Why not take a look before spending money? I think we all believe Ambrose isn’t good enough but why not give it a try. JT sees us as a long term project that he’s giving the guy a chance. now, shaky lineup, don’t think duk has done anything to show he can play 90 mins, and getting increasingly concerned that we keep changing the 11. Will be an interesting watch. Ambrose has started for us before. He was gash. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted yesterday at 15:21 Report Posted yesterday at 15:21 1 down and deservedly so. All killie. Brutal stuff, zero passes and just killie attacking. Quote

Aye, been terrible. Duk defending is like having a man down. MacDonald for the goal was weird, he just seemed to run away from the flight of the ball. Quote
RicoS321 Posted yesterday at 15:57 Report Posted yesterday at 15:57 Another poor half, with players all over the shop. Molloy has been poor for a couple of games, but MacDonald on his wrong foot is never the answer. His body shape is always wrong, and his passing is always biased to the wrong side (he either plays one down the line that curves out, or plays it into the area of the centre halves. MacKenzie hasn't helped him much and has been poor too. We seem to be struggling with their shape, they have a couple of wing backs, and our fullbacks are a good bit off them as they've also got Wales and Vassell up front to be aware of. Duk isn't tracking, and when he does it's completely unpredictable. This surface, away from home, cries out for someone like Sokler to run into the channels and chase things down whilst making space for others. Shinnie not been great, but McGrath seems to want to make it impossible for him to get the ball through to by hiding behind the midfielders. Keskinen been about the only bright spark today. Ambrose obviously a waste of a jersey. Quote

Difficult to fault someone given fuck all service. Quote

The service has been poor, but his movement has been terrible (although I accept the telly may be deceiving). Quote
OrlandoDon Posted yesterday at 16:15 Report Posted yesterday at 16:15 Ambrose has proven he doesn’t belong. Didn’t grudge the start given the options are poor but yet again he proves he doesn’t belong. Duk and McGrath have done nothing, would like to see Morris, clarkson, and sokler asap. Quote
RicoS321 Posted yesterday at 16:19 Report Posted yesterday at 16:19 That was coming. What fucking game is Thelin watching? Those subs needed to happen five minutes ago. Fucking waiting again. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted yesterday at 16:19 Report Posted yesterday at 16:19 Shocking goal to lose, we have 7 players in the box and they have one. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted yesterday at 16:20 Report Posted yesterday at 16:20 Last couple of games we haven’t subbed at half time when we should have done. Now we’re pretty much fucked. Quote
RicoS321 Posted yesterday at 16:21 Report Posted yesterday at 16:21 Keskinen off? Wow. McGrath must be looking better at the ground? Quote
tom_widdows Posted yesterday at 16:23 Report Posted yesterday at 16:23 Is there some sort of 'Red Dwarf luck virus' that infects Dons Managers for 10-12 games? Robson had a decent run then fell away sharply. Now it's Thelin's turn Quote
redordead Posted yesterday at 16:24 Report Posted yesterday at 16:24 McGrath anonymous, shinnie just isn't up to the physical games and this was always going to be one. Nilsen very poor today and we look to have no real plan other than to get it in a channel and run with it. Really poor. Changes are needed . We need to up our physicality and impose ourselves on games because the tactics have been found out. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted yesterday at 16:24 Report Posted yesterday at 16:24 (edited) Our collapse in the last month is unbelievable. We have zero confidence now and it shows. I see killie scoring more. Shocking display. duk up top is no better than Ambrose. Edited yesterday at 16:26 by OrlandoDon Quote

BigAl Posted yesterday at 16:57 Author Report Posted yesterday at 16:57 Fucking brutal Thanks for ruining my Xmas Quote
RicoS321 Posted yesterday at 17:00 Report Posted yesterday at 17:00 Reverting to the mean now. Worst performance of the season so far, completely lost all confidence. Thelin needs to work out his best eleven, who can play together as a unit and then who makes the biggest impact from the bench. Changing it every week isn't working, give the eleven a few games to prove themselves. Give McGrath a rest too, he's had a great season but is in danger of losing the goodwill with the manager not taking him off when he's struggling. Think we missed Molloy today. He has his issues, but he knows instinctively to come across when Rubi moves out the way, like for their third, and just moves the ball to the forward far quicker and more accurately. Anyway, the score summed up the game perfectly. Got exactly as we deserved. Quote
Jute Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago 4-0 flattered us. So many of our players looked completely off it. Why anyone would start Ambrose after Saturday is beyond me. McDonald on his wrong foot was never going to work. As has been said subs should have been made at half time but not necessarily players who came on and off. Palaversa does not look a £700k player never mind a £7m one. Teams have figured us out and manger now has massive test ahead of him. I fear United may be passed us shortly. Quote
BigAl Posted 23 hours ago Author Report Posted 23 hours ago The only positive I can come up with from today is that I managed to get home by 5.23pm Safe journey to all Dandies heading up the road. As Rico has said, worst performance of the season and there have now been a fair few, far far worse that the Hampden humiliation which at least was to a decent team. January window not a great time to pick up players, but if anyone was under any point illusions before today just how far away from being the finished article we were, then today should have at least highlighted that. OrlandoDon Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago When we dominated in center mid early season the other players around sivert and shinnie thrived. Sivert has been poor in recent weeks which affects Shinnie and palaversa has failed to improve us when he comes in. I’m assuming other teams learned that Sivert makes us click and he’s being given less time and space and pressured into mistakes. I also see shinnie and Sivert show a lot less for a short pass, and we’re losing our style of play. A lot more aimless long ball today, and in recent weeks, we’re rarely seeing us hit the forward, a layoff, and a fast attack/counter. We’re now relying on a team of players who are average, with confidence are good and lacking confidence you get shit and a result like today. As mentioned, it’s a long term project and many of our squad are hit/miss. Certainly the first part of the season showed we have some ability, but long term if performance can’t be maintained then they aren’t good enough, which brings us back to the squad overhaul we discussed in the summer. manc_don Posted 21 hours ago Report Posted 21 hours ago So can we agree to get McGrath and McKenzie in the bin now then? Obviously not the only criminals, but there is no way they should be starting for the club. Quote
