manc_don Posted Sunday at 22:26 Report Posted Sunday at 22:26 Since having a rogue apostrophe on the home side and stated date appeared to serve us well this last weekend, thought I'd give it a go for this next week. This game is massively important to our season because we need: 1) to see if we've finally turned the corner and 2) to keep another top 6 candidate at bay. There've been a few murmurings in the press again signalling that McInnes should be a hun soon. It was odd, as they essentially were saying he should steady the ship and they should get someone else in after that Great vote of confidence that. Anyway, we've got a few more players available and I thought from the 20min highlights I saw, we looked reasonable in attack, albeit a bit wasteful, but still looked vulnerable at the back. So we're far from being out the woods yet. I'd be keen to see Nisbet and PHG keep their places, in fact, pretty much that starting XI could stay as I think they've probably earnt it. Killie haven't won away from home in the league since the end of October, so we shouldn't lack confidence, despite their win against the tractor saints on the weekend. I'll let Panda come up with the team graphics Out Bed Bed 2-1 Dons, Nilsen and Nisbet Quote
scotfree Posted Monday at 01:41 Report Posted Monday at 01:41 The Hun job is a poisoned chalice. I don't think McInnes would be that daft. Anyone know how Calvin Ramsay is going with them? I'm surprised he was sent there on loan as a plastic pitch is not the best coming back from a serious injury. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted Monday at 01:51 Report Posted Monday at 01:51 (edited) One of our key factors in the early season run was that we were pretty much able to churn out the same 11 every week. I’d be inclined to say same again for the third game in a row, with the exception of mitov if he’s fully fit. As much as I rate Devlin, the rest has done him a power of good, not overly fussed if he comes off the bench. Likewise, I really want to see our new 9 start but nisbet has hit a little form and is developing chemistry with our attacking 3 behind him. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. 3-1 us, nisbet, gueye, dabbagh, although I’m pretty sure a tobers goal is coming soon. Edited Monday at 01:52 by OrlandoDon Quote

He has only played 46 minutes for them so far. Far too early to be thinking about next Saturday yet. 1 Quote
Elgindon Posted Monday at 08:41 Report Posted Monday at 08:41 In - Mainer Our intensity was better on Saturday, wasnt pretty at times, but if we can get some consistency in team selection from now,we might kick on/gel a bit. I think Nisbet wants to be here more than we think.Been feeding off scraps, and his style not ideally suited, but like to see what he does if Gueye,Okkels Keskinen get up to speed Heart 4 - 1 Dons,...head 2 - 2 Nisbet,Gueye Quote

Reekie_Red Posted Monday at 23:49 Report Posted Monday at 23:49 I watched the highlights of the Killie StJ game. They look handy, the lad Wales especially - he peppered shots at goal at every opportunity. And the lad Murray scored an absolute screamer of a free kick that was second only to Keskinen's belter. But they were up against the worst StJ team I've seen in years. I'm cautiously optimistic we can get a result here. Won't be easy, but I'm going for 3-2 win - Gueye, Nisbet, Jensen Quote

Jute Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Aye. Going to work for a bit in the morning in office across from Waverley then head up. Strong believer in not changing a winning team so would be happy to see same starting 11 on Saturday although would not be too unhappy if Devlin was to start and Jensen moved into midfield for either Okkels or Gueye. Killie’s away form is not good and we are due them for that doing on Boxing Day so hopping for comfortable home win but expect McInnes to try and shitfest his away to a point. In late train then swift walk to ground. Y pint then train back to capital. 2-0 Nisbet and Keskinen Quote

Off to London to meet up with my son and then off to Melbourne on Sunday to visit my daughter...missing 3 Dons home games...I know, what a martyr. 1 Quote
OrlandoDon Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Interesting that the top 8 all play each other. A win would be big for us, obviously, especially with going to Celtic on Wednesday. COYR! Quote

If I was a LNER that’s in Fife then you didnt wave back. 6 hour train day before a 20 odd hour flight would not be for me. Enjoy the trip. Football addict in me did think ooh wonder if Melbourne teams are at home next week. Quote
