TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 Please don't tell me you think we are doing well here ? We are around 43% towards a tally that was a very poor target to start with and we are pretty much 50% of the way through the season unless we have a cup run......oh and did I metion that 4 of them were penalties We are doing well NOW. Our desperate start has fucked us. Quote
Ajja Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 We are doing well NOW. Our desperate start has fucked us. Agreed. However, this thread is about our strikers and I'm still not convinced its anything other than a poor season for them again. Hope to see that turn around in January Quote

However, this thread is about our strikers and I'm still not convinced its anything other than a poor season for them again. Hope to see that turn around in January I disagree. Miller and Mackie look dangerous and Miller is adding goals to his game and both are making and taking chances. It means fuck all if they don't keep it up though. Quote

glasgowdon Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 9 of Miller's goals are in the league according to Scotprem, this puts him third behind Boydpen and Samaras. Can Miller hit 20 SPL goals? Quote

manc_don Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 Sky sports said that it was only 8 Nevermind though, I still gave a cheer when it came on in the bar I was at Quote
glasgowdon Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 Sky sports said that it was only 8 Nevermind though, I still gave a cheer when it came on in the bar I was at I noticed that. I also noticed a photo of Foster in the Metro with a caption saying it was Consi. Quote
glasgowdon Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 Checked RedWeb, it is 8. Before the start of the season he'd only scored 16 league goals for us. He could double that this year. Quote

boboisared Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 I think we're allowed to put Aluko up front now Quote
Ajja Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 I think we're allowed to put Aluko up front now Looks like MacDonald up front might be a better option, matching Mackie for goals now Will we see the following headline next week: Non-hitmen backed to bag 30 goals Quote

Great header today. An inspired signing. Quote

BobbyBiscuit Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 Seconded, Bobo. what's your beef with Big Mac? (see what i did there...? Ok, i'll get my cloak...) Quote
TENEMENTFUNSTER Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 McDonald cannot tackle all which is hugely annoying, his absolute abortion of a dive against Hamilton really jaded my opinion of him. He runs all day and runs intelligently. He also knows the way to goal, he's scored some very impressive goals this season. Quote

I like him, I think it was a shrewd signing. I dunno what the pair of your interpretation of what I said was, but up here it just means he doesn't like a tackle. Quote
bilbobaggins Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 McDonald settled into the team far quicker than Nicholson, who he replaced, did. McDonald, Aluko, Kerr and Mulgrew for effectively 100k is an amazing piece of work by the club. Quote

Ferguson and Mendes or Kerr and MacDonald? This will sound ridiculous, probably even biased...but I wouldn't swap ours for theirs. Quote
