Goldie03 Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago It's quite a strange game to watch, like we think we are better at strolling about with the ball than we are but actually have rattled them a bit then we are so slack with our passing and they just fucking score when they feel like it Don't think I can watch the 2nd half but I would really like us to just score a goal against them!! RicoS321 Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago Mental that Nisbet is off rather than Dabbagh. Quote
Jute Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago No complaints about that. Defended poorly at times and despite chances only had one actual shot on target which was Morris’ goal. Quote
redordead Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Decent first half hour. Thought we tried to pass in very tight spaces and it was our undoing. Okkels loses the ball twice twenty yards out and they score from it twice. Dabbag had to score that early chance. For lack of a better phrase, he shat it. Morris really deserves his chance at the weekend. Surprised he changed a winning ( if battling to scrape a win) team tonight. Quote
RicoS321 Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Just now, redordead said: Surprised he changed a winning ( if battling to scrape a win) team tonight. You could see why when Gueye came on. He just sort of wondered about, not taking up particularly good space, and not shutting down the angles in defence, he just looked lazy. Not a player for a game against the Tims. The midfield was a slight surprise, although Palaversa wasn't particularly good at the weekend. The biggest surprise was Doohan, as I think even if Mitov had a leg missing I'd have played him. Quote
Panda Posted 15 hours ago Report Posted 15 hours ago I've seen us play much worse than that at Celtic Park, but we froze in both boxes. Celtic looked average tonight, criminal that we conceded five. Positives to take are Dabbagh getting more minutes, while Mackenzie & Keskinen played well I thought. Hopefully Tobers, Mitov and Dabbagh (who asked to come off after a knock) all fine for Sunday. 2 Quote
manc_don Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Was disappointing to see how easily they cut through us for their goals. I'd argue goals no. 1, 3 and 4 should have been saved by Doohan. Does Mitov save them? Probably. Have to say, our goal was actually really well worked and a great finish by Morris. Not sure how Dabbagh didn't connect with his chance. Hopefully it's just a case of match fitness and awareness. But fuck, our defence man, how easy did we make it for them? Quote
Goldie03 Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago I found it incredibly frustrating and if we had a bit more composure might have got an early goal but I say that so many times when we play Celtic!! Ex hubby Celtic fan text at half time and said the scoreline was mad The stats are staggering tho we haven't beaten them since 2018 and they have only lost back to back league games once in 12 seasons I think I started the night with some weird notion we would match them like last outing wtf Quote
Reekie_Red Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Have to wonder whether Jimmy opted to rest Mitov whilst he continues his recovery, knowing that this would've been a game where celtic were likely to be quite physical on whoever was in goals for us. A bit disappointed with the score, but not surprised by the result. This was always gonna be a tall ask of a team who were still on an absolutely diabolical run only 3 weeks ago. Just hope this result doesn't do anything to their confidence Quote
tlg1903 Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago I was scratching my head at half time how we were 3 down but I have no complaints with the result even if the scoreline flattered celtic a wee bit. Fingers crossed the confidence isn't too dented with Sunday on the horizon. Quote
