This is going to be massive test of managers ability to lift players after a very poor performance from most of team. Devlin looked like he was nursing an injury that got worse as game went on and he was limping as he went off. If he is not fit got no idea who will go at right back. Rubi probably needs dropped for that performance on Saturday but not convinced McDonald or Molly have strength to deal with Vassel. In midfield I just don’t think we can play Clarkson and  McGrath together. Needs to be one or the other. For me has to be McGrath central and Clarkson who drops out. I would also drop Nilsen and play Palaversa. I had hoped the rest might of helped him but he again looked off it on Saturday. Upfront no idea. Need to pick one of them and stick with him for a few games. Killie on their carpet is normally a difficult game but given how error prone we have been can’t see us winning.

You really think we drop Clarkson over McGrath? McGrath has been a drain on the team for nigh oh 2 months. Since the hun game in fact.

I don’t think we’ll get anything from this game, such is the sad state of affairs and the state of our squad. I’d actually keep McKenzie out. If he’s not signing, not at the races, we go with Mcgarry. Think Rubi has to drop out and McDonald comes in alongside Molloy. Just have to pray that Devlin is ok. Palaversa with either Shinnie or polvara.

fuck knows who we play up top. Guess it doesn’t matter as neither of them score goals anyway. I’m not sure JT quite knows what to do at the moment, looks like the OT curse rubbed off on him when he went down. Got to hope that our Jan recruitment is on the money. Oh, and fuck McInnes.

2-0 killie, no dons scorer.

I think McGrath’s drop in form has come since he was moved out of the middle to accommodate Clarkson. Although McGrath can play wide I think he is at his best in the middle and Clarkson just has not been as effective.

I'd argue Clarkson has been shite since we signed him permanently.  Possibly a bigger waste of £1M than Paul Bernard actually.

McGrath's a terrific player but you have to factor in that he had an operation in mid November.  Can't be easy coming right back into the team after that but he's been the only guy other than Miovski who has consistently scored goals for us these last couple of years.

Clarkson's still a young lad, in a very difficult role, we can give him time. McGrath also had several years where he wasn't up to it during his career. You're expected to make things happen, but also take the abuse when you try something that doesn't work. I find that the Dons fans around me are very impatient with Clarkson, but he's the one trying to do the inch perfect through ball that will get us the goal, so he's going to have more misplaced passes than likes of Shinnie or Neilsen, and McGrath when he's out wide. He was very good in the first half on Saturday, but the error seemed to knock him well off his stride. He was also good against St Johnstone. McGrath has just drifted in and out of games of late, and I see no reason that we shouldn't give them a half each for the next couple of games.

McGrath was fine on the left and playing well at the start of the season. Things changed when duk came back and he’s been played left then middle, right, plus injured, also hasn’t been the same since he missed his penalty. Seems to have lost confidence, much like a few others.

id prefer we went back to McGrath left and topi right, how the season and our good run came about. Long term we sign a left mid/winger but going back to what brought us success is the solution to me.

as has been said too, I think we stick w sokler and see if he finds form. Given nisbet hasn’t become a permanent starter I assume it’s because he’s not seen as good enough.

think we stick w ruby, he seems a confidence guy and dropping him at present may not be the answer, since JT doesn’t seem to rate Macdonald, why rotate. Also think we may see polvara at right back in the coming weeks.

back to killie. They are ok at the moment and play on a shit pitch. 1-1, sokler.
