to Kiev (I can give it up anytime I like... I CAN!!!!!).

Some are still on the deludamol but the vast majority are predicting this will be the game that gets Clement binned.  The common complaints are; too passive, no plan B, can't break down teams, no pace, Tavernier, completely one dimensional, Dessers and Tavernier.

Keep the head mun, it's gonna be fine.  Worst that will happen is they fluke a draw.

Hope you're right mate.

Staying where I do, I'm surrounded by them, so it'll be hell on earth if they prevail. It actually is, anytime they do, but just sense it would be even worse this time.

I am really looking forward to this one. Favourites tag doesn’t bother me as I can’t see It phasing Thelin and he will have us approaching game in correct manner.

Blue bigots did not look particularly good from highlights yesterday and can definitely be got at defensively. Butland earned them a lot of points last season but seems to off the level he was at last season. Their midfield is not great defensively and doesn’t create much. Dessers up front is one of the worst I have see up front for them.

As others have said can see us going with midfield of Nielsen, Palaversa and Shinnie in front of them. Nisbet to start up front if fit. Would still go with Keskinen and McGrath wide.

In

lift up then pub hopefully

Y

lift down the road

2-0 Nisbet and McGrath.

I don’t see it being all 3 at the same time, shinnie sivert and palaversa. One of our strengths this season has been our subbing and being able to bring on a fresh legit center mid in the second half has been huge for us. He didn’t do it at Celtic and don’t expect it at home to a lesser team.

Not sure where folk are getting this from.

Dons are 14/5 to win this.  Hunnery are favourites at 21/20 with the bookies.

Favourites with fans and pundits, not necessarily the bookies. On Sportsound last night, pretty much every pundit said Aberdeen are favourites.

I got 27/10 with enhanced prices on PP.  Ridiculous odds and far too good to turn down.

Ah, the Hun demise is massively over played.  They are probably 3 points worse off than you would realistically expect to them to be at this stage all because of the loss to Killie. The Celtic defeat and the Hearts draw were not hugely unexpected.

If you look at our own fixtures we are maybe 6 points better than we would hope to be if you had looked through the fixture list at the start.

It's not overplayed imo, they are a club very much in crisis and have been since they went out to Kiev.

I think they are under so much pressure to compete with Celtic on the park while not having their shit together off it. Money is an issue to them obviously, to an extent I dont fully understand, but I think missing out on champions league is enormous.  I also think it’s clear they aren’t progressing on the field due to two main factors, the manager has not improved performance and doesn’t appear to even have a style of play, plus their new signs have cost money but so far do not appear to have bought value.
then the dons factor kicks in which affects them in my opinion. Our manager has brought an instant impact with a smaller budget. We are playing well, fans are excited, and we have a clear tactical set up - they have none of that.

You then could argue gueye, sivert, mitov, molloy, even palaversa and topi have had as big if not a bigger impact than their more costly signings.

they envy us and that terrifies them. Lose Wednesday and that is devastating to their club and fans. Now and potentially next too, at least.

Not making the CL massively put them up the swanny but they have been a poorly run club for quite a while now.  When they won the league they had an opportunity to progress and massively fucked it. They have multiple key senior positions vacant, have wasted so much money on diddy players and sacked managers and then gave Clement a contract extension despite little sign of progress and not even being in the job a year.  The chat amongst the hordes of mordor is that it was a sweetener to stop him quitting because the finances were much worse than they had led him to believe when he accepted the job. Which is why I think they are a club in crisis since they went out of the CL

Connor Barron - should he actually be allowed to play considering Rangers still haven't paid for him?

This is the longest delay I've ever known for a tribunal to determine a transfer fee.
