I think we need to see how the new recruits are looking over the next couple of months before we can really say what we need come summer. Only obvious ones are replacements for McGrath and McKenzie.

There should really be a separate thread for each of those contract expiry points.

Fecking great idea. I'll sort it out when I get five minutes, although we might need to put Rico under observation 🙄

Watched the young boy smith playing at QOS yesterday and he was electric for the whole game.

Might have been having a great game but he looked levels above div 1.

Can play both wings and ten

Now before we slate D1 remember last week people were wanting Marshall back from cove.

This boy is a mile above anyone we have on loan in that league.

Who was? He's clearly nowhere near ready.

Anyway, you're lad sounds perfect, get him signed. Wasn't he supposed to be the next big thing when at Killie, but went down south and didn't make it? Failed to make it at Partick also. However, he could have given himself a boot up the hole since.

Another to look at from lower leagues is Max Barrie at Peterhead. Saw him yesterday and looked well above league 2 level. Was with us as a youth player but got released. Not sure if he is our level yet but the sort of player you could take a punt on if we still had reserve team football to develop players over 18.

As an aside Marshall looked good in highlights from yesterday’s game against Livingston.

Aye, my doubts around Marshall are his pace, and obviously he's not physically robust enough yet. Looks like he can play fitba.

After last week's defeat there were quite a few people on FB calling for him to come back and drop shinnie and Nilsen.

I pointed out there that fyvie is still easily coves best player and we wouldn't want him in our first team now.

Thought Josh Mulligan looked good yesterday, and his contract expires in May.

Wales again looking excellent for Killie. We should have been offering a wild pre-contract in January, but I expect he'll go down South in the summer.

I've been thinking about Mulligan as well, would be surprised if as a club we weren't giving him a thought or two.

As an aside, although I was depending upon TV coverage to watch, I tried to keep an eye on Cameron to see exactly what we would be missing out on

Whilst I should allow for the circumstances and that he might not be putting 100% effort into it, I didn't think he was anything special.

Wouldn't be surprised for him to become Barron mark two for the Huns.

Another name I would chuck in would be Hale from County although we would have to pay a fee there. 12 goals so far this season.

Was chatting with a county supporting pal the other day and he was raving about Hale.

Who's Mulligan btw?  I've had a lot on my plate the past few months and not really been keeping up with football other than the dons.

Are we factoring in what we need or just throwing out potential talent? To be realistic, do these players fill a need in our squad? I think rules for Europe require Scot’s in the squad and that’s a concern. We also have a bloated squad and need to move players on.

liam smith - QOS - winger/10 - Scottish - for arguments sake, let’s say we sign okkels, we’d have okkels gueye topi, morris, and vinnie. Space for smith? I’d say yes and punt Vinny. Think we may punt Morris too.

josh mulligan - defender/midfielder? Who does he replace in the squad? We have shinnie palaversa sivert polvara, even jack milne and Jensen.

Ronan hale - worth a look for sure. We have no forwards. Hoping dabbagh comes good, seems like a similar personality to miovski and a very likeable guy. Hope we punt Ambrose nisbet and sokler and it’s the summer of adding talent at the center forward position.

id say we need to target a couple of forwards and a winger. Probably a left back too. Other than that we have a large squad and need to be clearing out a few in the summer. We’ve done a lot the last two windows in bringing in, a few need to go. Also hope we bring in/move up some Scottish dons youth.

If we make Europe we will need to add more Scots also more depth and numbers to cope with additional games. Agree we do need to move on some the dross but we will need a bigger better quality squad.

If you believe all you read in the rags, then McCrorie is being lined up for a summer move to Crystal Palace in the summer.

Players don't move from the Championship to Premier League for buttons and we hold a sell on percentage, so another shit load of cash potentially coming our way 🤞

I've heard he's being lined up for a summer move in the winter.
