Guest swaddon Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 In honour of the Netherlands playing tonight, who is the best Dutch player Aberdeen have had? Quote
rednek Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Torn between Gillhaus and snelders. Think Gillhaus shades on account he never played for the filth. Quote
Sweetchuck Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Theo. No contest. Still a hero, despite going to Der Hun. Quote
Snapper Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Yep, Theo or Hans. Opted for Theo in the end as he was simply outstanding for the majority of his time at Pittodrie. Quote
Slim Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Theo was the best servant to us, Gillhaus was the most talented. Quote
Mentorred Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Voted for Hans in the end but Theo is also way up there also. Quote
daals heid Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Toughy but went for Snelders ahead of Gillhaus. Theo Then Caat was a hugely talented player IMO. Quote
stonefish100 Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Despite later turning into a minky hun bastard, it's got to be Theoooo! Oooooooottttttt! Quote
stubo72 Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Gillhaus all the way. Loved watching him play, and only wish we had a couple of his calibre at the club these days! (A goalkeeper as good as Theo would also be most welcome, mind! Shame he blotted his copy-book by going to Snake Mountain - I'm still petty enough to hold that against players!) Quote
sheep_shagger Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Went for Snelders as well but was a close call. Quote
chunk Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Struggled between Snelders and Gillhaus, like everyone else. Went for Theo in the end as I always liked his 'Nozzing Seelee' shouts at corners and the like. Such a simple instruction, so often ignored... Quote
Guest ally s Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Gillhaus for me. Superb player, wish he'd stayed with us longer. Quote
YMW Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Voted for Hans, it was hard to choose between him and Theo Snelders!!! Who voted for Bus and De Visscher they should not even be mentioned in the same breath as Hans or Theo they 2 were class acts!! Quote

Bus could have been a good player but had to carry to many passengers Quote
Guest swaddon Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Bus could have been a good player but had to carry to many passengers Do you think AFC will miss the Bus next season? Quote
torry_battery_ram Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Voted for Gillhaus as the Hans that did scoring made TBR happy on many occasions And no we will not miss Bus. Quote
Ajja Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 Hans Hans super Hans for me. As someone else said, Theo provided a more consistent and solid stint for the club but Hans lit the place up in a way that few have done before and none after. Quote
Jute Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Most skillful Hans most consistent Theo but hans shades it just for me. Quote
BobbyBiscuit Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Theo for me as he had such a hard act to follow when Jim Leighton left and did a marvelous job of making us forget Jim. Gillhaus was excellent though. Quote
Goldie03 Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 Ah those were the days I was at Dens on a beautiful sunny day to see Theo make his wonderful debut and also at East End Park when Hans scored that amazing overhead kick  Quote

BigAl Posted June 14, 2008 Report Posted June 14, 2008 It is no competition in my eyes. When you consider the what Theo had to follow, to come in and win the awards in his first year say it all really. Interesting to see all the Dutch players we've signed over the years. Interesting, in my humble opinion behind Theo and Gillhaus our third best signing from Dutch football was that popular scouser known as Paul Mason Quote
