Scottish Premiership: Ross County v Aberdeen

Felt a bit like destiny given how few occasions we’ve actually met them at hampden (3?), but half of me still thought we’d land Celtic as per. Are we expecting attendance fc to request a 60:40 split? 😂 anyway, hopefully it’ll be a decent time of day, it is over Easter weekend though. Read some saying they’d be happy for a smaller louder crowd rather than more dandies. Not sure I quite agree but can understand the rationale.

This is a bloody good opportunity to make the final, hope we take it.

Actually just the twice. The 86 final and the 96 semi. We did meet in a League Cup semi in 1947 where Aberdeen handed them a 6-2 shellacking, but that was at Easter Road.

I wasn't, it's the last semi-final I missed, been at every one since.

Was it on the telly? I listened to it on the radio, as I was in Aviemore on holiday, which I can only assume was arranged before we got to the semi. I would have had a season ticket at the time, but can't remember for the life of me why I wouldn't have arranged to go. I'd have thought I'd have at least watched on the telly, but maybe the place I was didn't have one. I have it in my head that Robertson cheated for the winner? I've probably just assumed that. I don't think I've ever seen highlights of the match.

Edit: I was probably pished

Thr media loved Robertson, same goes for Colin Cameron. Robertson was a whinging knobend who flapped at the ref until he got his way. And Cameron, whilst relatively handy, was waaaay overrated and was quite righly put in his place by the gar superior Paul Bernard on both players' comeback games at Tinkcastle

No idea if it was on the tv but Robertson did indeed score the winner though I don't remember it being controversial.  It was a shot from the edge of the box that snuck in if memory serves.

I have been at every semi final we have played in both domestic cups since 1976.

I don't really recollect much about that '96 semi final. There is little doubt I was completely pished.

Pretty sure it was a saturday 3pm kick off as i remember watching updates on skysports.

All 3 goals were late and neither Rousset or Watt covered themselves in glory for any of them

There you go folks but be warned the quality is shite, a bit like our crowd on the day.

Fully expect Hearts to bring this up as grounds for them to receive a bigger share of the tickets than us

You weren't joking. As seen through the eyes of someone falling asleep.

Lunchtime kick-off confirmed.

Both clubs, SFA and police wanted 3pm on Saturday without any TV coverage, but on behalf of @goldie03 we fought hard for a lunchtime KO. Have also convinced ScotRail not to put on any extra trains, and transport Scotland have agreed to begin roadworks that weekend.

Bank holiday weekend.

Of course there will be roadworks and rail replacement buses

At £70 for an adult, I'm not convinced it'd be worth it. For a car of four, you could probably get a cheaper taxi.

Can you also make sure it rains, and/or snows.  Doesn't need to be all day, just during the drive down and the match itself.

All the tickets for this are to be digital. You've to download the Hampden Park app to get your ticket.

It's how it works for Scotland games and is relatively straightforward once you get the hang of it, but I can see large queues at the turnstiles while folk who don't like technology wave their phone about confused.

Getting some of the Luddite’s I get ticket for to download an app is going to be fun. Know a couple who don’t even have a smart phone.

I've just been in the pub all night with someone who doesn't even have a phone 🤣

No phone? What did they look at while you were talking to them?
