Reekie_Red Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 I was putting up the fixtures on the site a few minutes ago, and had a good read of them for the first time. If we are going to run aground at any point throughout this season, it's either gonna be November or January. In November, I reckon we can get a win against St Mirren, but will draw against Hibs away and Killie at home (we NEVER seem to do well against Killie). But matches against Rangers, away to United and at home to Motherwell are gonna be tough as fuck! But look forward a couple of months to January ... We start off with a trip to Hamilton and end with a trip to Falkirk. two tough ties, yes. But inbetween? We've got back-to-back matches against both sides of the Old Firm!!! Our only saving grace is that they're both at Pittodrie and our record against both at home recently isn't too bad Quote

stoney Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 More worried about the start of the season to be honest, as there are no games you look at and say thats an easy win. Although all winable they are certainly not gimmies, hopefully we can get off to a good start so we can afford a poor dec/jan. Quote

Hate using the cliche, but there are no "gimmies" as you put it, as Gretna away proved last season. Even if we do have a good start to the season, you'll no doubt still bitch like fuck if we do have a poor dec/jan after saying we could afford to. Quote
