Two live radio commentaries on Sunday. Saturday Sportscene highlights Sunday Sportscene highlights Open all Mics programme across the country on Saturday. Both home and away Scotland games live on TV. And to think people don't pay their licence fee because they don't think they get their money's worth.. Yep, great coverage. I'm discussing their bias coverage of the SPFL premier. If either scum team has been playing at 15:00 today, it would have been covered with live commentary. I think that the BBC has a whole host of great programming worth paying the licence fee for. Quote

OrlandoDon Posted March 15 Report Posted March 15 35 mins, meh. Couple of half chances by nisbet. Definitely the better team but creating little. Attacking players not standing out, Morris done very little. We need him involved! Quote
BigAl Posted March 15 Report Posted March 15 Kind of feel as if after a bright opening to the game this game has gone a little flat and is starting to look like your typical Saints V Dons game Couple of snap shots from Nisbet but other than that our forward players have created nothing. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted March 15 Report Posted March 15 Snooze. 0-0 at half, their keeper had very little to do, one big save from mitov. Very little from Mackenzie, while he has gotten forward, no lung busting runs and not dangerous crosses. Likewise Morris. I’d be inclined to put shinnie left and Clarkson in with palaversa. Mackenzie hasn’t been bad but we need him and Morris creating. Clarkson can add creativity as it’s pretty painful so far. Quote

So if they had the resources (and that's the major point, today they don't) what game should be the live commentary? Biggest crowd is at Tynecastle? Highest placed team playing is Hibs? So why would Aberdeen be picked? As it goes, there's a commentary team covering the rugby, another commentary team that had a game last night & another one tomorrow, and a third commentary team that only returned from Istanbul yesterday and have a game tomorrow. I didn't suggest Aberdeen would, hence why I said "no commentary game today", which I only spotted when I went to check if Aberdeen were on. I would have expected Motherwell vs St Mirren or Hearts v County. If there had been a game at Parkhead or Ibrox, those busy, busy commentary teams would have found a way to get there, and you very much know that is the case. Again, I'm commenting on the bias. It's disgraceful. I'm not quite sure why you're defending it to be honest, it's not like it's hidden, and it's a bit disingenuous to be defending it with excuses that don't address the problem of bias, such as you are. A bit like a politician deliberately ignoring the point. Quote
BigAl Posted March 15 Report Posted March 15 Second half shaping up the way the first one ended. Pretty uninspiring stuff in my opinion Reckon the Beeb have done Rico a favour today by not covering Quote
BigAl Posted March 15 Report Posted March 15 First couple of changes made on the hour. Reckon another ten minutes and Dabbagh will be off and replaced by Sokler.. Quote

I wish Cormack could get Thelin to boycott the interviews. Not necessarily, no. We're talking about five live commentaries and two Sportscene programmes in four days. Let's say Celtic were playing at home today; they MAY have been able to send a commentator and have him back at the office to record Sportscene (but I disagree they definitely would have). They can't if he was in Perth, Edinburgh, and probably not Rugby Park either (bear in mind Sportscene is on air at 7:15pm). Quote
